GT Planet Compliment Thread

I do personally think that GTPlanet is far to friendly, clean, and chalked full of incredibly nice, helpful people, to actually be able to name individuals..

I don't really take notice of who says/does what, so will say thanks to myself for liking Skylines so much. :P

As stated earlier there are loads of great folk on here and online but 2 stand out for me Transcendance and RageApe, Top guys.

Jordan (created Gtplanet), Amar212 ( this guy always has some juicy info) and Tenacious D ( seems like a GT fan that appreciated PD....like me). Pretty much everyone on this site is nice because most boards are usually filled with trolls.

I get what you mean, but, in your eyes, who do you think deserves credit?

Thanks for the mentions, guys. It's good to know that all that typing is worth something around here. ;)

As others have said, there are so many worthwhile members here that it's hard not to say something other than, "Oh, pretty much everyone." If you made sensible posts which furthered a discussion, or someone who helped with great tunes, or is a good race host or whatever, surely you know who you are.

Jordan, Famine, Scaff, daan, and the other mods (most of the time) are no brainers. This place wouldn't be what it is without them.

amar212 can't be mentioned enough. He brings great insight as a game journalist, and just about all of the juicy news and previews of Gran Turismo goodies to GTPlanet.

And... jeepers, it's hard to think of who to mention from the citizenry here for fear of leaving someone out. dhandes, analog and Mike Rotch (gah, that nick! also a cool mod) for race hosting and stiff competition. JDMKing, MOTORTRENDMitch, SavageEvil, analog, Scaff, Tyger... TMSCorvette (probably butchered that)... SlipZtrEme... uhm... need more coffee. :D Seriously, there are hundreds of posters who have interesting things to say and make you see things in a new light and think or something. Just read the second paragraph and know that if you had something substantial to say, then you're in my list too in absentium.

This is about the coolest place on the intranets, and I'm looking forward to spending some quality time here in 2012. Happy New Year! :D

Mark, for his avatar.

Mark, for his avatar.

yeah... Looking at that on my phone for the past six months I have CONSTANTLY been going back and fourth from "no it can't be" to "oh my gosh it is" and back to "nah a mod would have changed it"

You sir are one of those internet wonders in my book.

Thank you to RDAardvark for his incredible Android Tuner Utility. This has made the game far more enjoyable for me. Thanks also to oppositelock for the Quick Tune calculations used in the app.

Thanks also to lots of others on the site for all sorts of hints and tips over time I have been coming here!

Thanks also to the Mods, who do not get enough credit for all the work they do!

Happy New year!

What!!! android tuner!!!! How did I not know of this?

Alot of people here are very friendly and helpful! I'm new but had lots of good experiences here, very nice community and hope to be a part of it for long ;) gt5 is a very nice game that will hardly bore me anyway XD ... oh, and happy new year everyone!

I forgot to mention you Tenacious D. I feel bad now :(
I slip under the radar a lot. ;) Besides, I completely forgot crowhop, and several hundred others. It's really hard to remember a small phonebook of nicks from anywhere, and so many have contributed to the discussions here. Or done things like the car lists (Famine and others), the tune help as I mentioned, folk like Toronado, Terronium-12 and CSLACR who can get a little cranky but do make you think along the way... there are too many to remember them all. So if your name isn't here, just keep in mind that the crowd of cool peeps is just too big to wrap our tiny minds around. :D We do enjoy those tidbits you post here.

Jordan , StarLight , Outeke , MarcosChelas , MOTORTRENDmitch , turbolefty78 , Ch1potle , JK83 and many more .......... Thank you for all the help

Happy new year

Seems I've gotten a decent number of compliments. Not bad for someone who's least favorite car is loved by everyone else :P

I would love to say there have been a good few mods of course who have done their jobs, people who have done fine jobs at treeing me to answers and plenty who have given us much research. Quite a lot to mention, so to prevent a TL;DR, I'll not bother

All the mods of these forums, you guys know who you are and you rock!
Also, compliments have to go to everyone who's raced with me and put up with my (infrequent) outbursts against another driver. I seem to get too wrapped up in racing at times, especially when I have a decent shot at winning, and don't tolerate idiocy very well. Just ask Mitch! When it's known by everyone that we are just messing about, it's one thing to let loose and act a fool a little now and then, at other times, not so much.
So, thank you Mr. Mitchman for the recent invites, it's great fun racing with you and I look forward to doing it again in the very near future. Now, where did I put those happy pills?:nervous:

Hey GTPlanet, how's it going? I must say, you're looking great today; have you lost weight? I really like your shoes, they go well with that new layout you're sporting. Have you had your hair done? It really suits you! Anyway, must dash, but I really enjoy our time together. I'll see you soon; but not soon enough, I'm sure! ;)

Seriously, there are too many individuals to mention. It's easiest to thank the staff and all underlings for creating and maintaining the framework, and everybody else for using it for interesting, useful and entertaining ends. 👍

Yep, there's another one I forgot. Grif has been a solid contributor in the GT sound threads, in a very good way. When you have hundreds of people getting on here from hour to hour, and contributing to make this place informative, interesting and fun, how can you remember all these guys?

If you are one of those guys, remember that when someone responds to one of your posts with a favorable comment, or just a 👍 or +1. And if you aren't, try to be this year. ;)

Easy. Tenacious D. He undresses alot of the fans of the other rival game (which i won't name) who often pose as longtime suffering GT fans

I just looked at a few threads and can say that RACECAR is another person I'm adding to my list of people that I admire on this site. 👍

I would like to thanks everyone who had welcome me with open arms to GTPlanet and had reply to my post or even read my post I would also like to thank the people that view my profile and that had raced me in GT5 thank for your friendship
