left the room in skeng and simon's hands.

pretty sure when I Q tomorrow I should be able to do a mid-57 barring any terrible eff up.
my guess is that 57.* is good for D1

Left room with Dom and maxking.

I have not raced on Suzuka for ages, there are so many little bumps and kinks I have to relearn, and just relearn how to stay on track :nervous:.

But I did a pb of 57.511, on a first flyer no less.

171 litres might be about enough for the SC. I did 50 laps on 164 litres, but then in real race I might use a bit more - no sunday driving there :mischievous:.

Maxking: 1:57.091

I have to watch it because I missed a couple corners but I have no reason to believe dirty. Going to the store atm, I'll watch the replay when I return.

I see a 58 in me somewhere. I gained about half a second just by remembering to raise my FFB back from 1 to 4.

FYI, I won't be around much tomorrow, so if someone needs me as a steward, I can watch tonight, and possibly in the morning.

This next new rule is a biggie. We're implementing it late in JGTS 2 but it's mostly to ensure we get a great start to our final race and to also act as a proof of concept (although I hope we won't need to exercise it) for its continued use in other Pure series as well as the upcoming JGTS 3.

I need every one to sign a roll call sheet that they've read this very important rule update. I will make another post so every one can copy and paste that they've read and understood the new regulation. I want all registered Pure members to sign this, so even if you're not racing this weekend. Thanks!
Regulation update:
Race restart flaggers -
We will designate 3 marshals in each division after qualifying's completed. These marshals will act as our "eyes on the ground" to look for incidents during the first lap and can waive off the start for a 2nd rolling lap in case the initial race start goes badly due to contact, lag, glitches, etc.
If there aren't 3 marshals in a division we will appoint regular members temporary marshal status in order to be able to carry out the same orders if need be. In order to "waive" a start, only one of the appointed marshals needs to type in text chat, " restart," and the field must slow and regroup as soon as possible. This will effectively be the same as a track-side marshal waving a yellow flag. The flag marshals or race host may also use this time in order to type out further direction to the room if needed.

The "restart" will give people repair time, no re-gridding (getting back in qualifying order), we will only give drivers time in order to catch up to the back and start from wherever the pit released them, no waiting. This also means no racing once you are released from the pits, you must stay in the order you were released or face penalty.

A second pace lap will commence in order for there to be enough time for necessary pit stops and to regroup with the pack. Drivers can drive at full speed down the straights in order to catch back up to the field but, again, can not race each other, so slow down in the corners in order to prevent more incidents especially if other drivers that pitted are also making their way back up into the race. Drivers caught in incidents will still be 'affected' by the crash but not thrown out of the race entirely as before. The race may be restarted in this fashion up to two times, in other words, the race must be started by lap 5 at the latest after which the race will continue regardless of incident.

The race will be restarted at the regular point, if all drivers have not yet caught back up to the race pack then the pole sitter must either slow or park before the last turn leading onto the start straight in order to ensure all drivers are regrouped afterwhich the racing may commence.

Flag marshals will be appointed from our staff of officials depending on starting position.
In a sixteen car grid, p3-5, p8-11, and p-13-16 should be good enough to spot major lap one issues and "wave" the yellow flag.

For smaller grids we can use one in the middle grid and one out in back

The flag marshals will be well documented when the room #'s and grid orders are posted before the race and a provisional list of flag marshals will be announced directly after qualifying deadline. "FM's" will also be designated in lobbies before races when we call out the pole side so everyone knows who can call the race and we all stick by the call 100%, no second guesses. If we give people the call it's their call and they have to be smart about it.

Penalty updates:

Infraction points: Round 5: Nurburgring GP/F

Offender: Sail IC
Infraction: Cutting the track boundaries repeatedly, going wide and not lifting. The cuts occured through the turn 14 chicane and there's a clear crossing of the boundaries on laps 30 and 31 in turn 4.
IP: 20 + 5 (added warning; further significant cuts will possibly lead to a DQ)

Infraction points: Round 6: Spa Francorchamps

Offender: Litchi
Infraction: Causing avoidable damage in Turn 1 of Lap 1.
IP: 60

Offender: SkengD
Infraction: Collided with Paginas on lap 29 in round 6 causing avoidable damage. Penalty reduced to 35 IPs for aggressive driving due to SkengD's attempt to yield and slow.
IP: 35

Infraction points: Round 7: Motegi

Offender: PhaedrusSocrates
Infraction: Multiple track boundary infractions in Turn 12. Several laps it was observed that the driver's car goes 4 wheels outside the right track boundary line between turns 11 and 12. This is an illegally wide line into Turn 12 violating track limits established in the OP.
IP: 20

Small update, forgot to add the rule about the limited number of times a restart may be called:
"The race may be restarted in this fashion up to two times, in other words, the race must be started by lap 5 at the latest after which the race will continue regardless of incident.
"

And a small addition:
" The race will be restarted at the regular point, if all drivers have not yet caught back up to the race pack then the pole sitter must either slow or park before the last turn leading onto the start straight in order to ensure all drivers are regrouped afterwhich the racing may commence."

Also, once we get past 20 "signatures," new signers can just add more numbers of course.

I noticed it was missing, but was on iPod so didn't bother adding it again, since I didn't have the link.
