Set-Up for CotedAzur Historic Cup

This gave me so much fustration that I about quit b-spec for good, but finally found the right setup. So here it is:

Toyota 7- downforce 60/85, top speed set to 155mph, add 50 kg of ballast to the rear of the car. So move the position all the way back. Racing Mediums



Pace up till the tunnel then pace down and repeat. I won by 15+ seconds. Just make sure he gets a good start and is near the 2j and you shoyld be golden.
 
Was struggling with this too, but the ballast-tip worked nicely. 👍

been trying this race for the past hour is nearly all the cars avalible, will give your set up a crack next go and let you know how i get on :)

EDIT* - It worked, put me 8 seconds a lap faster then 2nd place! Good work!

Its driving me crazy this challenge. The 2 tracks (Deep Forest and Cote d'Azur), its getting annoying :( i cant do it i tried toyota 7 with my tunes with yours and nothing i tried more cars and nothing :( any one can help me please? Or borrow me a car just to do it? Thanks in advance

What level is your driver? Because i did it with the exact setup and car i posted above.
 
Quite easy for me. As mentioned above - the most important thing is "pace down" in the tunnell, 'cause when too red, Bob's gonna crash into the wall in the chicane. Otherwise no problems, the best overtaking spot for me turned to be the corner before the tight 180 degrees corner.
Oh and i used Toyota 7, max grip, close speed tranny, no ballast or something, tyres... Well the best possible, can't recall which one they were. Got to 1st position in 7th lap, then I was very carefull trying to keep Bob in blue, won by 4-5 seconds...
 
FINALLY!!! Deep Forest done with 15sec+ from the second!!! I had to try over a thousand tunes xD lol right now Côte d'Azur!

*edited* ----1 hour later here I am just to say F#&% THAT! now Im stressed im out of GT5 for the next couple of hours...going kill some guys at Battlefield 3 online to destress me! xD lol

i find it odd that i was in your position and then i tried the tune in OP and nailed it first time with 20 seconds plus lead
 
My driver did it alone, always crashed in that damned chicane in Cote de Azur when I tried to push him (pace up) a little, it was so annoying so I let him do it by his own, turn off the TV and walk away, 15 minutes later when I was back, he won the race, lol

Just been experimenting and I've found that I doesn't matter what level the driver is, I just made a fresh new driver with the tune in OP and he finished 2nd first time round then straight after he won on the 2nd attempt.

So for some reason your BOB just doesn't like you haha

Im gonna fire my BoB I'll make him homeless if he continues losing :mad: lol maybe tonight I'll try with some of the other 4 BoBs maybe theres someone who likes me :lol: otherwise we'll have trouble :mischievous::mischievous: fhummm the problem is that I even gave him a nice gear the alpinestar black...and after all he still doing this to me?! :eek::banghead: lol

Thanks very much mate this has been doing my head in for months, used your tune and hey presto won first time.👍 Happy days
 
One more thing to heighten ur success.
If u see chaparral 2j or Toyota 7 in top 2 position in the grid, u may want to get out and restart to get more favorable grid. Those 2 run away from competition if unhindered by other less competitive cars.
Bobs differ greatly in skills. U may want to try different one. Get his level as high as possible before trying the race. If u need chap 2j, I can put one on share.

Yeah, this ^

If either of those cars are first after 2-3 corners and you're not up there, your race is pretty much screwed. They'll keep driving a lot faster lap times than what your best will ever be. :P Love PD sometimes.

first lap 3rd place with 2D on 1st position and a 2J on 2nd at the 3rd lap I passed the 2J but crashed on the last turn...lost positions only on lap 7 I passed to the 2nd position with the 2J on 1st already...only on the final lap I crashed him and smashed him and drowned him and everything bad xD lol then 1st till the very end :D lol Finished with 2 seconds from 2J

*edited* PS: JasonK92 you're right...my other BoB didnt like me at all! xD lol first attempt with this one and GOLD :P btw it wasnt with this tune ;) I did try this tune with the other BoB once but after he failed me a couple of times I tried a tune based on my stupid BoB and did work out with this one at first attempttttttttt :D finally :D
