Please, ensure you read and understand all requirements for this competition. Failure to
follow the rules may result in disqualification.
If you have any questions, please, send me a Private Message.

  • Be reminded that only the 30 best entries get into Classic poll style, 15 each side in H2H;
  • Do not vote on your entry;
  • Do not try to sway the poll;
  • Please, view each image in it's full size, before voting;
  • Poll will be up for 4 days;
  • In the event of a tie, a 1 day poll will be created;
  • During H2H weeks, don’t forget to vote on both polls;
  • Winners have 48h to submit they’re theme to the competition host (via P.M.);
  • If the winner can’t provide it in time, the runner up will get to choose it.

I don't get it.
for the 2nd week in a row, i make the 2.0, but not the basic.

Dang, didn't make it.... A few too many Celicas, me thinks. Oh well, good luck to those in the poll. Great stuff this week.

I can't say I agree with the line up - some of those I don't get, but I'm not in charge of that and I've voted based on what is there. That's half the fun of the competition though... seeing the personal tastes. One of them looks more like "what sums up drifting" instead of "rally", but again - eye of the beholder.

Better luck next week.

kind of disappointed my shot didn't make it but oh well, took it before i even knew of this competition,

I think you read more into the 'rules' than was there.

It was easy for me to pick out the best 5, but then it got tough! Some good pics.

That Citroen in the the rain.... I would swear it was a real photo if I saw it anywhere else.

Didn't make the cut this time. I'll keep tryin.

First week I haven't made it in. Never mind, maybe should have gone for a premium (wanted to be a bit different). Well done to all anyway!

Shame I didn't make it in, oh well time to get crackin' on this weeks emtries.

I want to say thanks to the organisers and competitors of these comps, they add a whole new gameplay element to an already awesome game. Cheers guys!👍

What happened to the guy with his old mitsubishi lancer with the crowds? that was an awesome photo :(

Yeah, I was wondering that too. I already thought I knew where my vote would end up. So yeah, the photo´s that made it are somewhat suprising, but can´t really argue with that, its the competition, the winner of the week before get to pick them and there its just a matter of tastes, can´t argue with that.

Too bad my (first) entry didnt make it, but well, was my first time and damn, the competition was tough, really didnt had any inspiration last week to come up with something really original and stunning.

But now that that Lancer didnt make it, it will be tough to select one, all deserved a place in here.

Where the bloody hell is my photo? Fk sake. I spend about an hour of my own time specifically composing a shot, only for some lazy arsed admin to decide himself in 3 seconds not to include it in the vote. Why the hell do we bother contributing to the site if this is the outcome? And how hard is it to pull your finger out and do the decent thing and include everybody who's made the effort to enter the competition. Pathetic site management by the one particular person who's running this side of things.

Read the rules first. It is specifically saying that only the best 30 (this week), in the eyes of the Judge, would get into poll.

If you don't agree with them, why bother participating?

It's not in the poll. The setup has always been that the theme chooser picks the Top X amount of images. No admin does it. Don't make assumptions on why your image wasn't chosen either; you have no idea how much time Atlop may have spent deciding, but seeing as how he's been around for years, I highly doubt it was 3 seconds.

Er, what?

Do you want a poll of 100 entries? Maybe even more, having to be split into 2 threads (like Week 1)? I just went and checked Week 1's first poll: 100 entries. Guess how many had 0 votes? 45. Almost half didn't even garner a single vote. I didn't even count how many had just 1. This method allows the person who picked the theme to pick the images that best represent it, in their personal opinion. Art is subjective, but it's their theme, their rules. Just as, surprise surprise, there would be disagreement if you were in the same spot as the week's judge.

Funny, you didn't have any issues with how the competitions are conducted before the poll. Having a shouty tantrum doesn't send the best message across either.

You enter a compettition to let us see your work and to enjoy it,then if you don't make it into the poll you watch the others and Learn somethings,these photos are judged by a professional .As for the poll results I have no ides how come people didn't vote on Some shots that are brilliant to be honest .

Fair point. My assumption was that the admin called all the shots. I take back my comment if that's the case.

You could argue the need to cut down the number of poll photos, I agree, but when my photo received a number of complimentary comments, you can understand why it's frustrating to see other, non-complimented, pics chosen over it.

Now you're just being silly and trying to patronise. You should be better than that.

I'm not going to make this into a big issue, as it's unimportant. It's just a photo competition. But you have to appreciate people venting their frustration at putting in the effort to keep these types of competitions popular (by entering and voting) only to see their efforts (and a very strong entry without being biased) just knocked aside.

Peace out.

*checks poll*
*crosses fingers*
please let me be in the poll please let me be in the poll please let me be in the poll. . . .
SWEET! IN POLL! GOAL ACCOMPLLISHED!
*checks off his own vote*
impreza ftw, mud ftw. rally FTW.
*checks poll results*
I wonder if I have any votes?

WTF! 3 Votes?! WIN!

I really didn't think that shot was good enough to make it, it was so dark. just getting voted for is awesomsauce.

Its kinda sad how I never made it onto both polls... :lol: (PMC & 2.0)
Oh well, might just as well keep trying or just stick to racing in GT5 only. No harm done... :)

Maybe I'll have a better chance once the GT5 scene calms down a bit and have less entries... ;)

-_-
the poll is up. . .
why would the comp be open?

seriously people. . .

not only that, but the entry is way too large as well.

I reckon some people may put themselves at a disadvantage if they post a small thumbnail. We should hope people will click on them to view them cause some of the small ones were good also.

Also can people Photoshop any filters and stuff onto their picture or does it have to be GT stock photos?

firstly, photobucket allows auto-image resizing when you upload. I myself manually resize all of my photos, and then use a clickable preview.

I also personally view each photo before voting, at least in the main topic, and sometimes the poll as well if I don't remember a shot. this poll I checked about 20 of the entries, and not just the ones that "stand out". I chcked both of the thumby sized entries, because I didn't recall them.

in the rules, it says that no post game editing should be done, and you'd be amazed at how perceptive these guys are. "getting away with it" wouldn't be easy at all.

example: in my entry, i felt that it was too dark. if I really wanted to, I could've tried to edit in some levels work to brighten it up a bit.
I have money on the fact that it woulda been caught.

This is why the rules are reposted every week :)

Oh no, I do understand; I've had it happen a few times, and it's doubly frustrating when, like you said, others take notice of your submitted image, because it means you're not alone in thinking it deserves it. But... it happens. I never got too bothered by it, probably because I've always seen the comps as more of a personal challenge anyways; I like the limitations of having a theme set for me, and trying to get the best image I can get out of it. Not really time wasted, in my opinion.

Now you're just being silly and trying to patronise. You should be better than that.

Eh, it's a valid point; if you have a problem with how they're run, you always have a problem with how they're run, not just when it inconveniences you. I do understand the frustration though; we've all been there, those of us who have been doing these for a while at any rate.

Yep. Infact, the rules stating absolutely no editing makes it quite easy to detect any post-game fiddling.

i feel that the voting public has great taste this week.

really voting for those photos that showcase what rally is all about.

in the top 5, we have:
an impreza, spraying mud and dirt everywhere
a celica, with a massive dust cloud behind it under heavy braking at night
a C4 on wet tarmac, on the edge of control
another C4, flying through the air after nailing a jump.

great feel for what we love about rally this week.
