Thanks Plato, I was following your split updates closely throughout the week, and was thinking you might pull a rabbit out of the hat:sly:

 I wish that was the case, every time I ended up with a good T1 I would end up with a bad T3 because of the downhill left :banghead:

I was getting regular mid .7s in T3 but didn't go wide enough for the downhill left and ended up loosing a tenth on my submitted lap :ouch:

Here's me rambling on about .7s in T3, how the hell were you running .6s? I did notice you managed to hold a MPH more than me through the left I was struggling on, so I take it that's how you squeezed out another tenth.

Fantastic lap, be watching and trying to learn a bit more from you in future events, now that iv'e realized I can watch you're replays 👍

Not sure what you're link is, just a white box to me

EDIT: Just noticed it was a better quality video of you're lap

I see my mistake in T3 was an expensive one. Congrats to D3 podium finishers for running those awsome times.
And thanks Dan for the video, going to check it out now.

My replay.

Clean, and good 👍 It's weird watching that car in white - to me anyway.

Nicely done! I'm sure if you had taken a straight line out of the last turn instead of preparing for the next lap 1st place would have been yours. :sly:

Nice to see two Canadian flags on the podium! NA sweep to boot 👍

Big congrats to Hydro for a nice D3 win, well deserved and to WRP001 to complete the podium. The podium is split by less than a tenth! Congrats to all other division podiums and once again a stunning time by Dan!

I, like yourself Hydro, had to rely on a last ditch effort before the deadline to get a clean run in. I previously had to scrap a 1'44.361 due to a very slight off in the first chicane and with about 25 minutes to go til the deadline, I hit my current time. I stopped immediately to go check the replay and submitted with a few minutes to spare. So all in all, an exciting photo finish
👍 :D and Yes it was....

Thanks Dan. Great video, as always. I like how GTP WRS - when looked at quickly - looks like GTP WaRS

Congrats to all Division and Podium positions!

Awesome video as always! Of course podium isn't official yet as a few replays haven't been verified, but hopefully that's done soon and nobody get's red flagged. [i'm away until tomorrow].

@Poolhaas... what exactly did you do in T3 to lose the time? Was is the first left after the tunnel or the exit from the long tunnel?

I missed my braking mark slightly on the next left (last in T3) and overshot the apex slightly and I think that cost me, but thought it was going to cost me more.

Here's mine.
...by the way, when people are talking about b/b.. is that brake balance? I don't understand the abbreviation. I didn't see anywhere you could adjust the brake balance. Or maybe I was looking in the wrong place?

Anyway, glad to be running the wrs again as I hadn't entered since prologue because of a busy schedule. Hopefully I'll get to run a few more soon but maybe not for the next 1 or 2 weeks.

Yes, B/B is brake balance.

If you go into your controller configuration in the options menu you can map it to the selected button of your choice, somebody correct me if i'm wrong as i'm not on the PS3, but I think what you're looking for in the options menu is the R/A functions, hope this helps:tup:

The left hander, I missed the turn in and had to let go of the throttle way too much and too long.
didn't have time to left to correct it.

:cheers:Congrats to all podiums and division winners!

Special nod to Hydro, T3IR, and WRP - Nice job guys with running D2 times.
Nice laps there guys, watching your replays made me see where I had lost some time.👍

It definitely was a fun week this week pushing that little Pug.:)

First of all, here's the D1&2 Podium vid. Thanks Dan 👍

Then some good news 👍

And unfortunatly some bad news. EDIT: I need some second and third and ... opinions on this guys. In line with like w-g-e says or not?

Looking at the pictures, I think that could still be clean. 2 tyres have to be vertically in line with the track all the time, so a small outside part of the tyre could be in line with the track.
However, I wouldn't count on it. It's way too close for submission anyway.

Oh ok, I'll EDIT the red flag then till more responses come.
Thanks 👍

I agree that Blarg is a DQ, without having to view the replay.

This picture is the smoking gun.

Some pretty amazing laps there guys 👍 I know the best I could've done (Which I hadn't quite managed on a clean lap) wouldn't have affected my position in the results, so i'm happy with my performance. The speed of the top 4 in particular was insane. Congratulations to all division winners and podium places, this was a tough week with a lot of competition it seems.

