Do you know if GT5 Prologue saves are really transferable on GT5 ? So if I earn money in the prologue and buy all the cars I can use them in the final game...

Well if it is then I won't be doing it. One of the best parts of any GT is starting from scratch with a really basic car.

He did say he was considering it, but I think that was from a two year old interview, and we've heard almost no interviewers mention anything but the GTPSP transfer lately. We'll have to wait for TGS for news on that, unless Jordan can sneak in a quick interview.

Even if I can transfer file from GT5 prologue, I wont do it. Since this is GT5 with better physics and graphics plus in-car view and G25, slow cars are gonna be enjoyable to drive and that will make any license test fun as hell!

Wasnt there a thread about this really recently? The search button is your friend...

ddl8, try the edit post button rather than multiple posts saying edit (at least that's what I assume you're saying)

I would only transfer my Nissan GT-R into the game. No money, nothing else. I love that car too much, and first ting I would wanna do it throw it around the Ring.

As the previous games have it, is logical to think will see the posibility to transfer money or cars from Prologue to GT5.

What's the point of Gran Turismo if you don't start with a Civic ? :D

Yes ^_^. Although I began GT2 with a second hand Honda Prelude :) And GT4...dammit, dont remmember my first car! :(

If possible, I will be importing my cars from both GT5:P and GT:PSP. Hypothetically, Say you spent only 1 hour attaining enough funds for each car plus 30 minutes testing it, thats 1500 hours (or 62 and a half days). Even over a period of 4 years that would mean spending over 1 hour per day acquiring and testing.

Lifes too short for me to personally justify that. But, each to their own i wont judge the people who disregard their cars from the other 2 games.

I will transfer everything that i can, because i see no need to do all the grinding again to aquire the necessary funds to get some nice cars.

It's not like i HAVE to use a Ford GT (for example) for Sunday Cup.
I will probably start out with a slow car, because this is what makes GT Mode so great, working your way up

I just like having a few cars unlocked from the start, if only for a few quick races with friends or driving around in photo mode or whatever

I vaguely remember starting GT4 & because I had a GT4p save game, getting the option to start with extra credits but I could have that confused with another game, it was quite a while ago & my memory is not what it was. But I do agree there is little point, I would rather start with a little hatchback.

I think you only got a "jump start" in GT4 with a GT3 game save. Even then it was only the first 2 licenses and 100,000 credits. No cars.

K.Y did say that all cars from previous GT can be transfered to GT5 aswell as GTPSP.
No he didn't. There has been ZERO confirmation on what can and cannot be transferred from your GT5P save, if anything. I wouldn't mind a small bit of cash being transferred over, but not cars.

You don't need source, Kaz mention this so many times.

He has never said all the GT5P and all previous GT cars are transferable at all, he said all GT PSP cars are transferable (actually not all but majority) and same with future GT games.

He did mention that. Watch the interviews, just not the recent ones. I think it even appeared in an GT5P presentation at GC.

Of course this doesn't mean you will be able to transfer everything to GT5. Just a hint that we could see some interaction.

Not to disturb the important argument of what kaz did or didnt say.

Im actually surprised about the number of people who, like myself, would want to start the game from scratch. For some reason it felt like i was the only one mad enough to want to struggle through the first few weeks of gameplay.

IMO nothing beats the tight racing of 200bhp japanese sports cars, were even the tiniest upgrade can make enough difference to gain one extra spot on the podium. I also found that this part of the game really helped you learn the tuning techniques, and that even after i had worked up through the game, my tuned integra was still my favourite car. I definately found the right balance just for me.

Anyway, so what was KAZ meant to have said about this feature i have no interest in?

He mentioned the ability to transfer cars (if I remember accurately) from the Prologue.

And about the usage - I want to start from the beginning too. But I also enjoy the split screen, and I want to be able to do some serious two-player, double-DF(Pro+GT) action from the day one. So I'll be madly happy if I could import a few of my Imprezas into GT5, race them around some gorgeous new tracks, and later on I would start playing "proper" GT5 with the cheap car and climb my way to the top (no way I'm going to spoil my game by using the Amuse S2000 or any other of those monsters right after the beginning).

Besides it's a very interesting feature, the ability to transfer data between games. After all - if it's not mandatory there is no reason to loathe it.

I am talking about transfering all GT5P cars to GT5, he never said that, only mentioned GT PSP and future GT games (so we feel to have 'ownership' of the cars). Sony have said a few times there will be some transferable things from GT5P to GT5 but have not elaborated the extent.

In the end it doesn't bother me as I start fresh and wont transfer anything.

I personally believe it's way too easy already, too much money and too many prize cars. Like you I love earning my way through with all the low end cars.

I hope you can transfer everything that you have earned. I remember when gt4 came out and the only perk you got was some basic license and a few k extra in credits. I was nice being able to get into some better races off the bat.
