Multi-Class Championship Series: Multi Class Division

Multi-Class Championship Series Overview

The Multi Class Championship Series is a league devoted to multi-class racing. We want to allow for multiple skill levels to compete on the same track, at the same time. Vehicles would be different per Class, and limited on a HP/ Weight basis. The series is going to be on a points per race system, with a Class Championship, a Division Championship, & an Overall Championship.

Multi-Class Division Structure
See Here for Overall Structure

There are to be 3 Classes within this division: A top, mid, and low level class.

-Each of these divisions has specific requirements for your car, and each season these restrictions are subject to change depending on feedback from you.
-As this series is just starting, We will be hosting a special single event to kick off the season, with seeding into each class based on results from this pre-season event.
-See Season Schedule below for more details.

- Class A
This is the Advanced/ Top Level Class
This should have a maximum of 4 competitors

-Vehicle: LMP Class Cars (i.e. Bentley Speed 8, Toyota GT-One, Mazda 787B, etc)
-HP Cap: 750 (subject to change)
- Minimum weight of 850 kg
-No Tuning other that Brake Balance
-No Drivers Aids, except ABS
-Same type of car required for each season, but not necessarily the same car. (i.e. everyone has to run a LM class vehicle and stick with it for the whole season, and then change it up for the next season)

- Class B
This is the Mid-Level Class
This should generally be the largest class of competitors, with a max of 8.

-Vehicle: Super GT500 Vehicles (see list here[thx GT5racecentral.com])
-No Tuning other that Brake Balance
-No Drivers Aids, except ABS
-Same type of car required for each season, but not necessarily the same car. (i.e. everyone has to run a SuperGT car and stick with it for the whole season, and then change it up for the next season)

- Class C
This is the Learning/ Amateur Class
This class should be smaller than the mid-level Class, but not limited to any number of racers. We will generally have all new members begin in this class.

- Vehicle: Suzuki Cappuccino
-No Tuning other that Brake Balance
-No Drivers Aids, except ABS
-Same car required for all competitors each season (i.e. everyone has to run the Suzuki Cappuccino and stick with it for the whole season, and then change it up for the next season)

Graduation/ Moving Up

This Division will have a graduation system held to it, with specific checks required per season. This will go into effect after the first season, as we cannot apply this process until the first few races have been completed. Generally this graduation system will be as follows:

- At the end of each race, points, positions, and rankings will be posted.

At this time, Classes B & C will be evaluated and the following changes may be made:

- Any Class B racer who finishes in the last 2 positions for 2 consecutive weeks will be downgraded to Class C.
- Any Class C racer who places First or Second for 2 consecutive weeks will be promoted to Class B, unless Class B is full (max of 8 racers), or they wish to stay until the end of the season for points purposes.

- At the end of each Season:

The racer who places Last in Class A will be downgraded to Class B.

The racer who places First in Class B will be promoted to Class A.

The Last 2 Places in Class B will be downgraded to Class C.

The racer who places First in Class C will be promoted to Class B.

This system will allow for the most even competition amongst all classes, and still allow for continued growth amongst skill levels and encourage all to compete every week, as points are cumulative.

Weekly Schedule

- Races will be held on a bi-weekly basis, so each Division will run on separate weeks to allow for competitors to run both Divisions.

Mondays: Practice will be held at 8PM EST for the Division racing that week.
Wednesdays: Open Practice for both divisions. 8PM EST will be Multi-Class Practice. 9PM EST will be NASCAR Practice.
Thursdays:Race Day: Qualifying will begin at 8PM EST, with racing to begin at 8:20PM EST.

Race Issues

Real complaints are encouraged, as they insure a better racing environment for everyone. Issues should be addressed by "Private Message" to the race referee of the race in which the incident occurred. Please include race number, lap number, and time of incident. A ruling will be announced after a replay review by a different referee. Any racing issues should be dealt with via private message within this forum, or private email via PSN, and not publicly within the race lobby.

Series Referees

TBD

Thanks and enjoy the Multi-Class Championship Series!

Hey Guys.

I have been putting in a lot of hours to get the MCCS details finalized and try to get some actual events started. I've got the (tentative) Inaugural Season loaded onto the page now, as well as our weekly schedule for the next couple of weeks. We don't expect to be starting the actual racing for points right away, but we would like to meet up ASAP and begin practices so we can lock in some details regarding expected cars, HP/ Tuning limits, etc. for each Class/ Division. The more people we have available to tune with, the faster we can lock these details in and get the season started. Plus, if you join now, you'll have a large input into the final details of the MCCS, as some of the items I mentioned above are definitely not set in stone, so if you've ever wanted to have a series to make your own, now's the time!

We have some really exciting things lined up for the first season of the MCCS, including some really great ideas for the Multi-Class Division, the awesome All-Star Break, and the NASCAR Division as a whole. Seriously! I can't wait to get started. Hope to see you on the track!

Small update guys... we should be deciding on final cars for all 3 Classes in the Multi-Class Division on Monday, and then deciding on the final specs for NASCAR Division on Wednesday... Hope to see you on the track!

