Help me with my GT5 Dilemma!

Ok, so I just now found out that the down-loadable cars are region locked, so I have a very big dilemma on my hands because for each disc I use, it re-creates a new save file.

I have a Japanese Version, which came with 5 Stealth cars.

I have a US Version, which came with the CE cars.

I have (soon) the Euro Version, which came with the 6 SE Stealth cars.

I already have Gold licenses for the US version, I have not touched the Japanese version much, and the Euro version is on the way soon so no progress yet at all on the Euro.

I need to choose which disc/profile to dedicate my time to, because for each Version I will have a new gamesave file, even though I am on the same PSN name and profile.

My real questions are:

Will I be able to race with my friends in the U.S. if I choose to use the Euro or Japanese versions?

Are there any pro's or con's you can think of besides DLC to using the Euro or Japanese versions?

I am really in a dilemma because I am going to spend ALOT of time on this game and I need to find a version to dedicate myself to. I am really leaning towards the Euro version with the 6 stealth cars, as long as it wont interfere with my online community of friends.

I wanted to upgrade my PS3 and decided to pick up the Blue Edition Japanese PS3 GT5 Bundle, which came with GT5 Japan, I bought the GT5 US version because I live here, and I got the Euro version because I wanted the Signature Edition (I am kind of a collector).

Now I will have three different versions of the game, but I will only dedicate time to one so I need to decide which one, it will probably be the Euro one but I need to make sure I can still have an active relationship with my friends in the U.S.
 
I would use the US version and gift the proprietary DL cars from the different region games to your self using another PSN ID login, maybe they won't be victimized by the region code. Remember only one per day :lol:
 
Hmmm, well I can't think of any reason why your online games with friends will be affected, I'm sure that's much more to do with your network type etc. As a euro signature edition owner myself I guess we seem to get alot of the coolest extras for some reason, the stealth cars being a case in point. That said, it might be best to stick with the version officially released where you are actually based as you can then be pretty certain you'll be able to take advantage of any future updates without trouble.

Obviously all guesswork on my part though.

I already tried, they are, when I login under my US name with the Japanese disc, it gives me all the cars, but I have a fresh profile. I can't use any of the cars with the US disc.

I have three PSN accounts, Japan, US, and Euro, but DLC downloaded from the stores is region locked, so any cool goodies you Euro guys get I can download and use here, as long as I am on the Euro disc.
 
I'd use just the US version, try and gift the cars from the other versions to your US account, and leave the other versions in the boxes

But you can still use Euro disk, be on your US account, and have access to all the Stealth cars, right?

I don’t quite understand, I am running my US region CE and I can log in to 2 different PSN ID’s, one at a time of course, and then I can gift cars from one log-in one to the other one. So are you telling us that when you stick the Japanese disk in it F’s your US version and then conforms your GT5 operating environment to a Japanese one?

You can't gift those cars, I tried on my first day with the cars..

Yea its a shame, I have the Chromeline for the US CE, and then I will have the Stealth cars for the Euro SE, now I have to choose which cars lol It may seem dumb to most people but I want Chromeline and Stealth! This is lame!
