This is cars fully broken in, with oil change, less than 5,000 miles of mileage.
(EDIT: And if it's not, it says NBI= not broken in - or it gives the mileage.)

Anyway...
My Audi A2 has 580miles on it, and with oil change it's at 309pp

My Merc was at 325pp, but that was with just 50 miles on it.
I'm still breaking it in right now.
In fact, Bspec bob has it in a Bspec seasonal right now - all hopped up with parts, but I failed to give him a good transmission so he's hitting the limiter all over Monza. He's in 1st place though.
I'll let you know when I get the car to about 180 miles.

OK. Thank you for the update, watermelon. I'm hoping I just did something stupid like outfitting the Mercedes with better tires by accident. That's the only thing I didn't regulate when running a few test laps last night. My cars are nearly on par with yours in terms of PP, so that's probably the right answer.

If not, I am prepared to need that 3 minute time limit when using the Audi.

Hi. I've been looking at this thread a few days. Is it too late to join todays race if I can get an Audi? I wasn't sure if I could make it, that's why I haven't shown my interest earlier

Great races! Very very fun.
I finish up for dinner time here, so it'll definitely be tomorrow (at least in Europe) before I get the results ready to post.

Just an FYI:
IMZIZ had only planned to be able to do the 1st 2 races.
I had word from Handlebar that had a family member who needed his attention.
Just so nobody thinks they were mad.

Still great racing out there as always, and my thanks to watermelon for always putting on a good event for those of us who don't tend to frequent 600+PP racing machines.

Enjoyed last night's races a lot!

Race 1 was a constant battle with Doodle after I was able to squeeze pole out of the "A". I don't think anyone stayed ahead for a whole lap, and me pulling out the win was just because I happened to be behind going into the back straight so I could overtake before the chicane, and after it was more or less impossible to overtake. Had the race continued, going into turn 1 Doodle would have had me again.

Race 2 was difficult in the somewhat disadvantaged Audi. Once I got into 3rd, there was already a gap to Doodle and Melon and I ran out of time to catch Melon's slipstream.

In the Mercedes, catching up from the back was a lot easier, although the early stages were a bit chaotic with a couple of Mercedes all pressing up against the struggling Audis. Doodle was faster again in going through the pack, and once I was in 2nd towards the end of lap 1, he was about 2.5 seconds ahead - just enough so I didn't have a slipstream coming down the straight. I fought hard all of lap 2 to get close enough and a small mistake on top of the hill let me close up before the straight. Doodle then ran wide before the little carousel and what you absolutely don't want to happen, happened. I had to go into the straight leading another car closely. Of course, he started to overtake, so I knew I had to drop back to get some tow again, which worked, but not enough to go by cleanly, so we went side by side from the bridge through the chicane and the last corner to the finishing line. Epic finish separated by 0.1-something.

Congrats Doodle for a well deserved win!

I held the results until I could have more eyes review the incident in Race #3, Lap 1 at the Wehrseifen tight left-hander. We could find no evidence of any violations.

And in fact, in reviewing the replays, I was impressed with everyone who had spin outs & unintentional off-road excursions, exercised perfect track etiquette while getting back on the course. 👍

I daringly declare this one of our most incident-free races at the Nürburgring --
A track that not only is prone to a lot of paint trading in general... but seemed to bring out the surprisingly colourful character of the Mercedes-Benz A 160 Avantgarde '98... and also showcase both the good (stability) and the bad (understeering) of the Audi A2 1.4 '02.

Probably... mine was perfectly matched and I only managed 4th

Naah those guys in the top were a bit alien-like so I'm totally satisfied with 4th, and that I got 3rd in one race! (if only Jammy wouldn't have just caught mine and Husams draft going in to the straight.. then i would have had third ^^)

Hey! We got under the 10-minute mark in race 2! Got a 9:56 with almost no slipstream (under 1 sec I would estimate).

That was a lot of fun. I will try to join on Friday.

Going through Turn #1 in grid order made things pretty sane off the start line. 👍


But no help for the Mercedes on the rest of the following turns. Just a bit too fast, and the Mercedes starts pivoting around like a lazy susan!
Handlebar was not present for the practices where we learned this unfortunate tendency of the Mercedes on those first set of turns!
Let this be a warning to Friday night sign-ups.
This was by far NOT the only time we were to see Mercedes pointed in completely the wrong direction!

Doodlemonoply was stuck behind me in the back for quite a bit of lap 1, and still managed to win.


With enough small cars, the Nurb track is still quite narrow.




Driving into a cloud of smoke is always disconcerting!
One is torn between hoping for a chance to advance or possibly becoming part of the kerfluffle!

Haha that pic is hilarious! Didn't even notice the backwards car at first.. it's so perfectly lined up. Very lovely pictures in all! You really got some nice ones there and it's always nice to see yourself in pictures taken by others.

Can you tell I really enjoyed these races?

Hard not to notice ^^ Taking that many pictures takes a looot of time I'm happy you enjoyed it because that gives us loads of pictures and probably more great events like these

Ok so my cars will be my "trademark" Pirtek colours but with a twist. The slower one (Audi) has red wheels instead of yellow.
