Iroq,
Good driving and winning D5 again; can't help to comment that the GT-R is an awesome car. Good pick!

How about Suzuka?

The round that received the second most votes was:
ROUND 3 - Nissan SKYLINE GT-R R32 TC @Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since iroquois-- gets Prize B, he gets to decide which part of the combo is replaced and what replaces it.

You don't like SPA wolf? I would love to see Spa stay and change the car, even though I really like that car also.

id rather know my stuff is the same as everyone and beat them than get 4th with sub par stuff and idolize myself on an if statement. that is a pussy move. if you are so damn good show up with the right stuff and beat everyone, otherwise keep your mouth shut and show everyone what you got.

Big words from a small man. Some of us adults have this thing called a job. And people in our REAL life called wife and kids. We don't all have hours of free time to practice and prepare for these races that you cherish so much.

So I find it rewarding, much like you find winning rewarding, when I do manage a bonus hour or two on Sunday and do better than I expect. Makes me feel like I didn't waste those two hours along with dragging the wheel out and hooking it to my TV tray.

So if you want to race against a pussy to make yourself feel better, me and my non practicing ass will be in PP Cap racing on Monday and Thursday night. Totally unprepared and ready to kick your ass :) With my TV tray and all.

Does this make it 11% Zero? I demand a recount btw.

I love Spa! I loved the ZR1 RM there, do a Zo6 stock one or the Stock ZR1 would be fun! Or sad to say the 2013 GT-R would be fun as well

I think I'm going to trade my race seat for a TV tray. Some of the fastest people I know use one. Maybe TV trays should be banned?

I went through the three stages of Spa, lol. When I first raced it (i went on a long hiatus racing, like nearly 6 years of only light, occasional racing) on GT5, I loved it, then I over did it and got burned out on the track, then it went through a bunch of rounds on snail. But this last time we raced there I loved it again. I think it's because we raced it and I raced it so many times I know it probably better then most other tracks in the game, other then maybe Leguna Seca.

And you have to put your pedals on the slippery tile floor. This way they slide away from your feet half the time. You have to drive barefoot so you can curl your toes around the gas pedal and pull it back into place during the race.

All the cool pussies are doing it.

It's funny you'd think having a different setup would make some sort of difference but it really doesn't seem to. When I'm on the road I have my DFGT and it's the luck of the draw as to what I have to set it up on. I've had some places that were pretty good and the TV was able to be moved onto a desk and was at the right height to see it well and others where I had a TV way up on the wall and couldn't even get lined up with it so the perspective was right. Funny thing is that when I'm on the road long enough and I get used to the DFGT I'm almost as fast as at home with the T500 and a race seat. I of course prefer my rig at home and for GT Academy I will have it with me even if that means shipping it to some other state but for Sunday night races I've found it's not as big of a deal as I thought it would be.

BTW I'm sure Socal will speak up for himself but Joe's childish remarks need some responding to. I've known Socal for years and while he may be in D5 in SNAIL he's actually pretty fast IRL. He's married and has a real job but he has a passion for racing not a lot of people have. When he first started racing we used to cram 2 karts into a Honda Element both of them stripped to the frame because that was the only way they'd fit and build them once we got to the track. I'm sure the main reason he's racing in SNAIL is because he wants to get good enough at the game so he has a chance at GT Academy. I admire anyone with a passion and the drive to go after it. What passion do you have other than to annoy people Joe? You shouldn't trash on people if you know nothing about them.

Hmm. Thread falling. Again.

Back to the Nurb.

Kcheeb,

Idly curious about the new column in the Driver Information sheet. What does the Number of Races represent? Actual races or weeks participated?

Guys, that's enough. If you have the need to act like a child and bring all this crap into a public forum that is there for everyone to see, go away. Go away now and don't ever come back. Your presence is not needed here. Grow up and act like the adults that we are supposed to be. This isn't junior high school. The veiled name-calling and tit for tat crap that seems to be happening more frequently than I can ever remember is getting real old real fast. Get over yourselves. Grow up just a little bit and remember that just because it pops into your head doesn't mean you have to type it here.

This isn't addressed to anyone in particular but if you've read it and think I'm talking to you then you really need to heed the advice.

Well allow me to retort...

If everyone is "Required" to run their cars at the maximum PP then it should be mandatory that you post those exact numbers on the first page when the cars and tracks are listed. If the room can be set for a minimum PP or exact HP then it should be done. Otherwise how would we know who has a disadvantage? If that sounds corny...it probably is.