Update on tomorrow...

In case we do not have more of a turnout, we will open a public lobby, rather than the private community lobby. I will send out a message to those who have signed up with what we are doing, as well as posting here.

Hope to see you on the track!

First Practice tonight!

The Multi-Class Division will host its first practice tonight at the Daytona Road Course. This initial practice will be used to determine vehicles and final specs for the first season of the Multi-Class Division. Practice is open to all! Please review the above specs for how to join our league, or just Send myself (PSN ID: CasaMofo) or the MCCS_Lobby a friend request on PSN and we'll get you started. Alternatively, depending on turnout, we will make this practice an open lobby practice to help with recruitment.

Hope to see you on the track!

Lobby is open... id is 1472-6681-3115-0607-1207 ... come on out... hope to see you on the track...

Open Practice tonight!

Come out and work on your setups for the Multi-Class Division or NASCAR with us, or just hang out. Lobby will be open at 8, should be starting with Multi-Class, and then changing over to NASCAR at 9PM.

Hope to see you on the track!

Looking for some feedback on this Series.

Obviously we have not had a lot of turnout/ interest in this series, so I am trying to gather feedback to see what sort of changes should be made to increase interest and thus increase membership. I feel like the concept is pretty solid, and I think the schedule is pretty good, but obviously something is not great, so...

I am open to shifting some things around/ making changes to the overall concept to attract more peeps. I'm also willing to work with the schedule a little bit to get some more people. I have already updated the practice/ race schedule. Let me know if this helps.

Please let me know what you think needs to change to grow this Series.

Thanks,

Casa

This is now the homepage for the Multi-Class Division of the MCCS. If you are looking for the MCCS Homepage, click here. Hopefully the changes I've made above will assist in understanding the league setup, and allow us to grow. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Casa

Feedback:

We are still looking for some honest feedback on this Series. I have received some feedback regarding the layout of the pages for the Series, so I have gone ahead and seperated the 2 divisions into their own pages, Multi-Class and NASCAR, and I have also cleaned up the format for both divisions, and the overall series. Hopefully this will ease some of the questions we may have received regarding the setup of the series.

I have a question for you guys regarding the scheduling of the series. I am considering holding races on Wednesday instead of Thursday, or possibly holding one Division's race on Wednesday, and the other Division's race on Thursday. Let me know what you guys think.

I see that your basing your restrictions on hp and weight. Is this a problem with the gt-r? It is somehow faster than cars with more horsepower that are lighter and I think kaz must like it because it feels overpowered... Does everyone use it in its hp/weight class or does it seem to have fair competition?

Yes, I think there may be a slight advantage to the GT-R, but it would not really be an issue for our first season, and possibly not at all. We are working on a car/ division per class basis, so if the GT-R was used in our series, everyone would have access to it, and therefore there would be no advantage.

In this inaugural season, the only class that has access to a GT-R variant is the Class B, which are running GT500 vehicles. Since this series is matched on a HP/ Weight basis already, we do not have to worry about the bias towards the GT-R at this point.

Hope that clarifies somewhat what we are working towards. Hope to see you on the track!

Practice Tonight 8PM EST!

Practice tonight for our special pre-season event: Mini Cooper S '05 at Tsukuba Circuit. This will be a seeding event to determine our Class rosters for the inaugural season of the Multi-Class Division, so all are running the same vehicle. Practice makes better, so show up, have a good time, and get some time in with our new members.

Hope to see you on the track!

Hey case I would love to help. You start out this league but unfortunately I was out and I also don't have much money to buy all the cars required for the races. I will definitely be very interested once I have gotten more into the game. Thanks

Hey loyxx I recommend doing the seasonal events to earn some money quick, for example in seasonal events if u have a NASCAR, roughly 12 minutes at the autodrome just cut the chicanes u get about 3,000,000 if your a 200% and at a certain pp limit if not I would say about a million or 2 depends on if you have jt doubled or not

Hey ph1sher thanks do the advice! I did the BRZ seasonal and got 295k from seasonal, but I didn't have time to beat the other overtake races. The only problem with the other races are, other than the difficulty, is that you have to buy the car before you can win the prize money. I currently don't have enough for a NASCAR so i can't do the seasonal yet. But I will give it a go once I get my hands on a NASCAR and thanks again for the chicane tip 👍

i have many nascars that i dont use, and just add me on psn if you would like too and ill send you a nascar. You can keep the car for yourself! It has my tune on it:tup: (Dont use it at autodrome, however you spell it):indiff:

or do bspec level 5 at autumn ring, i use a NSX type r 1992 i win everytime by not touching the buttons. but those races take about 8 minutes and you get roughly 850,000 if you win with a 200%, plus a racing suit.

Goodluck! Earn some $$$$$

Welcome to the MCCS loyxx & Ph1sher. Please reply back to this post with your requested Car Color, Wheel Color, and Car Number for cars with number plates. Make sure you accept the friend requests from the lobbies, and we Hope to see you on the track!
