Took the first stage to get used to the R3. If it decides it want's to go for a trip into the bushes it seems almost impossible too stop. Enjoyed the little 3 stage test though.

Does have a one track mind sometimes, a lot of fun though.
 
Guess who decided to slide to the left, right before the jump with the sign at the left side of Nupli, crashing into it and causing terminal damages ? :ouch::ill::lol:

That one doesn't get me. The 5 left over jump with the bale outside gets me EVERY TIME.

They both get me but the mini maze on that one Estonian stage (not sure if it's this one) tends to slow me down the most.
 
I can find the Club in the "Friends Clubs" section. When I click on the club the red join button usually doesn't appear but if I click on a few random clubs and stuff and come back then it will eventually appear. When I click on it, the pop up window with the info about assists/scoring type/etc pops up and I click join again and... nothing happens.

The join button also doesn't appear for other clubs unless I click on random stuff again and come back, but then when it appears it does actually lets me join all the the other clubs I tried. Tried on 2 different devices, both using different browsers. Tried refreshing, signing out and back in, turning off adblock, etc.

I found a thread where someone had a similar issue that had no solution other than "I dunno one day it just started working again."

Any suggestions?
 
Did the whole Pacifico rally in one go last night. It was slippery out there but the lower powered cars were marginally easier to handle than Rally1 or some of the vintage racers.

Not that that stopped me nausing up stage four, of course. This is my biggest moment of shame where I attempted to get back on track after a slip and ended up hitting another tree. My exhaust was never the same after that.

Edit - Frustrating start in Pacifico. Big offs on all 3 of the first stages. Also got stuck in a paddy field between the rows and had to reverse out. Last 2 stages were fairly clean and I managed to close the gap to @Cabelmania but the damage was done.

Decent run for me, marred by a few mistakes early on. Final leg times show I could have been nearer the top, so something to be happy about there for the rest of the season.
 
I had an awful time :lol: Forgot how much I struggle on the Indonesian stages...never done a rally where I've basically rolled on every stage. Ah well.

I'm also having his same issue, don't know if it's an issue with Racenet or something else

Edit: figured it out, club is friends only so I've sent a FR on Racenet to @MagpieRacer

Hm, says the App doesn't work with my device, but can maybe borrow another and try in the next day or two.

I tried through the link, I can never get the red join button to appear from the direct link, I have to go to the clubs section and click on some random clubs until the button appears for one of them, then if I go back to the GT Planet club the button will be there too.

When I can get the red join button to appear I can click on the second join button in the pop up with the assists/etc info and then the window just goes away and nothing happens, where as all of the other ones there is another pop up that says "Congratulations you are now part of _____" after clicking the join button.

I sent RYAN and Magpie requests but only RYAN accepted, but that made it appear on my list. I don't think I specifically have to have the club leader on the friends list though because it lets me join other clubs that RYAN is in, including the Modern Classics one.

Quite frustrating...

I have accepted a number of friend requests today, you should both be able to get on the club now.

Still says "request pending" for you. My account handle thing is Ix_Morbid_xI

Can try to be optimistic but it let me join the Modern Classics one with just RYAN on my list so I don't see why that should be the problem for the regular GTP club.
 
Just done that Indonesia rally, wasn't particularly quick but that sun visor strip is really annoying, any scenery interacting with it, instead of it just being a little bit darker than the window view, everything gets pixelated, it's very disconcerting

Indonesia done. I don't like the stages there. After loosing 45 seconds on the first two stages I adjusted my cockpit cam and was abled to see much better out of the car. Remaining stages were a bit closer to the front (P3 / P4 / P5 mostly) but I had to learn the Fiesta first. "Easy to drive, hard to master" is very true. Next up Spain, another rally I haven't really done before :D
 
Happy with my run, could have been better, attacked the first 2 stages well enough, then was too conservative in the middle stint and had the wrong tyre really to attack the final 2 with any real pace.

Using the softer tyres for 4 stages straight ? Bad choice, too slow on stage 3 and 4 :grumpy: I won't make the same mistake in Greece :P

@RYAN I know the turn, happened the same to me once :lol: I hope you learned the lesson ;)

@UKMikey the one hiding in the bushes, I'm guessing :rolleyes:

Done my run, couple of small mistakes in leg was annoying but didn't really cost me any time. Annoyingly I slid wide on the final stage but thankfully a tree caught me so I only caught a reset penalty and wasn't DSQd so I'll take that.
 
Really enjoyed the run through Iberia, it seems I'm quite partial to tarmac :lol: Weirdly found myself feeling more comfortable on the medium though than the soft, found that slight sense of a little more movement helped with my driving style.

That said...I did manage to throw it at the scenery on exactly the same corner as @RYAN. Although seemingly got away with it a little more lightly without requiring a reset. Was pushing a little bit too hard to try and catch @space_wadet (I had 3 seconds to find). Looking at Racenet I was vaguely on-track to doing that until I flew through the bushes 🤦‍♂️

Enjoyable battle throughout though with some super close stage times!

And just like that, I'm out of the top 5 in a rally for the 1st time ever :ouch: Really regretting my tyre strategy :grumpy:

I can't complain to be honest. I was surprised after the car came to rest It was recoverable. When I've gone flying off sheer edges like that before it tends to be all over most of the time.
