I think I have it down to two cars... and they're very slow :dopey:. One handles better but one is quicker in acceleration....

Oh, and I may regret this, but put me down (tentative ) as a tester :scared:

Cool Adam 👍 i put you as a terster for Group B as you might enter Group A car .:dopey:

I didn't even know what the Lantis was untill i saw this post, so naturally i had to give it a go useing the tune in your garage, WOW what a great handling car i loved every minute i spent driving it, a job well done on the tune:tup:

That's how I felt with it too, pretty much. At first I only bought it for the looks, as well as the 2.0 V6. Then I saw the silly wing options as well, went up and tuned it and the result was a masterpiece. It's really damn good overall. At least when tuned highly enough.

Just to clarify, we need two final gear settings for the two tracks, right? If so, my tune might well be ready...but I will need some extra testing first. Because I can only believe the fastest setup I got before was a freak lap, because it's actually not that great to drive at present.

I'll take the Nissan R30 spot, mate. 👍 I'm looking forward to seeing how CZ's Lantis does. Can I tune the 2000GT-Rs as well? :D

I am too, once I've done the extra actual touches to it.

Thing is, everything else is an RWD, with one 4WD in the mix, which has been tuned already by the top tuner in the business. My Lantis is FWD so in that regard it is at a disadvantage. I have pointed out in the past though: it's not like the Lantis is an ordinary FF exactly...

Do us Lantis lovers proud C-ZETA!

I think my Lantis might well be sorted by now.

The two issues that were bugging me before, were the LSD and brake balance settings. LSD I definitely have now, brake balance I need to just a few more tests to see which is best. But there's only like two options I'm considering now on that regard, so once that's all done, the Lantis is done.

I thought that you just asking about the tires and I didn't think of that you will be sign up as a tuner any way thank you Mr Grado 👍 I will link it later when I'm not on phone .

I would like to tune the Honda S2000. I caught a cold and will only have Friday and Saturday night to tune. I would rather tune a car that I am more familiar with.

Ouch..!! Is that what you need to do to an S2000 to get it to fit 450PP..?? Maybe this explains why the only car I couldn't beat online yesterday was the damned Toyota..!! My decrepit old motor is the better part of 500kg lighter. How fast is this down Mulsanne? Not that I'm looking to content there, that honour will no doubt fall to the Toyotas...

{Cy}

No…that's what you need to do to an S2000 if you want to use as much power as you can within 450PP. :P

Indeed, I see that Mr Grado has a gob more power than Tronrider does ... I've been guilty of doing the same on numerous occasions, throwing a few dead bodies in the trunk allows you to add a bunch of extra beans under the hood...

Not sure if it just my car or holds true for more of them, but found the difference in top speed between higher HP and weight VS fully lightened and reduced HP to be negligible. My much lighter car is also slightly quicker in acceleration tests on the speed test track. Think the results are mostly due to the way the game calculates PP on a curve with all the various factors, weight, HP and torque influencing the final PP. Striking a perfect balance between the three is one of the hardest things to accomplish. Of course that's just in regards to straight line acceleration and top speed and doesn't account for how weight and its distribution can affect the handling...

I agree, the difference is likely to be negligble, although it does require adequate managment of the weight. I'll go out on a limb, without having driven either car and say that the heavier car will do better at La Sarthe and visa versa. Within small margins, that is.

Still curious to know what the S2000 are pulling along Muslanne, I top out around 164-165mph and that's it

Can I ask what times people are getting at the two tracks?

For me it's 2:11.xxx at GV, and... I forgot, but it felt like 30:12.654 :dopey:

30:12.654 ??????
I think you take the wrong way, or an open escape barrier, and you're on your way to Paris.:):scared: or the other way to the ocean...:)

Somewhere on this line.

I think is the first time 2:11.xxx 👍 my time on my 450pp is 2:10.xxx and maybe I can brake it down to 2:09.xxx I hope .

I think I am going light weight so it will be a nice mix of the S2000s. My S2000 toped out at 160mph at LaSarthe and almost the same lap time. The Toyota can hit 180mph. This is supposed to be fun, right? I caught a cold so with my head stuffed full of snot, the Toyota was just beginning to annoy me so I was having more fun with the Honda.

Besides, Toyota is my least favorite car company on the planet. They are doing everything they can to "look" American, but only here in America. I think it annoys me more that we, the American public fall for it. A year ago people were worried that their Toyota could hang the throttle wide open and kill them. Last month, Toyota sales up 45%.

I'm going to try tuning again :scared:. The S2000 list is full, correct? And is the '83 Nissan turbo allowed or just the '84?

Both of them mate allowed 83 and 84 👍

I can't remember what times I was posting at La Sarthe yesterday, but at GVS I posted a handful of 2:09s in free run and 2:10s under race conditions (on draft-free laps). I think anywhere between 2:09-2:12 is decent enough. All 450PP 👍

160mph?? I might just be able to hang with the S2000s then. I've seen the Toyota run a few mph faster than that without draft. If someone makes one that's a pleasure to drive, we're all in trouble. I've gone along similar lines to yourself, opting for the old GT-R. It looks great, sounds great and goes pretty well. Plus I had to choose before my wife saw the adorable Fairlady and insisted that I use it instead of the GT-R..!!
