I've had a GTRevolution for a couple of years now with a Logitech driving force pro. I race online with Nascar09 a lot. Anyway, I recently decided to make some upgrades and modifications to my cockpit before Gran Turismo 5 comes out. These are all of the pics of before, during and after my cockpit was completed.

This is what my cockpit has looked like for the last 2 years and it has served me well.

My trusty Driving force pro. The bungee strap mod is because of Nascar09 force feedback is way to strong and distracting so after the game has loaded I unplug it and hook the straps up under the steering platform. It gives me resistance and allows me to be super smooth on the track. I care more about being fast than I do about being realistic, lol.

The stock pedal tray for the GTRevolution. It was desinged for the Driving force pro several years ago.

I was one of the lucky ones back in the spring to pick up a Logitech G27 for $150 at Best Buy.

My new steering wheel adapter. Thanks, Chilicoke!

My new Isotta nivola 350mm steering wheel. $86 on eBay.

My new padel shifters. Thanks again to Chilicoke for making this stuff available for us sim racers.

I've wanted a new seat for my cockpit for a long time and finally decided to bite the bullet and buy one. The GTRevolution seat just had way to much of a back arch for me. My new seat is a Corbeau FX1 Pro.

I love this seat. It fits me like a glove and is very comfortable for the 2 hour league races that I run.

I bought some cabinet grade plywood and built me a console/shelf system to hold my G27 shifter, my laptop, games, controllers, etc.

The GTRevolution pedal tray was designed for the Driving Force Pro so the G27 pedals in their stock configuration wouldn't fit. I really wanted to invert the pedals like Chilicoke and some of the others on here have done, but I couldn't figure out a neat way of doing it with the steering stem being so close above the pedals. I'm sure somebody that had welding experience could fabricate something, but I'm not a welder. So anyway, I just built a wooden platform to hold the G27 pedals on the pedal tray of the GTRevolution.

A couple more pics of my console before I covered it in vinyl.

My pedals and console after I covered the wood with black vinyl.

This is my finished product and I couldn't be happier with it.

My new steering wheel complete with a Chevrolet center piece from an old Chevy Lumina steering wheel that I modified to fit the Isotta wheel and cover the steering wheel adapter.

A couple of shots of the console. The second pic has my new shifter handle on my shifter. $10 on eBay.

One of the cool features of the GTRevolution is the gaming console holding tray directly under the seat.

Well, I just thought I share my cockpit with everyone else. I enjoy checking this forum everyday to see what other people come up with and I definitely used some of the ideas of other people here to complete mine.

Thanks, Stroker

Here is a link to my locker at Midnight Racing Graphics if anyone on here uploads custom paint schemes for Nascar09. http://midnightracing.us/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1359

What is the blue elastic band for hooked up to the wheel? Does your butt get warm with the PS3 under the seat? Oh, did you actually spread your pedals apart or did you just want it exposed instead of being in the original case?

The bungee cord is what I use for resistance. Like I said, I play Nascar09 99%of the time and the force feedback is way to much on that game. It's very distracting and keeps you from turning really fast laps because your having to fight the wheel so much. So I just unplug the force feedback after the game has loaded and hook up the bungees strap. It gives me the resistance I need and allows me to be super smooth and now I'm even smoother with the 350mm steering wheel. The PS3 does put out some considerable heat, but I can't feel it in my arse, lol. It actually just heats up the room I have it in. It's ok in the winter, but it makes it hot in there during the summer months. The pedals are about the same length apart as they were in the stock G27 pedal case. I had to take them out of it because my pedal tray wasn't long enough to hold the stock pedal case, so I just mounted them on a piece of wood that would fit in the pedal tray.

Cant you turn down the ffb in nascar? It would be better than having to use those bungee cords surely?
All looking good other than that ;)
How you finding the paddles? I'm loving them.
And finally... How did you get the centre cap to fit?

Paul ;)

No unfortunately not. Nascar09 doesn't have any adjustment for the FFB. I race in a league where everyone is extremely fast and FFB is just to distracting. The bungee strap just keeps me really smooth and fast, and your right the bungee strap isn't pretty, but it really works! Yes, I'm digging the paddles also. Cheers to Chilicoke:cheers:. The center cap was probably about 1/32 of an inch to big so I just took some 180 grit sandpaper and worked on the edge of the horn button. It is plastic so it didn't take much sanding to make fit. I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Cool, I have two brand new BMW centre caps and was looking at how to do it.
I may try the sanding method ;), I've got spare horn/caps from the momo and my omp corsica.

I hope I get a reply to this. But how much did the WHOLE deal cost. Because I really wanna start working on mine and I almost want to mock what you have going on there. Maybe you could email me a blueprint, or even postal mail it too me. Also how much did you original cockpit cost? Where did you find it ( I can't find it anywhere on google)

Thanks,
Brad.
