TBH, I don't really mind being kicked out of this, I wasn't going to qualify for this race anyway. :indiff:

A reminder the same top 12 standings sued for this event are also going to be used for Round 2 at Motegi - this season's standings will only be used after that race.

It still infuriates me how Matty needs to eliminate Litchi from the race to get in himself, unless someone doesn't make it of course.
 
Isn't top 12 being a little generous for locking in a starting spot? Seems like locking in the top 8 should cover any real title contenders and still give faster qualifiers more chances to make the race. The way it is now, after two guaranteed starts, it's going to be pretty hard to drop out of the top 12 in points for the rest of the season while potentially faster cars are sitting out because they couldn't qualify in the top 5. It creates an uphill battle the rest of the season for those outside of the top 12 from last season.

Also, single-truck qualifying at Daytona is a terrible way to set a field, since drafting prowess determines a winner way more than raw speed. Have two short heat races. 10 trucks in a quick 10-lap dash with no cautions. The top 5 finishers from each race would be in the first 10 spots for the main race. Take the top 4 remaining from last season's points, then take the fastest two guys left from qualifying for the last six spots.

I think individual quali is fine, but I agree with Drop, 12 locked in is probably too much.
 
I got a better idea, just lock in all Pepsi drivers, the rest can scramble for the remaining spots. :sly:
 
Individual quali too me is fine as it is just like real life. But 12 is too much maybe 10 or as drop said 8.
 
I think 3/4 is a nice balance to have. Final Q session is in 2hrs 15mins. Race start 3hrs 15mins.
