Can we do something about these "Let's See You Do Better" posts?

It is getting rather annoying seeing so many responses to criticism (whether warranted or not) about the recently released feature list/car list/track list/whatever with posts along the lines of "I'm sure you could make a better game then" or "You don't know what it takes to make a video game" or my personal favorite (paraphrased) "why don't you go to college and take a game design course and make your own racing sim so we can criticize it."

I mean, I know that such a response is occasionally justified depending on what it is responding to. But I'm seeing it thrown around with such gusto that it is getting silly.

Well let's see you come up with an idea. Only joking there is no way to stop those people from saying that. I find it really annoying as well .

Its best if, in retort to their gusto, you have a geek (whether it be an actual programmer or just an overall tech geek) on your side whom you essentially sic him or her onto these morons. As long as it's the internet however, no matter how intelligent you are, no matter how witty, no matter how steadfast, stupidity (and all likenesses and relations to thereof) wins.

Why?

It's obnoxious and will not cease.

Just avoid those people and you'll be better off.

There's nothing we can or should do to stop people from voicing their opinions - so long as they are within the AUP, they're fine. If they are annoying you, then the only advice I can offer, I'm afraid, it is to stay out of such discussions. In all truthfulness, I find this sort of complaint to be completely frivolous. The GTP moderation staff simply cannot be expected to do even more work than we are already doing just to deal with petty quibbles like this.
