Snake Special - Part 1

Here we go, it's Part 1/2 of a Viper Special. The Dodge Viper always has been one of my favourite cars, especially in GT5. The looks, sounds, handling and the astonishing power these snakes have - even in stock form - is great. Some shots of several Vipers out of my/a friend's garage.

Taken this ACR out for a quick night race. What a beast!

Tried to make this looking a bit day-ish. Do you like the editing? I'm unsure.

A Viper previously owned by me. She was lovely, one of the first premium cars I bought in GT5 because I wanted - not needed - her. Too bad my save got damaged, I lost my first two weeks GT5 career which isn't that bad actually - but starting all over was quite frustrating, especially because I lost this only two days old snake which isn't easy to buy if you're not rich at GT5's career beginning. I bought a yellow SRT-10 again, but it's just not the same...
Anyway, 2 days were enough for about 100 miles of driving and taking some shots.

Personally it reminds me to the Al Thani cars :dopey:

This is great. May I suggest that you experiment a bit with lower f-values in some coming shots. They're looking good otherwise. Keep it up. 👍

Snake Special - Part 2

Here we are again, Part 2 of the Viper Special.

First, an old - no, THE old Viper. The most classical modern muscle car in my opinion.

Shots were taken several months ago, wasn't great at editing back then, not much better today though. Sorry for the shots being quite dark. Anyway, this one went out quite good I think:

I fixed that nasty smoke bugs, took me quite some time to edit those two ones... comments/criticism would be great. I know they are a bit too dark.

Next, you see this amazing matte light green beast. It's mine, but I'm not using it as much as it actually should be driven... I have too many other nice cars I guess...

Played with the lighting and green tones here, hope you like it!

Come on, I'm hoping you like at least 1 or 2 shots of this set? If yes, please leave me a comment. Constructive criticism if you don't like my pictures is also welcome, I'm trying to get better from photo to photo as much as possible.

I'm planning to do a Lamborghini shooting with many orange bulls eating the roads next week, will open a new thread to organise this thing. Link will be posted here as soon as I'm ready with the OP.​

Firstly I'd recommend not starting a new gallery 👍 You will be able to do it all in this thread :)

Now the set... I think the first green viper shot is just too bright, but the other three are good. Not as keen on the first few older viper shots

you put your location is in your gtr so you have to put your gtr :P
and keep it going ;)

The cherry-red Cobra is brilliant!
I love the complementary contrast, the perspective / composition and especially the lighting. Looks like early morning Nordschleife to me.
Your Vipers are fine – but I don't love those "pubertal" body colours.
Fine start anyway, go ahead and show us more!

Thank you, the Cobra shot is by the way actually a quite old shot that I edited in a completely new way a few days ago, I'm happy that people enjoy it. 👍
If I remember correct, this was done on Le Mans, anyway, both tracks - Sarthe and the 'Ring - have great sunset lightings I think. :)

About the Viper colours, I know that they all are a bit crazy and it definitely depends on your personal taste if you like them (or not). I'll try to post some more neutral cars in the next uploads.

This shot really caught my attention. It's very well composed. You get a real sense of speed from it, not to mention you capture the MC4-12P in all it's glory.

The LFA shot is just unreal. :embarrassed: Really made my jaw hit the floor for a while, love the matte black colour choice too!
 
Nice job KiroKai! PD really did a good job rendering the LFA, but your presentation of it helped bring out the detail.
 
I'm glad you guys like my pictures. The LF A picture, unfortunately, didn't even got into the poll... anyway, I hope I'll have some more luck next time.

Sorry for not posting any updates, I will try to get some new shots up here soon to keep the gallery living. :)

Audi R8 - The Gallardo for your everyday business

Yeah, I'm still addicted to these crazy colours... anyway, this is one of only a few cars that actually match matte yellow in my opinion.

Ahh, this. Brings me memories when I posted my first ever photo mode shot in your R35 thread. Personally I think you have to zoom out and utilize the rule of thirds instead but it still looks fine. By the way, if you're wondering how one of my R35's looks like (without being smashed :lol:), it's in here.

You two hooning? :dopey: Photography with two cars is pretty tricky, since you have to make the photo look good while having both cars included. This shot is also great.

Anyway, here are some replies:

1. The shot is taken from the yellow Viper set... I simply used Photoshop to get that colour. :)
Though you can try Paint Chips like "Surf Blue" or "Turchese Farfalla" (comes from an old standard Fiat 500) which will give you a blue turquoise colour... if you want to have such a bright one as on the picture you should use the DLC colour "GT-Fluroscence 002" (Image from Rare Colour Database Thread). I have a couple "Al Thani" style cars made with that colour, if you're interested to trade drop me a PSN message. 👍

2. Yeah, when I look at that image today I think it's overdone, when I edited I tried to give it as much light as possible to make it feeling... bright? I don't remember :lol:

3. Where?
If it is TV advertisement: Yes! ...But give some credits to me. :P

4. Yeah I can imagine that, had to live with a very slow connection until early 2011 too, especially loading pictures takes ages then... sorry. :ill:
I usually save my .jpg files with quality set to 12 in Photoshop though to get the best picture quality.
