Well done chance. Great driving displayed by you today. Clearly faster and very consistent. Well done. Another great drive was by manoc. He got smashed on the first lap and had to come to a complete stop as a few drivers decided that he was the barrier and was bouncing off him all over the place.
Hopefully autech91 joins the next series. He's quite quick and a good clean racer.
First stint was great!
Thanks VH, really enjoyed our battle, something eventually had to give and it was me getting frisky on the throttleEven though we were swapping positions every lap we were still lapping 1:08s most of the time, good clean racing.
When is next race? I'll try and make a few of the races, hopefully show no-chance how its done![]()
Don't worry auts Vh has been showing us how it's done. Just got lucky. Last race of the camaros is same time Sunday Monaco I think one of your favorite tracks. The Sunday after we start the new season in the Nissan Silva s15 rm no tune again. Full details are under the ncr racing league. Had to change the name.
Monaco is my favourite track indeed. I think Fewzo once banned me from voting for it lol. That was back when a lot of people struggled with it, I don't dominate there anymore though. The trick to Monaco is the back section after the tunnel, you have to link the corners, run off line at all and you're in the wall for the next few corners.
That settles it I'll have to race (the Mrs will have to do something else for an hour). Monaco is quite hard on tyres, will be an interesting race!
Dearest Archie,Hey Kid,
wheny you get some time grab a couple of books on motor sport racing rules you will be amazed at what you don't know.
Here are some basics to get you started...
You must establish substantial overlap with the car ahead before they reach the corners turn-in point to have the right to drive up their inside, or to expect them to leave inside room for you. At least the front of your car should be up to the drivers position in the ahead car. The ahead driver has the right to be fully committed to the racing line of their choice without any interference if there was no substantial overlap before he turned in.
If sufficient overlap is established before the turn-in point, then the behind driver has the right to sufficient side room. The ahead driver must also leave sufficient side room for the behind driver. This means that each driver has a right to their respective "line", or side of the track, right up to the exit point. Neither driver should squeeze the other toward the inside or outside of the corner during the apex or exit.
Hope this will help you with your future races so you don't think other opponents are trying to bullie you .
Regards Archie
Why thank you dearest frutti, I wouldn't be here if it weren't for my sponsors, so thanks Durex...
On a lighter note got excited and took the SS out for 5 laps on hard at Monaco, best of that run was 1:35.756.
well done chance you have been getting faster all season next week will be very interesting between vh and you, good luck to both of you. thanks vh it was a tough day at the office lol but thats racein. hey steward a purple blur punted me at pace this man needs to be delt with lol.
Dearest Archie,
''hey kid'' theicon ,CAPITAL LETTERS to make a point and plagirizing information directly from the internet...i got you worked out Archie.Every thing written above is im sure very true and makes you look extremely well versed and oh so
at the top of your game! But the one thing you are not willing to concede is that both times(lap 1 or 2 and lap 46)i was in front and on the inside, so the above is as irrelevant as your argument, plain and simple.Sometimes mate common sense works better than whats written in the texts. Also "the kid" thing is slightly amusing,me being 47 with two school kids my own business a mortgage and married to a hotel publican. I say ''slightly'' only because your below average attempt at sarcasm and woeful patronizing tone was not really very enlightening. Unless chance and rage ask me to apologise because i was deemed to be in the wrong this will be my last comment on the subject with you, i will not hijack this post.
Indeed kindest Regards Craig[/QUOT
BLAH,BLAH
NFI...
Here's one for you Sherlock Frutti..
Why don't you invest some time and money and spend some time on a real race circuit in any class of race car, as this will give you a much better understanding of race lines and racing etiquette.
In order to do this you will need to get a CAMS license, and you will be assed on your basic race etiquette and race regulation knowledge and racing skills.
Only then you will have some sort of an idea on how reckless your move was by trying to overtake me on the inside while approaching a high speed turn.
I was the leading car prior to the high speed turn and committed to my race line of choice.Just because you drove by my side did not give you the right of way.If all car racing classes had your mentality we would have no motor sport because no motor sport fan wants to watch a destruction derby.
I have held a CAMS licence off and on over the last 10 years and have some sort of knowledge of what is deemed a reckless move and your one bud was a suicidal one.
On the life achievements segment .Well I'm 10 years your junior and I have 5 teenage kids and we all have been there and done that bud,it would most defiantly take me more than two sentences to write my life achievements.
PS I'm married to the prime minister.