I'll submit my replay tomorrow, as i've just got back from my holiday. I want to do it now, however my Brother who moved out last week decided to take the table that I had everything hooked up to whilst I was away (And without my consent), leaving my TV etc. on the floor, and I haven't the energy to set it up again. Technically it was his table, but I assumed he didn't want it after he took both 'communal' desks, which he was not entitled to at all 👎 How I can't wait until I move back into halls in September. Currently sat on my bedroom floor with my laptop

Clean lap, Replay matches time, car and tire specs. Nice Job!

Here are the sector splits for the top 3 in D3:

Hydro. 23.585 29.092 31.109 20.703
T13R.. 23.615 28.929 31.219 20.760
WRP001 23.453 29.123 31.374 20.633

I definitely lost the race in T3 as I originally suspected. At least I killed T4 (relatively) and made it close. Another nice battle... Thanks!

EDIT: I did kill T4 👍 only lost .053 there to DHolland and actually beat a few D1 drivers through T4. It wasn't my fastest time through there either. (Although nothing official yet as I'm still waiting for replay verification). Of course I stunk up the joint on the technical sectors so that says what? 👎

Anytime! Great week 👍

I still think the difference was the final stretch. On a track like this, if you are certain you are going to set a best / almost best lap, forget setting up the next lap and run a straight line to the finish. Sure it blows the next lap, but I have a feeling the podium would have looked a bit different. :) My 2cents for this week 👍

Thanks for the review Hydro. Now the podium is official 👍

Have you loaded up the data from my lap or T13R's lap in data analyzer when viewing your lap? It's very interesting how close everything was except for a few very crucial corner entries/exits. Makes it very clear where time was gained or lost. (especially clear if you just focus on the two speed curves).

I noticed we had quite different shift points a few times, but didn't seem to make that much of a difference relative to corner entries and exits.

Thanks, and another nice run you made! 👍

First of all, here's the D1&2 Podium vid. Thanks Dan 👍

N/P, Speedy! Didn't have a lot of time again this week, and starting Friday, the weekend is all Madden! :)

Splits:

23.380
28.807
31.088
20.650

There was certainly room for improvement, T4 is the only sector I was happy with. I'm happy that i'm running amongst the D1 drivers rather than mixing with the D3 guys like I was in week 26.

My PAL Replay:

I didn't get a chance to review any replays. I had already downloaded Hydro's replay but I haven't had any time to turn on my PS3 since I saved my own replay :(

From looking at the D3 podium video, I can see we were all very similar in some places and a little different in others. Thanks for the breakdown in your previous post WRP001, it's always interesting to see statistics like that.

I haven't actually. I think I've only checked that a couple of times since the game came out. I'll take a look to see what you mean though. I did notice a few differences as well, most notably 2nd vs. 3rd gear in turn 2.
I used 2nd, but would usually shift down late, floor it to maintain speed, then shift up late because of the uphill acceleration. Of course my best lap had one of my worst examples of turn 2, so it's kind of moot. I never found that the speed differed much regardless of the gear though, it was more about what I felt comfortable with, and that car starting an uphill climb at ~94 km/h in 3rd gear felt very uncomfortable to me. :sly:

@Hydro. I don't think the turn 2 shifting down to 2nd (or stay in 3rd) made that much of a difference either and probably came down to personal preference. More power in Gear 2 for the climb, but loss of power while shifting probably cancelled each other out to some extent. Personally I just drove smoother without a shift through that whole section. The same goes for shift point I think... shifting a little earlier or later on a straight, say from 4th to 5th, didn't make too much difference with that car.

@All. I think we are down to just one replay left to verify (Seismica), unfortunately it's in PAL format otherwise I'd do it myself. Also looks like the LB didn't capture the two red flags this week.

Here we go:

user118395pic1573412914.gif
23.380/28.807/31.088/20.650

Neat chicane , minimal amount of track used in the last 2 corners. Very close to being too far in the grass.

Thanks for checking my replay  The last two turns were cutting it fine, but I could've went a little wider on the exit to the final turn, don't you think? :D It was a clean, but messy lap at the same time, I missed so many apexes (Namely in T3) and lost too much speed in the first chicane, but overall it was a very good lap.
