Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum although i've been playing Gran Turismo since day dot and grown up with the series (inc TT, which i couldn't get enough of), i'll be posting final tunes of my favourite GT5 cars just to keep record of them, hopefully they'll be useful to some of you guys.

Just a few notes for anyone wanting to use them...

I'm not someone who knows a great deal technically about tuning, but rather i go on 'feel', opting for a slight, controllable oversteer in most cars.

I also don't go for 'maxing' out the bhp in all cars, prefering to keep handling the priority, only upping the power if it doesn't turn it into a monster to control.

I'm not trying to put out the definitive tune, just my preference.

I only use a DualShock3, wheels take up too much room!

Anyway, i'll post my tune for the Honda Civic type-R '97 next, once i've managed to calm the bloody understeer enough!

Track used ----- Tsukuba
Best lap (of 5) - 0:54.150

After hating this initially from fighting with sports tyres, I've reached a point where it matches my lightly tuned f430 scud around Tsukuba, a sub 0:54 time will easily be possible but I only give myself 5 laps to get a time.

Hi HippoMelee, I have tried your Civic setup and I find it to be quite well packaged. However, I do notice the understeer especially on entry to turn in, its alright in mid corner but also understeeers in exit. Another thing to consider is the extension, in most tunes the extension should be 1 to 2 clicks stiffer than the compression. Damper settings should not be used to combat slip angles, the correct method should be to use either anti roll bars or adjust spring rate. Lastly, the ride height doesn't appear to have enough allowance for the suspension's travel, resulting in the suspension knocking. I discovered this when I drove over rumble pads with massive forcefeed back vibration.

Anyhow, good job to you mate!

I look forward to more tunes in the future.

I tried this tune and I didn't like it too much. Fully tuned, this car has a hard time keeping traction. I was sliding through corners and spinning my wheels when I hit the throttle to accelerate through turns which makes it burn through tires too fast. It's too light and too powerful and it shifts weight in the turns like a hot tub on wheels. I was also surprised you didn't monkey with the LSD at all and didn't put downforce to max - two things that would be a must for this car.

If anyone else can make this car sit tight on the track, I'm all ears.
