Hey guys, thx Mr Hat for letting me have a go at the BMW with Mr Chance, I didn't want to cause any drama's always changing cars, but if it's no drama then thanx very much, couldn't get to practise last night due to family dramas but i'll be on this arvo till late if anyone is keen. I'll clear some friends (old) so that I can add some of the guys in the race gt5 name: fewzo.

No problem guys. Next week is round 1 so lets hope all can attend. Just remember, you don't have to qualify but I want to race start at 9pm as I don't want the night to drag out too long. Even if you miss the first race start, you could make the second, third, etc if a round has more races.

Edit: I think its funny how nochance called me Mr Hat and now everyone is doing it lol

That would be perfect. If you 2 could add all competitors as friends so they are able to join if you are running the room in the event that I am late that would be awesome also.
 
NOTES FOR ROUND 1 @ FUJI

Fuji has a lot of run off areas of AstroTurf & tarmac. You should refrain from using these areas purposefully to try and gain time.

If another driver sees you doing this he can report you and I will investigate whether it was a one time mistake or blatant cheating.

Fuji also has a very long straight which means lots of slip-streaming. Due to the possibility of lag, no blocking moves are permitted. Also please refrain from dangerous dive-bombing into the first corner.

If I decide to penalize you, it will be within 2 days of the race. You will have 1 day to respond if you feel the penalty is not justified and may respond with your version of events.

wikipedia "A 235 hp (175 kW) aluminum 3.4 L V8 engine with heads from Yamaha and block from Cosworth was specified for the SHO model"

I thought it was a V8?

Edit: Ok I checked. You are almost right. It does mention V6, but, It says V6 originally, then it mentions 1989. Then it says it changed to a V8 from 1996 and back to a V6 in 1999 but in a different model.

The actual car included is the 1998 model which according to the description, means it is a V8.

In all seriousness, if you think you found a car that fits that I have omitted, let me know. It can be added during the season for newcomers or next season.

On another note, I am really excited about Sunday. Practices have shown everyone to be fairly close so it should come down to who is most clean/consistent and who can stay out of trouble and apply strategy the best.

Ha sure that will work in the short run. Until the flood of messages from players to myself resulting in multiple penalties if not DQ for yourself lol

But at least you could be a champion for a day!

lol ok, corrected. Thanks for trying, when I made the carlist for this series, I went through the full GT5 carlist and filtered to just normal road cars.

Then I removed anything I knew to not be a 4-door sedan. Next I filtered out anything other than FF or FR.

Then I checked the whole list's cylinder count. Then I filtered for less than V8. Then I came up with power and weight restrictions and the list in post #1 was born lol.

Would you say that the Alfa 156 is like the RX-8? since it is 4-door with the rear suicides. Still its not obviously 4-door so I will choose to omit it.

I did some wiki reading and from the pics there it does look like a 4-door since you can clearly see the outline of the rear door, although it has no door handles.

In GT5 it is hard to see an outline for the rear doors. I will update the carlist to include it. Thanks for proving me wrong Slatz! lol the moral is never give up, especially if you are right!
 
the door handle is hidden on this car to get the shape of an coupe when you look at it from the side.

i´m sure nobody will take the 156 here... but hey, you never know! ;D
