Race Date(s):
Thursday, 9/8/11
Lobby Open: 9:30-45 Est
Qualifying: 10:00 Est
Race: 10:15 Est

Lobby Procedure:
Practice is simply that. I will be in there to give advice if you need assistance in dialing in your car, and you will be free to drive as you please.
10:00 I will reset the track. When you get on the track it is asked that you do not back out after you have completed a timed lap. After you have set a lap that you are happy with, return to the pits, but do not return to the main screen.
10:15 I will start the race. We will be adhering to the GTP code of conduct as listed here. Any inappropriate driving will result in being barred from participating in future races since this is not a series where points may be docked.

Track(s):
Mazda Laguna Seca 15 Laps

Regulations:
113Hp
660Kg
407pp
Racing Hard tires

Race Run-Down
This race will be hosted by theVintage Sports Car Series, and run much in the same manner, ie- casual and relaxed. The S800 should provide a good challenge much akin to the Cappuccino Cup in terms of reliance on driver skill with every car being identical. If you do not have one of these cars, they are for sale right now in the Online Dealership, and with the upgraded turbo still costs less than $200,000. On a side note if this proves to be popular I will take the time to make it into a fully organized series.

Excellent write up. I'm still strongly suggesting going naturally aspirated, the car is so low on hp it wont make a huge difference in a car like this. Lets see what other think.

I am afraid that leaving it at 90Hp will be just like running a go-kart that doesn't spin so easily. The whole race would just become a draft battle in that case.

I am online now if you would like to do a couple test runs with me.

I'm interested, depending on time/day. Weekday evenings after 9:30 EST are best.

I'd suggest setting a pp limit slightly below what you get fully tuned with a high-rpm turbo. Then allow drivers to pick which turbo they want. Often times you can gain time on one part of a track and lose it on another by picking a different turbo. Makes for interesting racing.

Thats an interesting proposal. This is likely to be a one time race depending on popularity. But i do like the idea of using a lower PP level.

Had fun with it last night so you can count me in, depending on the day.

After some testing (And a couple bull**** incidents on he Ring) it has been determined that power should be limited to 113Hp, and 407Pp. This way you have the option of both the mid and high RPM turbos as Chuyler suggested, and enough horsepower to actually move.

I usually don't race friday nights (in an attempt to have a life beyond GT5)

Dude, I keep wanting to add this car to my favorites but I can't find a reason too. Now you finally gave me one. I have over 1100 cars, so I'm trying to have my favs all sorted out so I can grab cars quickly in my garage online. But anyways.....sign me up!!!

If I am online tonite I am down for this!

I know what you mean...I'm in between jobs so at the moment I am combating my social life with mindless video games on a fairly regular basis so I've wound up being good most always of late. But anyways, when would be a better alternative?

You missed a couple good races last night. I almost managed a perfect lap of the Ring (5 seconds ahead of Ford in 2nd place) until it decided to get frisky on the third to last corner and spin.... I have a feeling I'll be on tonight if I'm not watching football, so I'm sure we can get some racing in.

My open slots (not occupied by other series):
Sunday 9:45-12
Monday 9:45-12
Tuesday 9:45-10:30
Thursday 9:45-12
** Eastern Daylight time

I bought my at 0/0 from the OCD, then gave it to Bob to run the Indy 500 (He got lapped before he crossed the line the third time :( ) to break it in, then used the mid-range turbo to give it the 113Hp. With the high RPM turbo it should give you 128 before break in, so you could restrict it from there if you didn't want to use the mid-range.

Could I get all of you who are interested, and not already on my friend list to sent a request to GTP_SpitRacer so we can get this show on the road so to speak?

Oh, and I believe that I will be recording and/or making a highlight video of this, so lets try to make this as good a race a possible hmm?

Hop in a lobby with me and we'll see if we can figure it out Agro.

And I'll write ya in cenk. We got plenty of space.
