It's go time! See you guys in the D2 lounge!

Damn! I missed a great night. "Build the basement" has proceeded into insulation and drywall territory, so everything is piled up in the middle away from the walls...which means no PS3 set up :(

Hopefully GT500 goes off well, and you do another one!

Sorry I've been absent this week. I've updated the first and second posts.

Something I've been debating is how to sort of carry over from the previous week, and if anything carried over would be worthwhile. And a couple of others have made similar comments, so I'm wondering if this makes sense...

Last week we had 8 drivers finish all five races. So, what if for this week, these drivers start the first race:

  • Nic-KL - 495
  • Oshawa-Joe - 495
  • kcheeb - 495
  • zer05ive - 500
  • Vol_Jbolaz - 500
  • leadbedr - 505
  • tezgm99 - 505
  • GlennGolfer1 - 510

What do people think? Think it will make a difference? Think it is worth trying?

Something else, on the leaderboard there is a sheet titled 'Parity Modulation'. It is how I adjust the points depending on the number of drivers that finished the race and the final position of each driver.

I've been wondering if I should adjust that, and if so, how?

I only didn't finish the last race; you should start me at 495 as well.

I think this is worth trying, seems like we have closer races more towards the end of the night. This could make that happen earlier.

The only thing that I can come up with is to increase the range of adjustment and have the top finishers go down two levels and more of the lower finishers go up two levels. I don't think this would work with a small field though.

I'm going to try to be there tonight if the heat/humidity here in PHL breaks like it is supposed to.

Parity F2007 race next Tuesday, vote yea or no. I could provide 24 tickets if needed.

👎 I can't see a situation where that would work with this group. It would be a crash-tastrope.

How about with RS tires? Any D3 guys ok with trying out the F2007? I do have another car in mind.

I think the field will be much more spread out with a car like that. I've always maintained that with very weak and very powerful cars, driver ability matters much more. So, I vote no, but I'm willing to try it.

I recommend the FGT since it is easier to get (I think I already have one, since it does show up in the OD regularly). I don't have either of the Ferrari's and I don't have that much cash at the moment. You can also only send one ticket a day. Though... we could do like bit torrent. You send one on day one. You and the receiver send one each on day two. And it snow balls.

Still, could be a problem trying to get everyone to open a ticket and reload it enough times to actually get the right car. Though, there are only three Level 24 cars.

I'LL send you a lvl 24 ticket. and you will get a Ferrari in no time!
also i'm in D3 and Prefer RH on the F1's

Reminder, next Tuesday will be the F2007. If you need a Level 24 ticket, please let us know.

Next Tuesday will be a big experiment.

Speaking of experiments, if you are interested, please look at my July project (link in sig).

Please let me know if you need a lvl 24 ticket. I can send out 2 today. 1 before and 1 after reset.

I can send out one, too.

We'll be doing 6 levels, I'm guessing 10 PP each, and on faster F1 type tracks, starting with a little round at Daytona, to get everyone used to things.

I had a quick look at the pp levels and did a quick test at Indy Speedway. I recommend max pp to be 870pp in case someone doesn't get a chance to break in their F2007 as it can't be done in B spec. There is about 5 seconds difference at Indy Speedway between 830PP and 870PP. If we leave some of the ovals for last it will guys new to the F2007 a chance to get some fun victories. The obvious tracks for the end would be High Speed Ring, Daytona Speedway, Indy Speedway.

This sounds fun. I haven't gotten to use my F2007 in a race yet so I'll drop in for the fun.

This is in an online lobby? Is it ok to invite some friends in order to make up numbers?

It is usually in the SNAIL_Division2 lounge.

Anyone who wants to race with us tonight can send a friend request to SNAIL_Division2. I'll accept all FR's sometime before 10pm Eastern so that everyone will have access to the Division 2 lounge in time for the races. 👍

I'm not racing tonight. The F2007 is not my cup of tea. However, I will be there next week. Nic is allowing me to choose the theme, so I'll have that for y'all tomorrow!

I have a family get together tonight, which I was unaware of. I won't be able to race tonight :( Was looking forward to it too.

Will be looking forward to next week.

Ok, so not tomorrow, but three days later! Here's what I'm thinking:

Volvo C30 R-Design '09

versus

Megane Renault Sport '08

Tsukuba
Rome Reverse
Circuito De Madrid
Grand Valley East Reverse
Special Stage Route 5

I hope you get your PS3 working. Fortunately for me, I had warranty on mine, so Best Buy swapped it out. It did take five business days, though.

The C30 versus the Megane sounds like huge fun.

This sounds pretty sweet as usual, but there's no way I can miss Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Have fun guys!

My gaming schedule has changed again Vol, GT5 Tuesdays don't work for me for the next month :(
