^^Ninja point Spooble. Lap 2 was glaring and would easily be awarded DQ in other leagues.

No one has the right to affect another driver's car while approaching, in or leaving a corner. You should exit a corner on the line you started. You have a right to either the inside line or outside line and thats all. Unless there is driver error...rarely should you have the opportunity to pass (with due racecraft) before a corner's apex.

I won't deny that. I apologize for both of those mistakes. In all honesty, the one where I put all four tires in the grass was because I thought I would have taken diabolic out otherwise. Obviously I should not have been there in the first place, but since I made the mistake of committing, I didn't want to exacerbate it.

If you found it necessary to DQ me for that, I would not put up an argument.

I'm in an awkward position here because I got disconnected and therefore don't have the replays for any of the Round 3 races. However, based on what others have written, I am assuming that you gained position(s) while putting all four tires in the grass? That alone wouldn't be a DQ, but if you didn't give those position(s) back then yes, that would be a DQ for that race. Please clarify if I'm not understanding what happened.

Then yeah it's a DQ. I wasn't attempting to cheat, just trying to avoid further trouble. I'm not trying to excuse my actions, just explain why I did what I did.

Okay, thanks for being upfront about it. More importantly, thanks for admitting to your mistake. Next time, just be sure you give back any positions you gain "inappropriately". Because of the DQ, I will deduct the 9 points you gained from your 1st place finish in the last race. Unfortunately for you, that costs you 3rd place overall for the night and the $999,999 car that you would have received with Prize C. However, I know that having to step off the podium sucks more than losing out on the car. I'll post the modified results shortly.

Yet another action-packed Sunday night! Sorry I missed out on the Division1 drama in Round 3, but I'm definitely glad everyone was able to calmly point out their objections and that we were able to agree on a sensible solution. Here are the results with ckoerner210's DQ in the last race taken into consideration:

Division1 (click here for complete stats)
1st: Diabolicwyvern ------ selected Prize A
2nd: jlbowler ------------ selected Prize B
3rd: spooble ------------- selected Price C
4th: ckoerner210 -------- did not submit a vote
5th: AG07WRXTR -------- voted to eliminate Round 2
6th: rallywgn81 ---------- voted to eliminate Round 2
7th: kcheeb ------------- voted to eliminate Round 2
8th: whatbadgerseat ----- voted to eliminate Round 2
9th: leadbedr ------------ did not submit a vote relegated to Division2
10th: zer05ive ----------- voted to eliminate Round 2 relegated to Division2
11th: SCREAMING_CHIEF - voted to eliminate Round 2 relegated to Division2
DNR: racefan78 ---------- not able to connect to D1 lounge

Division2
1st: dvdoughboy --------- voted to eliminate Round 1 promoted to Division1
2nd: Puddin_Head_ ------- did not submit a vote promoted to Division1
3rd: g-MachineREX ------- voted to eliminate Round 1 promoted to Division1
4th: cmbeal317 ---------- voted to eliminate Round 2
5th: Space_Echo --------- voted to eliminate Round 2
6th: aDirtySpic- ---------- voted to eliminate Round 2
7th: The__Reaper -------- voted to eliminate Round 1
8th: gamualexander ------ voted to eliminate Round 2

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Chevrolet Camaro SS '10 @Fuji Speedway F
Therefore it has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since Diabolicwyvern selected Prize A, he gets to decide which car and track will replace it.

The round that received the second most votes was:
Round 1 - Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) '02 @Road Course - Indy
Therefore, either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since jlbowler selected Prize B, so he gets to decide which is replaced and what replaces it.

spooble got Prize C, so he gets any car he wants (up to $999,999).

This series is helping me improve a lot and I can see others improving too. beal and Puddin_Head were on fire. Congratulations to the victors!

For the first night racing for me plz excuse some of my mistakes. Had some fun racing last night that's for sure though..

Great racing last night guys, wish I hadn't missed the first race, might have got me another position. 5th is a great result though! It seemed to me like everyone really was calm through corner 1 in all our races. Can't believe I botched what I thought was going to be a win in round 3/2 by cutting that last corner too much and getting a speed penalty! Very very fun guys, look forward to the next one.

Bah... I wasn't trying to get anyone docked points. Just pointing out things so that we all can improve.

I'd like to pass Prize C to CK if that's alright. (I really don't need any more cars)

Had a good time last night despite only having around 7/8ths throttle for the last 6 races. Not sure if it was me or not, but there seemed to be a little more jostling than usual.

Bowler and Rally, I haven't had a chance to look at the replay of the last race, yet. I'll have a look tonight, I doubt I was faultless in the whole deal.

Yes, quite a bit of fun. I tell you, it's so hard to go into the random rooms for races now after racing with you all. It's absolute mahem sometimes out there. Even a room that supposedly labeled as "clean" will end up putting you into walls on purpose. Contact still happens with us of course, that's racing, but at least it's not on purpose. I had to play some BF3 to get my aggressions out after playing in some randoms after we were done. LOL So, thanks for last night and the fun.