Your Sweet heart Archie xxx![]()
As we approach the last round would like to take this opportunity to thank you for competing in the no tune league and making it a great series. I have many battles with most of you and it bas always been clean and fair and can only hope I have shown you the same courtesy you have shown me. A big thank you to rager who has been a great help and could not have run the series without him. There has been many highlights along the the way. Vh with pure outright speed and consistanty. Manoc and emu for getting quicker and more consistent with every round. And some of the battles with drivers along the way. Dam you Sid fewzo and Luke lol. But the two that stick out most might have gone unnoticed to most of you but meant the most to me. 1 rager at spa even though he has struggled to handle the camaro he has never given up. At spa he emerged from the pits a lap down and behind the lead group. Rather then throwing in the towel, he challenged himself to keep up and for 10 laps he did, then after Sid ran out of fuel, rather then driving by and taking his place off him he pushed Sid back to the pits. A great show of both sportsmanship and mateship. 2 frutti at Rome an hour
Before the race started, he keep dropping out in my lounge, hence the change to emu. This still didn't fix the problem. Even after dropping out six times and again during the hotlaps every time he would try again.most of us would have giving up. His desire to compete with his mate's keeped bringing him back. This series was designed to test you, not so much as to see how quick you were so Thankyou all for coming each week and is great to hang out with like minded mates every Sunday. Good luck at Monaco to you all except Vh lol see you there
ahh nice words captain chance and thankyou, it would have been poor form not to have put an effort in to race mate. You and rager have done a fantastic job organizing a great series that i look forward to every sundays. Now to be fair guys i do have an admission..............here it is............ok..before i was an astronaut i was a gigolo in monte carlo, so will have quite the advantage this sunday...so there it is,its out..look forward to catching you all this weekend, cheers frutti
At the end of the day, in a 50 lap race you don't have to go at it like a 5 lapper, for a demo of how it's done properly, look at the replay of me vs VH from about lap 26 onwards. We swapped spots lap in lap out, no contact, I at one stage bumped him, so sat back and let him through. Good CLEAN racing.
Now for the part some of you have been waiting for. The stewards report
As vend has been so kind to inform us of his cams licence and superior real life skill, I will do the debriefing as professional as I can
1 incident manoc v rager judging buy the posts this has been taken care of
2 frutti v vend lap 2 frutti in front vend at fault failed to give way
3 frutti v vend lap45 vend screwed up entry onto straight frutti drafted level on inside both cars level at braking point vend failed to give way
4 vend turn 1 lap 1 autech on inside line chance outside line leaving for autech vend tried to drive through middle bouncing of autech into chance vend at fault
5 vend turn 5 lap 1 vend changes line erratically into braking area running rager wide vend at fault
6 last turn lap 1 vend pushes on the inside of chance squeezing him into wall where his car comes to a complete stop while vend drives away
Now while I could sit here all night doing this I could not be bothered. Simple fact is vend you claim to know about driving standards and rules but they only seem to apply to those around you and not yourself. There are three types of people in this world and they are passive, assertive and aggressive, and your behaviour has you in the last category. Every race you seem to be pushing, or whinging and complaining about something. If you have had real world driving experience you would know that cars run on fuel and you would put some in before running out. I have tried to be fair with you but you seem to know better than the rest of us.I have invited you to practice sessions offered advice but you know better. also if you do have a cams licence you would have attended the stewards breifing before a race. I do this in the form of notes before every race and you were told the rules for turn 6, all other rules you broke on page 1 of this thread,So here is some advice for you
Next time your down at the track with your real world buddies, please be sure to remind them of how a truck driver, printer and sheet metal worker kicked your butt on a regular basis, and after reading this whenyou climb into your cott, throw your toys out and pull the blanky over your head, give yourself and uppercut pull your head in and remind yourself. IT'S ONLY A GOD DAM GAME
Net penalty you are removed from this series and all future onesx
LOL !
Exactly what I expected from a BOGAN...
Yes! you are such a skilled and fast driver you beat me hands down in your NO TUNE,ONE LAP QUALIFING racing competition lol where you have to compete against kids to make your self look half decent on a race circuit.I joined this competition to race with mik as we have a very good and clean race history.
I had no idea that a BOGAN like you would be running the comp.
It was no surprise when I saw your little post on the ACS forum winging about how you and your buddies could not keep up in the championship because you did not know how to tune a race car.
The answer to that one is very simple.. you just don't have the speed, skill & intelligence to tune a race car and be competitive in a simulation race car.
Stick to driving your road line hauls bud the speed is much more suitable for a BOGAN of your caliber
PS Enjoy racing your new BOY RACER NISSAN lol
