  • EU: Tuesdays @ 20:00 GMT / 3:00 PM Eastern / 12:00 PM Pacific
  • Pre-Race: The lounge is open for pre-race practice appx 1 hour prior to the official start of each event

Course & Car Settings

  • Track: London Reverse and London Forward

  • Tires: Sports Medium (S2's) Front, Sports Hard (S1's) Rear
  • In Event Tuning Settings: R/A functions only
  • Example Tunes: N/A

Qualification Procedures

  • Type: Pre-arranged - Time Trial Based Offline Qualifying (WRS)
  • Notes: Grid will be set based on the official submitted time for the offline WRS time trial. Any drivers who do not submit will start in the back of the grid with the order between them based on their current registry handicap.

Event Settings

  • Game Mode: Normal Race
  • Laps: 16 on London Reverse, 16 on London Forward, 16 on London Reverse (~20 mins per race)
  • Start Type: Grid Start
  • Grid Order: Fastest First for initial race then Reverse Grid for subsequent races

  • Weight: 1210 kg (Stock)
  • Tire Restrictions: See above
  • Skid Recovery Force Aid | Active Steering | ASM: Disabled
  • TCS | Driving Line: Optional

Points System

  • Scoring: In each of the three sprint race a driver earns 1 point for each finishing position. So if a driver finishes first he get points equal to the number of drivers that started that sprint race. Finishing last earns you 1 point. DC'd racers count as a finishing driver as long as they start the race.
  • Ties: The first tie breaker is # of wins. The 2nd tie breaker is # of 2nd places. The 3rd tie breaker is # of podiums. The last tie breaker is the finishing position in the first sprint race.

Standard Clean OLR Rules Apply:

  • Unless otherwise specified, all rules from the original WRS event apply.
  • All Hard Surfaces are considered Track Surface. This includes tarmac, red and white rumbles, and concrete. You are expected to drive clean at all times as if you are racing in the WRS. All participants are required to follow the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules & Guidelines.
  • 3D3 Race Stewards (who are taking part in race, but will review the replay) reserve the right to boot or invalidate the result of any driver from the Race Room for driving offensively. If you ignore any warnings from the stewards and are booted from the race room, you will not be allowed to participate in future 3D3 events.
  • 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • Runoff areas are not part of the track
  • Limit your contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules
  • Passing and Blocking: Aggressive blocking is not permitted, but the driver in front has the right to choose his/her line and braking point and drivers behind should respect that line. Be especially careful when you are on older tires than the competition as the speed difference may be significant. These events are "for fun" so just play nice and take a conservative rather than an aggressive approach when possible.

Good Luck, OLR Team:gtplanet:

In the event of a field of 13-16 drivers we will disable mics.
With 17+ drivers we will split into two grids. Split determined by TBD.

(table will auto update approximately every 30 minutes)

Registration Instructions

The following must be performed by every driver for every event:
  • Click the registration button above, fill-in and submit the online registration form (use your GTP_ tag ID)
  • Leave a quick note in this thread to let us know you've registered and any other comments.
The following must be performed only one time per driver (not per event):
  • Send a PSN friend request to GTP_3D3Racing, GTP_3D3_A and GTP_3D3_B from your GTP_tag ID.
  • Submit the 3D3 Racing Online Driver Database Entry Form. Your information will need to be verified before you are added to the db and before your ID will appear in the registered driver table above. You can view the official driver database here.

There is a 32 car/driver limit for this event (per region) and slots are awarded on the grid using a first come first serve basis. Reference the registered drivers table above for availability. This is a stand alone race and points are not tallied for a series. Future WRS-Online races hosted by 3D3 racing may have different driver limits and will require re-registration using the same first come first serve basis and participation in future events is optional.

Registration Changes

If you want to change your time slot, add a time slot or update your color choices just click on the registration link and fill out the form again and submit with new values. Your last entry will override any previous entries.

Cancellations

If for some reason, after you register for the event, you are unable to attend the race please post in this thread so we can update the registration list and make the spot available to another driver. Also click the registration button above and complete the form again selecting only "cancel" as your time slot.

