~The Right Numbers~
100 laps at Daytona is a big number, but there are so many possibilities for those trying to work out fuel numbers. How much do you save? How much do you fill up? Do you go for two stops, three? Do you pit on a caution? Do you try and anticipate the caution to gain a jump? How much extra do you gamble on for a Green-White-Checker? It's a key factor in this race more than anything.

~Points Make Prizes~
For the first time ever, points will count for leading laps in the NASCAR Truck Series - how many drivers will try and stretch strategies another lap and push that little harder to get a lap at the line?

~Avoid The Big One~
It's somewhat inevitable sparks will fly in the closing stages - last lap wrecks on the last 4 points-paying Daytona truck races prove this. Be in the right place at the right time and move at the right time. It's like a 200mph chess match in those late stages.

100 Laps and 250 miles of Daytona as we head to the home of NASCAR for the season opener proper. If qualifying is anything to go by, we are in for a hell of a season. Six teams in the top six, and barely 1-tenth between the field.

So many stories... will Gokartman (current pole-sitter) win? The Budweiser Shootout winner has never won the 250 the following week. Can RPM continue there end of season from and convert it to a win? What about solo entries from ex-series champion's Akmuq and JoeOfTheFire, and race winner (and indeed former Shootout champion) Smuffy? It is really more open than ever.

Qualifying runs until 7:30pm BST tomorrow night, then green flag flies at 8pm BST for a new season of GTP NASCAR Truck Series racing!
