Yea, I've raced Rotax and a few other classes there. Socal used to race at the club there and I used to go tune and coach him there. I was kind of his test driver for a while. Lol. We'll have fun. We should get some SNAIL stickers made up and put them on our helmets or something.

Thanks for your interest!
We would love to have you in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You run the Time Trial. (NOTE: The tires selected for this have more grip than our current tire regulations allow, but please follow the directions exactly anyways).
2. You PM kcheeb with your time from the time trial (no Sunday racing until this is completed).
3. We assign you to the division that we feel will give you the closest competition. kcheeb will add you to the drivers list.
4. We send you a you a PSN friend request from the corresponding SNAIL_Division1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 account. That PSN account's lounge is where you will race on Sunday night.
5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

Please note that we often race DLC from three add-on packs:

Racing Car Pack
Course Pack
Twin Ring Motegi Pack

If you don't have these add-on packs, you will need to sit out the races in which they are used.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Ill be posting a picture soon sometime tommorow of my buttkicker gamer 2 setup. And let me tell you, once I figured it out, oh man!! This thing is amazing!! So glad i got it! I really reccomend anybody who wants to improve their driving sim racing experience to get the buttkicker gamer 2! You really feel the car way more around the track.

Announcing the August Lineup for S.N.A.I.L. SPEC Racing​

The Drivers List has been updated with Promotions and Relegation's for the month of August.

This month has a fair amount of movement, all up :) Divisions 4 & 5 saw outstanding participation this past month and we've seen a bit of a drop in participation in D3, 2 and 1. It didn't make the decisions any easier though!

I'd like to point out there's no clear cut formula for getting promoted or relegated. We take into account a number of factors to determine candidates for promotion and relegation. Once we've identified the drivers, we analyze the data at our disposal and make sure the people being moved fit into the Division they're being moved to. Then we pull the trigger :dopey:

Some of the criteria for being ELIGIBLE to be promoted or relegated are:

1. Points for the month
2. How many drivers are in each division.
3. Race pace
4. Individual Lap Times
5. How you compare to other racers in your division and the division you're a candidate for.
6. Number of times you've raced that month.
7. How cleanly you've raced this past month.

Why do we do this?

1. To get you involved in races you will be racing in, not just putting in laps.
2. To incent you to improve your driving and racecraft.
3. To give you something to strive for.
4. To make it possible for you to have fun playing GT5.

We want you to be in good, close, clean racing 👍

I'm not complaining, but, it seems like all the good drivers from D4 got promoted! Ill miss that good close racing! :( Maybe I'll be placing top 5 more often... :P although there's still always some good competition in D4! looking forward to seeing all y'all Sunday!

That is the idea!! Don't go counting them chickens just yet... Our new D4 brothers are skilled, fast and will give us all many nights of exciting racing!

What are you guys running for lap times around trial mountain in the lambo with sports softs? Im running low 2:33s, the car is so slippery.. but fun!!

Tex was in D5? I thought He was in D2. Bandit we have plenty of competition with Tex36 in D4 now. Congratulations all who got promoted!!

awesome, while your at it, get some good vinyl stickers made up and I'll sticker my "race" car and tool box. Gotta be quality though, it's gotta live through water, snow, ice, dirt, mud and the sun.
 
Hill, I might consider flying down (or driving, but it's 14 hours each way. Yuck) for the 25-hour race in December if you get a group together for that. If you'd have me, of course. Would love to fly the SNAIL flag in the real world :)

Edit: Wait a sec. Isn't Thunderhill in NorCal? *heads off to the Google* Yep! It's only 6-7 hours from here. That's not bad at all.

Man I really wish I lived closer to all you guys... living in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the country seems like it would help but it sucks because everything happens alllll the way to the east and west!

P.S. since i forgot to say it in my last post... Congratulations to all of July's winners!
