Would join the room but apparently I'm NAT type 3 now.
Waiting for someone on my friendslist to join.:P

So the room number doesn't work for you Wes?
I'm not sure if this is a double post or not but anyway..

I get an error message when I click on the icon for typing in room numbers. It says I'm NAT type 3 and can't type in room numbers. So it doesn't work for me (like any other room number wouldn't work).

Tiggles M3 set up of funtabulous funk

Weight 1350
Ballasted -18 (rearward)

Rear wing, 15.

All the engine nick nacks including stage 3 (it's how I got the car, so don't know if it's an advantage or not... Cheers Cpt D)

Intake and Exhaust is all there.

Transmission 290

LSD - torque 9
- accel 40
- brake 18

Suspension

-8 ride height -4
12.8 spring rate 11.7
5 extension 5
5 compression 5
5 Anti-roll bars 4

1.4 camber 0.5
0.04 toe 0.00

As you can pretty much see, I don't know much in the way of extreme setups... But you can have at this one!

This set up can manage me a 1'33.9 (though I'm yet to prove it without draft, my sector times say it's doable on lap 3 once the tyres are all warm)

ps. Being told I'm poos hurts my feelings :)

Good addition to the thread tiggles 👍
And I know it can get a bit heated at times, there's always one :)

Having an awesome night, will have pictures up and possibly a video from Jon.

👍

Great racing guys. great track and very clean racing.

Hi Noss, nice to see you racing with us again this is becoming a habit, these things do happen on track which we all know it’s not done on purpose, just a misjudgment at the time.

Hope you join us next week for the Stock racing too. 👍

Phillip.

A great turnout and another awesome night.
Thanks to all, you know who you are 👍

Here are some pictures of last nights races. Love the photo of Jon loosing it after clipping the grass, also the one of Tiggles and I side by side with the slightest of gaps. I think our wing mirrors would of hit each other.

I'll also have a video uploaded soon of Noss, Turbo, Replay, Cicua and yours truly. Probably the best race I've had in this event. All 5 cars covered by a second...until Simon binned it :ouch:

I'm not about tonight for any racing, so it's farewell to the M3s for me.
It's been another classic event that just got better and better, but I'm looking forward to testing on Monday with the 420PP stock cars.

Jon is working on a track for us to use, but we usually test in a private room, so sorry to any who aren't friends yet.

Watch this space for the details for the next event!

Enjoy :)

Hello again chaps.

I've just done some testing for the stock car event and it's looking like it could be another classic.

I tried around 8 cars and there was around 1.5s difference between them all, so not bad for just some random cars I have.

I'm hoping once a few of us have tested/raced together, we will figure out a selection of cars that are similar and good to race together as there will probably be 1 or 2 cars that may need to be banned. Ideally we don't want this to turn in to a one make event. Variety is the spice of life ;) so we hope to see a wide range of cars out there on Monday.

We've got a good track already (that some of you have raced on before), but Jon is brewing up another in time for Monday, so we'll also be testing tracks as well as cars.

See you Monday
👍

HI all, a new joiner looking to get involved some this week;

not sure ill be around every night, but at few nights each week :)

Alexi, what kind of 'spec' cars are we testing on Monday? is it purely a PP based thing?
I'll back read this post to see if I spot any details...

Thanks

I assume you mean de-tuning?
If so, yes, that's totally fine, although ideally you should only de-tune around 25pp max, but there's no way of policing this, so we'll have to trust people.

Once a PP is selected, I'll probably go through all my stock cars and add a list of the cars available on this thread. It's probably going to be NSX's, S2000's, 350Z's, elise's, Beemers, Integra's, Civic's etc...

👍

Welcome to TCR Malc01

Close as you can to 420pp stock. maybe FR, MR, RR, and AWD but watch thread

Phillip

What will the tyres be? 420pp isn't exactly going to be lose.... I have probably the coolest Golf ever sitting on 423pp. No idea how it is speed wise, as it's a wee bit heavy but it looks awesome. SO I'M SIGNING IT UP!

... Atomic Orange with blue brake pads, can't go wrong really

420pp is good for me, lots of options :)

When you say stock, do you mean as in right out of the box, no tuning options (suspension, transmition, wing etc) - as well as no PP changing 'mods' / 'upgrades'

and what about pre-tuned cars? [the 2 civic race cars come to mind if they fit 420, or the spoon, mugen s2000s etc]

I assume you're talking about the R32?
I tested it last night and it was 2 tenths slower than an NSX over one lap, pretty good. You can really push it through the corners and in a long race it could be quick as it doesn't go through it's tyres as quick and they wear evenly.

Exactly Malc01, straight out the box. You'll probably want to change the oil, but that's it.

We're not allowing race cars, but the might allow the Mugen and spoon etc... It depends what advantage they have. We don't want it to turn in to a one make event, but we're going to keep it as open as possible to begin with, then narrow down the rules and ban a few cars, so we're left with a decent selection of cars that are very even.
We'll see how it evolves.

Was great testing last night with standard suspension. The cars pitching and rolling should make for some good replays.

I think the PP is pretty much set at 420PP, but another subject for discussion tonight is the tyre choice. My instinct was to use Sports Hard, but using the Medium or Soft would probably even up the cars a little and make better closer racing.

See you guys tonight 👍

Look I can do it in reverse. Thanks Mr A the pictures are awesome.

I'm just going to make a suggestion but sports hard might be the way to go but this is why we do testing, but this looks like a week that could be very interesting as I have a beautiful 8* rating track ready for you lovely people.

Tonephil Circuit, I really had Phil in mind when creating this one. It's a gem.

I have shared a big track, 3+ mile circuit for those that enjoy a bit of power and grip which you can download from my profile.

Thanks enjoy

Jonathan

Please don't. If I would choose it would be comfort medium tyres, comfort softs are good too. Sports hard tyres are 500PP and up for me. But sports hard tyres is really the grippiest I would go.

With no tuning at all, i think Sports Hard is a good choice...

I did an engine rebuild as well though :(

Starts looking for a new car..
See you all in a bit

Hi Malc01 you'll get away with an engine and body rebuild as long as you don't do any additional mods.

Really looking forward to doing some testing tonight. As I like horse power and grip but this is going to be fun as there is so much to chose from. Who's going to find that car, but then again you might be a good front wheel car driver or four wheel for that matter, and then there's the track to take into consideration, Oh man so much to do..... I need to find time lol.

I just wish we could get Fetchbot for this thread or something like it.

Joylord - do we wait for a room number, or add someone on a FR?

Do expect me to turn up with a number of Japanese FF/FR cars - but don't expect me to be quick

Rookie racer, on a DS3 pad, but I do have quite a bit of experience with 450PP tuned Japanese ricers ;) from the season events.. so hoping this isn't too far from 'home' :)

Still working right now :( but will try to open a room at 9pm.
Unless someone has already done it?

If so, make sure you name the room TCR - Testing.

See you soon.

Yeah sorry buddy I'm still at work and I'm not sure what time Alexi will be online. But as we will be testing tonight you will need to send either Alexi or myself a friend request, and don't worry I'm on the DS3 controller as well at the moment and I try my best.

I kinda feel like I'm just making up the numbers at the moment but every now and again the fingers work properly and I get to finish at the top end of the podium. Just a bit more practice and I'll be chasing Tiggles. (in my dreams).....