Eligibility

This WRS-Online event hosted by 3D3 Racing is open to GTP_Registered members only. If you are not currently on the registry run the GTP_Registry qualifier and join now!

Aww, fooey! I signed up for NA, but I was just informed that we have a school function that night. Cancelling. :ouch:

Reverse-Forward Grid, Forward-Reverse Grid, Reverse-Reverse Grid :D Sounds Fun I'm in.

 Didn't think of it that way. Should have called it "RFFRRR is my new BFF"

Looks like someone has had their fun with the pics above. Nice gif! 👍

^^Thanks......Well I had to figure out a way to show forward and reverse in the same pic :D
It's safe to say I may never do that again. "You know what would be cool....." - turned into 🤬 hours work :(.
At least I know how to do it faster now.

So far I see the Stig, the 3D3 flag flying high, a Canadian fan, and what I presume is the Canadian embassy in London?

And that reverse/forward thing 👍:drool::crazy::bowdown::cheers:

Ha! close, but you've missed a few ;)

The 'Embassy' is actually "Canada House". It really does have a flag like that so I was just fixing PD's obvious (and borderline offensive) error :sly:. The Quebec flag is actually visible too, but I didn't add that.
My apologies to Pekka, the (Canadian fan) Flag was originally Finnish.... In London, England :odd:

WRS, GTP and GT symbols on S/F line,Hockey Canada logo.. that's all I see.

Wouldn't be surprised if Waldo's in there somewhere too

You know there is always a 3D3 somewhere.

No, no Waldo (that's what the Stig is for), but you have missed one. A very Canadian one ;)

Ice Hockey statue/billboard thing ?

👍 Replaced a statue of a lion or something....

I can't believe you caught the Hockey Canada Logo, but missed the Hockey Hall of Fame statue right above it

I think it looks great in Trafalgar Square - I'm writing the embassy tomorrow to demand the change!

Didn't take a close look at what the statue was, assumed it was there from before.

I also walk by it 5 times a week :dunce:

My first GTP race!!
Exciting stuff :)
It says I must send friend requests to the 3D3 guys with subject of 3D3 Racing but it is impossible to change the subject in a friend request. Am I just supposed to put it in the body of the message instead?

Sure, put it in the body, and send FR's to GTP_3D3Racing, GTP_3D3_A and GTP_3D3_B. 👍 One of us should accept it in the next few hours.

Don't worry about the title... I'll look for it and accept it when it arrives. I'll change the instructions to say "body" of message.

However, don't forget step #2 in GTP WRS-Online : Comprehensive Guide which is to fill out the 3D3 Racing Online Driver Database Entry Form.

Ok, all done.
Thanks for the speedy response!
See you all on the track :dopey:

I processed your database entry and your name should show up in the driver registration image on the next refresh. 👍 Plus now that you are in the database, it's automatic moving forward.

Don't forget to check out the special enduro we are running at the end of the month! Official thread to be released soon, but info here.

Hey dude, I just put it in the body and it worked fine. Hope to see you out there as I just registered for my first race with the guys.

You are on all of the PSN FR lists now as well T-L (Mark?).

Welcome to the series 👍

Total n00b question: how do I get to the GTP_3D3Racing lounge? I'm trying to show up for practice, but apparently need practice just finding the room.

Edit: nevermind, found it. But why am I the only one here? It's Monday 8:00 Eastern. I'm still missing something...

Go to the "Community" section while in GT Mode, and select GTP_3D3 Racing from your list of friended drivers.
Then just click on the Lobby (coffe mug) and 'join' when the pop-up ... pops up.

It might be empty at the moment, but feel free to run there. I will be in for a few laps shortly, and others may join as well. 👍

EDIT: I'm in ther now with Steve (sjstuart) running laps now.
Come on and join us for a bit 👍

What kind of lap times did you guys run? I'm at 1'02.800 in reverse and I'm about to try some laps on the forward version of the track. Didn't run a single lap offline so I'm behind the 8-ball this week. Will be in the lounge for a short time trying to get up to speed.