Nobody is "required" to run their cars at the maximum PP. Everyone is required to use cars that are broken-in. I don't care what anyone's PP is as long as his cars are broken-in. You are the only person who's having trouble with this concept, so I'll make it easy for you. If you can't or won't either break-in your cars or have someone send you broken-in cars, then don't race with us on Sunday nights. This is an organized league and we have rules. If you don't want to follow the rules, then just don't race. Fair enough?

So, a full 10% of my recent 100 posts (meaning 10) are about me running with no practice etc? So not really requiring your comment "all the time" then?

If my wife reminded me to give the cat a bath every time she said ten things to me, we wouldn't be married for very long. I'd tell her to stop :censored:ing telling to give the cat a bath all the damn time! And then I'd remind her that we don't own a cat. :dunce:

It does give some insight into your feelings on the subject when you choose to devote your time to reading the last 100 comments I posted. Feels a little stalkery I gotta tell ya.

Actually, I was just checking the facts. You said that you only complained about practice twice in the past few months, but it felt like a lot more than that to me. So I decided to count just to be sure I wouldn't have to put my foot in my mouth.

And maybe take a page from your own book by sending a PM if you have a problem with someone or how they conduct themselves on the forum.

I've never once PM'd someone because I had a problem with how they conducted themselves on the forum, so taking a page out of my book wouldn't do any good there. If you're referring to our policy of not talking about complaining about racing incidents on the forum, that policy is in place because we have a much better way to deal with that.

And for the record, I don't have a problem with you constantly reminding everyone that you don't practice. I just think it's a sign that your motivations for racing are less about having fun, and more about being perceived as a certain level of driver. I think the pressure you put on yourself to obtain or maintain the rep you seek doesn't allow you to just kick back and have fun. Like I said, there are plenty of drivers who don't practice before Sunday night, but they just don't feel the need to advertise it repeatedly. They're happy as long as they have close competition and intense battles on Sunday night. 👍

Yes, that makes it 11%. Here's your recount:

Back to the enduro racing people were talking about a couple of pages back, I started the Le Mans one today; 2 hours in, still raining and I'm a lap up since, for whatever reason, the AI is much worse in the rain than I am

Nice...probably slightly less than a full 11% but definitely in the 10% realm. Thanks...starting to try and visualize you on the computer frantically copying and pasting all my posts and linking the urls. Good stuff. Still stalkery but good nonetheless. Your forum-fu is unmatched.

Hill...your respectful buddy SoCal called me a pussy. So I responded in kind, frankly because I have no problem responding to trash talkers in a way that they fully understand.

So he started it...Nyah Nyah.

Ok...I'm done for today. It rained a lot and I was bored in between editing photos.

I built a decent rig with triples for my own enjoyment. Did it make me faster. Nope. The triples did help me to race door to door much cleaner.

In the end. I had the means and did what I enjoy. I'm tied to the house most of the time being a single parent with custody. So this allows me to enjoy racing and be right there for my kids.

Granted I tried to online race with GT5 prologue but kids were to young and couldn't even come up with 20-30 minutes uninterrupted.

Now my kids are older and can manage to keep busy for an hour or two. PS3 and XBOX helps that. ;)

Sometimes life gets in the way of hobbies. Just handle your business and come back to your hobby when things are more allowing.

Hows 9 est for you?

I'm in! Maybe in a lil earlier. Gotta go by 10:30pm for SNAIL Oval.

Kcheeb,

Hey Dragon, it's the number of weeks. I could see about adding the number of races.

In that sheet I added notes on all the column headings, if you hover over the black triangle in the upper right corner of the cell, it should show up.

Let me know if you can't see them 👍

Self congratulatory (tbd) as well.

Jeez, Joe, when did you (and Zer0... I would dock you a point, if it mattered) get so... Gah...

...

Never mind, you two go back to the playground and argue over Pokemon, or whatever that age group fixates on this year. :-P

To change topic. How is everyone doing in their 24 hour races so far? I am 3 hours in and I'm almost 2 laps ahead of the second place pescarolo. I have to pit every six laps due to me hauling serious ass and getting consistent 7:30 lap times. The weather looks like it is about to start raining though. I think it's awesome how this game calculates fuel mileage depending on how hard you push. Am gonna try to do a couple of more stints by the end of tonight.

And dragon. After writing 23 pages of essays this week. The last thing I want to do is check my spelling lol.

Spa is one of my favorite tracks, but this GT-R has grown on me, so I would like to race it at another fast track.