Take care - Tim

OK, I know I might sound kind of fanatic here but if Tim's name is "wrxsilver" and mine is "ag07WRXtr" and Diabolic drives a silver Subaru Impreza, I have to wonder....... How many of us in the SNAIL league drive Silver WRX's, or a Subaru Impreza in general? So far that makes 3.

lol spooble it's no big deal. next week i will just be sure to watch my entrances to the bus stop more carefully. if we can't count on our fellow racers here to point out mistakes, then who can we count on?

'02 WRX here. Stock except Cobb interface, turbo back exhaust (SPT) and springs and struts. Fun car. I live vicariously through GT5 though as I can't afford to really break anything on my ride. LOL

Haha. I feel like there's some secret silver WRX club that I'm not a part of! :)

My dd is a Mazda 3. My play car is a 91 MR2, though it's been parked for a while. Needs a motor refresh (spun rod bearing). I'm thinking of having a patch job done on it and seeing if it'll last through a few autox sessions this summer.

Cheeb, the corner leading up, you and bowler were like magnets, it was like you two kept getting pulled into each other, when I get home tonight, I'll camera the replay and post it up on youtube, the whole ordeal through that set of corners didnt look to dramatic, until the right hander onto that little straight, where bowler got you sideways. Like I said, it was just one of those incidents. Bowler even got off, and took last place waiting for you to get back on track, so everyone did the right thing in the situation. Its actually a good example of what to do when things get mucked up. Wish the replays would play back the mic chatter though.
On that point, I would like to say, before you go getting mad and calling people out, watch the replay first, guy behind you may take you out, but you dont know what happened to him, I know I've been punted into people before. Unless its just you and just one person out on the straight and that person turns into you, effectively pulling the PIT, or some such ex. dont assume the person that got you was in the complete wrong until you, and others, can view the incident.

Spooble, just use some of your coupons for the motor refresh.....oh wait.....

I'm dreading my clutch costs coming up. I still have the original and it has 140K on it. My rex is at the age where annoying things start to go wrong too. Hoses, etc. It's okay, I ask it to give me 200-300 miles a week, so I expect some repair bills every year. Still better then a car payment in my world.

D1 was great too, had some heat!
After watching the replay, I stake no claim to your issue bowler, cheeb and you had contact, that put you out of the line, I came in but had to get over a bit to keep off cheebs line, and touched you, we came off, I slowed and let you take the corner, and you got into cheebs right rear, bringing him around. I didn't touch you until after you both had stopped up in the middle of the track.

You need to watch it again. Cheeb and I went through the gentle left hander side by side. You pulled up behind Cheeb and then darted to the your right and pushed me into the grass (on a straight). I collected my car and tried to negotiate the next turn with grass on my tires and coming in from the wrong angle and I spun Cheeb on exit. There is no reason for you to move into another car on a straight. If there isn't anywhere to go you have to either lift or brake. You pulled the same kind of moves at Indy and Fuji.

I just recently sold my 96 Impreza wagon. Looking at getting rid of my jeep and getting either another impreza wagon, legacy GT coupe, or a Merkur XR4Ti.

Yes, quite a bit of fun. I tell you, it's so hard to go into the random rooms for races now after racing with you all.

I hear ya. I still enjoy going to drift rooms though, and if i can find a good racer or two, running the ring or Toscana made courses. And I hit up shuffle races too, but more and more, even the shuffles are getting ehhh.

I was on the brakes and so was cheeb, which is why I moved to the right, but you at that point had already bumped off cheeb and slid back some, but your guys contact had slowed down your cars and broke into my brake zone too, I didnt just dart up there. I wont say I wasnt having braking issues, it seemed that my braking points would shift, and sometimes I would make a corner fine, sometimes I would over shoot some, and sometimes I would be going to slow, all of the same brake point. But I dont remember whipping people out,, and, like you, anytime I did bump someone, I gave the position, usually falling back. But your not nearly innocent. As i can recall a few other races having you, and a couple of others, cutting into other peoples apexs under braking. Im pretty sure it was said with a video posted discussing just this scenario, and to avoid doing it.
I dont want this turning into a he said she said pissing match though, what happened happened, and its done, lets just learn from our mistakes and have a great race next time.

As a matter of fact, I'll even go so far to say that cheeb was probably the only innocent in the incident, and hes the one that got spun.

Definitely felt a bit chippy out there but I think outed more of an unfamiliarity with the chilblains than just poor racecraft most of the time. Not sure of my selection yet, but rest sure it will have less pp than the Spirit RX-7.

@rally- not sure if you were pushed and I didn't save the replays, but on two occasions you ghosted through several cars in the brake zone heading into the kink on fuji. It may have been a chain reaction but those moments stuck out to me.

lastly..and I'm speaking to no one in particular so please don't read far into, but if you cause someone a position or pass in a way not appropriate, please give it back. You may have to let many other drivers go, but until the driver you affected is back ahead of you, you shouldn't be on your way. Its not take a penny leave a penny...you should be waiting for the the driver you affected and not just the next one in line.

Never mind. I will not say anymore on this issue. The replays do speak for themselves and I know what to expect from certain individuals. Live and learn, right?
