Alright so, I know we're at the last days of the E3 Expo and I thought I'd do a thread in the similar fashion as the E3 post and post it ahead of time to give us time to prepare ourselves and organize a few cool things for the community.

Ok so, first up. I'm going to go at Gamescom again like last year and this time around, I'll not just have my camera but I'll have my dad's video camera as well as a tripod and a friend with me to help record all the footage I'll be able to get there. So this thread can be used as one single place to have all Gamescom news about GT5 in as well as write down video requests about what you think would be best to capture first and then we could have a ranking based on vote so that when I get there, I'll be able to record what people want most first. Hopefully this time around I'll be able to purchase the internet/wifi pass there so I'll be on twitter and posting here as well to update people live about what's happening and take some pictures and what not.

The second part of this thread, is having a meet-up with all the GTP members who will be attending the event. Just state in this thread which date you'll be attending and also if you have a specific time or not for how long you'll say so everyone can gather up and drink some beers 👍

Let me know if this is ok mods, hopefully it is! Also going to try and design a custom GTP shirt for when I get there and get it on spreadshirt.net they have good quality custom tshirts, I think.

SCEE has confirmed that it's holding its Gamescom press conference on Tuesday 17th August at 6pm CET (5pm UK time), after EA's conference.

Sony has also listed the first batch of games that will be there.

Speculated features, known features and other stuff:

- Skid/Tyre marks on tarmac.
- Working Pit crews.

- Dynamic Weather
- Updated standard Models (Premium Model).

The rumor going around right now is that they'll fully unveil the features and so on from GT5. Hopefully it's the case!

Well of course I am astonished ( as many of you I think) by the last news :drool:
The crash video was something in my mind because we saw the half rollover in the E3 2010 trailer. It was, of course, just a matter of time.

I think it is going beyond my imagination in any event.
This game is going to be unbelievable.

I think that dynamic (or even 'static') weather is very hard at this point.
The level of definition is so high that adding water pools, rain drops on cars and side objects and so on, in the way they would apply these kind of effects, is going to be a real challenge (GT 6?)

IF I could ask something that would be:
A) Will the Spec B be present in GT5? Until now, as far as I know, there was no official information about it. I am really sorry nobody asked that during Twitter 'interview'
B) Are you going to update Cars and/or tracks via DLC?

less priority on these ones:
C) Will we be able to save online replays?
D) What about the 1-4 players local information?
E) Is the track editor going to be present in the game?
F) Will you introduce flat tyre chances?
G) Is there any chance to see a 4 players split screen?
 
I can tell you now, that we will get a full track and car list, but they will say 200 cars will not be revealed...:-)

Yeah, people here already speculated features like skid mark implementation, livery editor etc.

So lets just see if its confirmed for GT5 at Gamescom. :nervous:
 
Well at first we need to see what is revealed and if it is not I would like people to ask:

- what happens if car ends up on the roof,
- if it is possible to open doors/hood in photo mode with premium cars,

As for what to record:

- as much GT mode menus etc as possible,
- as much online mode menus etc as possible,
- replay of standard and premium cars racing at the same time - just out of curiosity
 
I don't know if I can hang on for this ride.
I'm drained.

Can you add to the first post details on getting there, information for which airport is best and transportation options available from there to the show.

That way those that attend advertise these forums for free...

Good thing that Sony/P.D didn't show every single features at E3 2010.

The next Major announcement of GT5 features will be at Gamescom.

My following speculated things that I want to see there is:

1. All Le Mans Prototypes
2. Damage
3. Day/night transition in all courses
4. Weather (speculated)
5. Track/ livery editor (speculated)
6. GT and GT2 racing cars.
7. Old/New vehciles that we have/haven't seen in GT.
8. Unannounced Tracks, e.g trial Mountain, High Speed Ring, Apricot Hill, Deep Forest, Circuit De Spa Francorchamps etc.
9. Showing of Online.
10. GT MODE
11. Official Car list
12. Official Location/ Track list
13. Release date of PAL territories
14. Unknown features etc.
