Hello everyone at gtplanet. I am new here, but not new to the drag racing scene. I have been drag racing for well over 8 months, and I just recently have found out about this sight. So, here I will be posting base tunes for various different cars, to help out those in need. These are base tunes, so they are not my personal tunes, but they will definitely help you out and with some tweaking, you'll have a fast drag car. I will try to post atleast 2 base tunes a week, but some weeks I will be to busy to do this, while others I will post more that 2. I will take suggestions, and try to make a base tune within 3 days. Below each base tune I will also post my own time that I have achieved so you guys can know what to shoot for.

The Base Tunes (click car name to view tune)

Chevrolet Camaro SS '10
Ford GT (No Stripe) '02

Atleast two base tunes coming in every week! I will happily take suggestions. Reviews and results are appreciated.

++If anyone needs a car from here, please PM me and I will send the car within 3 days.++

Without further adieu... here is my first base tune...

Saleen S7 '02

highspeedring1k.jpg

Specifications:
847 horsepower @ 6800 rpm
867 ft-lb @ 4300 rpm
1125 kg

Suspension:
left / right
min / max
max / min
2 / 5
2/ 10
1 / 1
front / rear
4.5 / 0.0
-1.00 / 0.80

Transmission:
set final gear between 2.500 & 2.700
put 1st and 2nd gears all way left
leave 3rd gear alone
put 4th gear about .100 from full right
put 5th and 6th gears all way right
set final gear to 2.000

*Ballast: 100-200*

Make sure you shift @ around 7000 rpm, and launch in gear 2.

Notes:
This car has enormous torque from its 7.0 liter OHV Ford 427 powerplant therefore creating huge smoke on takeoff. But if this beast is tuned correctly, you can eliminate much of the wheelspin, and have crazy pull. (For example, it takes off equally as a Supra, but has a .400 faster time.)

Ford GT (No Stripe) ’05

caperingz.jpg

Specifications:
873 horsepower @ 6900 rpm
748 ft-lb @ 4900 rpm
1208 kg

Downforce: 40

Suspension:
left / right
min / max
max / min
10 / 10
10 / 10
1 / 1
front / rear
5.5 / 0.0
-1.00 / 0.75

Transmission:
set final gear between 2.550 & 2.750
put 1st and 2nd gears all way left
leave 3rd gear
put 4th gear about .100 from full right
put 5th and 6th gears all way right
set final gear to 2.000

Make sure you shift @ around 7500 rpm, and launch in gear 2.

Notes:
Not much, haha. If you find the right starting final gear, with very little suspension tweaking, this is a very competitive time, and with a good tree, will take out almost every no stripe online.... and on the leaderboard.
Psssss... your top speed in the top right corner of the transmission tuning box should be around 190. If it is too low, redo your transmission with a higher starting final gear. If it is too high, redo your transmission with a lower starting final gear.

Yo midnight mazdaman saying that there's a thread call GTplanet 1/4 date base and your no stripe is 3 seconds off the best time. If you want to be put in the date base post your no stripe time on that thread. Ok bro. :) and I tried the S7 tune got a 9.599 :)

Nice time!!! Just a very little bit of tweaking to do. Maybe you can even get it better than mine. 👍
Oh, I see the data base now. The no stripe record is 9.042 and i have 9.045. Okay. I will just leave my images and times here though, I'm find mazdaman. And my Saleen S7 is 0.009 off.
So the data base, is basically where all the gtplanet members post pictures of their drag car times and its a leaderboard?

You know I actually never seen anybody tune a S7 for drag. :)

Yes, same for me. That's why if you do see one, you have a higher chance of beating them, since it is a rare car, and you have to use ballast with it, and find the right shift point. Therefore it is harder to tune.

Have u ever tuned a FF car? Just a question midnight :)

Yup. But there are honda, 4 cyl jdm, and ff drag rooms. I think you still see less of S7 than average integra or civic. I'm not sure. I haven't seen much S7's in rooms lately, and the ones that I do see are not tuned to good.

Ya. I think most original draggers now either like high time cars like a V-Spec or low time cars like Civic Type R (EK) '97. Or not who knows I could be wrong.

I like tuning & dragging all type of different cars. Although I'm not too strong in FF. I see I have posted 2 base tunes for high-powered cars. I'll switch it up, and when I have time I'll put up some street car base tunes.

I will take suggestions, and try to make a base tune within 3 days.

Alright well you just keep on posting your tunes. Ok. You got some really nice tunes hey and add me on PSN. PSN: PensVAN99 :)

See ya. :)

Can anyone help me out and teach me how to link a tune into my opening post? Like having a link of post #3 into post #1.
So . . .
Saleen S7 '02 And someone can click that and it would take them to my S7 tune.
I think I just figured it out. I link the number that is in the top right corner of the box that the post is in. I am going to try right now.
Yes, It works! :)
More base tunes coming in a few days ! Suggestions will be considered. Reviews will help me! 👍 ;)

One more question. Is the thing at the bottom of every post someone makes, called the signature. If it is, then I am trouble seeing it. When I do "preview signature", I see it, but then I don't on any of my posts. Am I not supposed to see my own signature?

Pontiac GTO 5.7 Coupe '04

tsukubacircuitp.jpg

Specifications:
814 horsepower @ 6000 rpm
776 ft-lb @ 4900 rpm
1375 kg

Downforce: 20

Suspension:
left / right
min / max (put max/max for SSRX)
min / max
1 / 10
2 / 9
1 / 1
front / rear
2.5 / 0.0
-1.00 / 1.00

Transmission:
set final gear between 3.400 & 3.650
put 1st gear all way left
leave 2nd gear
put 3rd gear about .200 from full right
put 4th gear about .050 from full right
put 5th and 6th gears all way right
set final gear to 2.000

Make sure you shift @ around 6500 rpm, and launch in gear 1 and quick shift to gear 2.

Notes:
This car makes its torque and horsepower pretty early in the powerband, therefore creating a earlier-than-usual shift point, and leading to a high top speed setting. It is important that you have a high top speed. Some 5.7 GTO’s that I race online have bad tunes because the transmission was tuned incorrectly and it had a low top speed and shifted at redline. You do not want to get anywhere near redline with this except on the launch when you are quick shifting. It is critical to find the exact shift point.

****Guys, I rushed to get this one in, so if you find something unusual please inform. 👍 Hope it helps you out. :)
