Multi-Class Championship Series: NASCAR Division

Multi-Class Championship Series Overview

Multi Class Championship Series is a 2 Division series for Multi-Class and NASCAR racing. We want to allow for multiple skill levels to compete on the same track, at the same time. The series will operate on a points per race system, with a Class/ Race/ Division/ Overall Championship. The 2 Divisions will race on a bi-weekly basis.

NASCAR Division Structure
See Here for Overall Structure

This Division is intended to be for anyone who wants to run in a well regulated NASCAR race on a bi-weekly basis. This Division will be held to a very strict HP/ Weight regulation, as well as a specs list for Downforce. We are attempting to recreate actual racing conditions at Daytona as of the last race ran there. (i.e. 2013 Daytona 500) Restrictions are to be based on acheiving exact lap times as Danica Patrick, polesitter for the last Daytona 500. As mentioned above, this Division will run on the off weeks for the Multi-Class Division, but still count for the overall championship points. This means that you can run only this Division, or both, and run for both championships respectively.

Restrictions

- 2010/2011 NASCARS are required.
- HP MAX of 600
- Weight max of 1565 kg
- Downforce set to 35 for Front and 60 for Rear (subject to change)
- Open to all other tuning, but keep in mind we intend to run full length events with this series, so your specific tuning may make you slightly faster or slower, but longevity of tires and fuel used may be impacted by your choices.

Weekly Schedule

- Races will be held on a bi-weekly basis, so each Division will run on separate weeks to allow for competitors to run both Divisions.

Mondays: Practice will be held at 8PM EST for the Division racing that week.
Wednesdays: Open Practice for both divisions. 8PM EST will be Multi-Class Practice. 9PM EST will be NASCAR Practice.
Thursdays:Race Day: Qualifying will begin at 8PM EST, with racing to begin at 8:20PM EST.

Race Issues

Real complaints are encouraged, as they insure a better racing environment for everyone. Issues should be addressed by "Private Message" to the race referee of the race in which the incident occurred. Please include race number, lap number, and time of incident. A ruling will be announced after a replay review by a different referee. Any racing issues should be dealt with via private message within this forum, or private email via PSN, and not publicly within the race lobby.

Series Referees

TBD

Thanks and enjoy the Multi-Class Championship Series!

How do I join the series?

To join the Multi-Class Championship Series...

Part 1: Post your request to join along with your PSN ID in this thread and include your request for Class A, B, or C, and/or NASCAR. Also choose and include a unique (refer to racers list) car color, wheel color, and car number (if we use a car with a number plate) combination for the Multi-Class Division, and/or a unique Driver/ Paint Job for the NASCAR Division.

Part 2: Accept the friend requests you are sent which will include the MCCS_Lobby that is to be used for practice, testing, free run, or casual pick up races. There will also be requests for each Division, which should be MCCS_D1 & MCCS_D2.

Feedback:

We are still looking for some honest feedback on this Series. I have received some feedback regarding the layout of the pages for the Series, so I have gone ahead and seperated the 2 divisions into their own pages, Multi-Class and NASCAR, and I have also cleaned up the format for both divisions, and the overall series. Hopefully this will ease some of the questions we may have received regarding the setup of the series.

I have a question for you guys regarding the scheduling of the series. I am considering holding races on Wednesday instead of Thursday, or possibly holding one Division's race on Wednesday, and the other Division's race on Thursday. Let me know what you guys think.

This just my opinion I saw race six as replicating the NASCAR truck series so why not race pickup trucks at Daytona they punch such s big hole in the air no body would have a real big advantage

We may look into that as a Season 2 option, but for now, the concept for the whole series is to stick with the same vehicle for the entirety of the season, and then change it up for the next season. Granted this is more for the Multi-Class Division, but I think the point still applies, considering we are keeping the vehicle restrictions the same for each race. We do have the option to de-tune the vehicles for the specific races given, but I haven't really had any feedback regarding that option, so for now, we will just be running the length to match the event, rather than trying to match the circumstances or Series specs for each race.

Open Practice Tonight 8PM!

Keep in mind this is an open practice session, so we will have Multi-Class Division at 8PM, with (hopefully) a small 10-15 lap race at 8:30 or so, and then transition over to NASCAR practice at 9PM, with a possible practice race at 9:30.

Hope to see you on the track!

We are scheduled to be off tonight, but if we can get a few people to show up, we may try to have NASCAR practice tonight instead of the Multi-Class Series. What do you guys think?
