Motor City Tunes

Am no good at getting this written down properly but am now in a Ford ST 315bhp 1310kg with the added ballast making the making the weight.. Ballast position -15 for better traction but that where i might be going wrong.. RH -10 -10 springs 9.4 5.4 Ext 8/5 Com 4/5 Anti Roll 2/6 camber which I think doesnt work in this game as i can drive any FF with 0.6 an 0.4 an not have any negatives apart from my fronts screaming but it still happens with say 2.5 to 3.5 infact i lose speed on corners with more camber, on the rear i dont have any camber maybe 0.5 as a guide to what you describe, toe angle is -0.10 to -0.25 ive tried everything but it doesnt help the front... Alot of the time i turn 180degress on wheel or even more.. My driving style must be mad but if try like it should be i just go off... Am pritty fast so its not that am driving rubbish i just screw the fronts an leave smoke everywhere...

Got it sorted :) trial an error guys... But thanks a mill for all the explaining on different parts of the car an how they work for as before i knew things but i just needed it in writting for it to really stick in mind :) what i did with the Ford ST is -10-10 ride height 15.5 3.0 on springs, Dampers 10 an 5.. 5 an 5 on compression 2 an 6 on roll bars, Camber 0.8 0.0 -0.25 -0.25 LSD 5/24/5 i believe that less camber is better for my style of steering, am a massive senna fan so being on the edge with enough camber is faster.. My brake balance is 3/2 i trail brake into some corners to get the front end just pointing an hugging the line perfect.. I am still getting the fronts red but my tyre wear is fine.. Thanks again.. An Merry Christmas :) lol

Thanks. You are welcome in the garage any time my friend. Maybe work on a joint tuning effort 💡

Hello Hami, i wanted to test your gran turismo ford gt tune as bench mark for my car, but when i click on the link of the shootout it give an alert of malware... don't know what .... So i enter by your garage and it's ok, check the link of your ford gt in the shootout thread, there is a problem there.
Thanks. I'll tell you later about the car, but not on Monza...:)

This tune was built for the FITT Race Car Tuner Challenge, 625PP division at Monza. I did break my own gearbox rules again with this car. First gear is useful to get through the first set of esses. I really like this tune. I think this may be able to give the Zonda Race Car a run, if the tune matches up well with the tester driving styles.

Enjoy.

Like i've said first, i give a try to this setting on the ring at 650PP // Racing Medium //
I don't know what to say, this car is amazing , i did the 650PP record in front of the HSV, 5:59.328
Just change my gear box of course, for the ring, LSD to 8/12/10 and a full downforce 50/70.
The car is so easy that i did this second try, with the ghost of my HSV always back. Very impressive car.

The only bad thing is that now ,i'll have to do my tune and a better time. If not, i'll not publish any and put a link of your car in my garage.:):sly:

Have a good day, merry christmas and a happy new year.

This event will start with rain and about 30% road surface water, increased to above 80%, then sometimes falling back to around 60%. I used Racing Intermediate tires and was able to catch the lead car on lap four. If you are driving using the DS3, do not be affraid to use TCS 1.

Your 430 Scuderia tune was amazing! Without it, I doubt I would've been able to beat the 580PP Ferrari seasonal.

Got any tips for the Zonda C12S 7.3? That thing really likes to come loose if you don't baby the throttle. I tried your Zonda R tune on it and that helped a bit, but it's still too out of control for my tastes. :) I've tried tweaking the LSD from your settings to make it more manageable (currently at 25/45/15), but it feels like it's not really helping much (if at all)—the outside rear tire still starts to come loose under any acceleration in most corners.

EDIT: I'm an idiot. I checked your LSD guide and saw I was tweaking it backwards. Cranked the LSD down to 25/5/15 and voila, suddenly I was able to beat the race. :) (The 620PP Supercar seasonal.)

This tune was built for the 580PP La Festa Cavallino Seasonal event using the G27 Wheel at Madrid. I was able to win even though I made a couple of pretty costly mistakes. I noticed some significant differences between tuning with the G27 vs. my previous Ferrari 430 Scuderia tune with the DS3. Front grip seemed to be harder to find. Increasing front springs, damper extention and camber while decreasing rear for these three settings worked to provide more turn in. The springs/dampers worked backwords to real world settings. I also reduced front ARB, reduced rear toe and increased front negative toe, all in search of more front grip.

This tune was built for the 580PP La Festa Cavallino Seasonal event using the G27 Wheel at Trial Mountain. This tune is quite different than the Madrid tune posted above. The elevation change and bumps at Trail Mountain really messed with the low, stiff Madrid tune. This tune is significantly softer.

good morning,

Thanks for the two separate Scuderia tunes. I noticed you stated you tuned these with a G27 and a Nixim brake mod. Can we look forward to more tunes from you with the G27? I certainly hope so. If you have a new wheel here is a list of different rigs and wheel stands. Will save you some time looking around.
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=239878

As far as the Nixim brake mod. I have been looking at the Nixim as well as GTEYE. Did you consider the GTEYE? Just curious as to your choice to go with the Nixim. I value your opinion and would like to hear if you feel the brakes mod is a small or big improvement.

thanks again.

I actually built my own wheel stand from PVC pipe. The measurements are very close to my real world Miata race car; pedals same spacing and same distance from seat, wheel same height and distance from seat, etc.

8333198309_eb3a7400a0_c.jpg

The GTEYE looks like the same spring that Nixim uses. The Nixim also comes with a spongy block, kind of like an eraser that sits inside the bottom 1/3 of the spring. The main advantage of this is that the Nixim will have three phases and the GTEYE will only have two. I guess you could add an eraser to the bottom of the GTEYE and accomplish the same thing.

The Nixim kit also came with a progressive clutch spring allowing you to move the stock clutch spring to the gas pedal for a stiffer gas pedal. I decided not to use use the clutch mod because I didn't see the point in it. I don't think that the gas or clutch needs to be stiffer nor do they need to be progressive.

The Nixim brake mod is a big improvement. Let me be clear, it is not real world realistic. If you want that you are going to have to spend a lot more money on a load cell brake like the Perfect Pedal for $250 USD. A load cell brake will be the most realistic braking you can get. The Nixim is the best budget one that I saw on the market. The problem with the stock G25/27 brake spring is that there is no feel. I couldn't brake with consistency because it is difficult to feel how far you have pushed the brake pedal. The Nixim solves this with its three stages. Whether you want just a touch of braking, mid-level amount or hard braking, the three stages of the Nixim allows you to feel the difference between each one. It is now much easier to brake consistently.

It is likely that I will build more tunes with the G27, but I will still have to use the DS3 sometimes. I don't have a permanent place for my wheel rig, so it moves to the attic when not being used. I did build it to separate in the middle by pulling two pins. As for the DS3, I am just as fast with it. These controller extenders are a huge improvement.

This car was built for the FITT Fall Battle 2.0 Tuner Challenge. I only had 30 minutes to tune this car and I am entering it with less than the allowed 550 performance points. I just refuse to add a GT Auto rear wing to this car because they are so ugly. This car was tuned for style and for a fun ride. I doubt that this tune will be among the fastest of the field. Car is on share now.

This tune was built for the 580PP La Festa Cavallino Seasonal event. The Enzo is a tricky car. This tune is far more easy to drive than stock, but I just can't get it perfected. I did win the Nurburgring GP/D track with this tune, but I think I would rather drive a 430 Scuderia.

Did I post those? I don't remember doing that? I just threw out my initial drawings yesterday. I saw a PVC version in the sim racing threads and then set out to design this one to closely match my real world Miata race car. It's close.
