Just received a CLK-LM Race Car '98 on a level 1000 ticket? but in my garage I now have both CLK-GTR Race Car #2 '98 now CLK-LM Race Car '98, WTF!

But I have never come across the CLK-LM anywhere on GT5 before, not even in the marketplace!!

Darn right mate.. I saw this post just as I was about to post about the CLK-LM.
I was about to buy the CLK-GTR in my UCD when the update just became live. So I was cursing and swearing because after the update, it changes the UCD and the CLK-GTR iI wanted was gone..
So wad the heck i just used my 1000ticket and got the CLK-LM too..
So a question.. do you now have the CLK-GTR AND the CLK-LM... or 2 CLK-LM??( because maybe the update changed the name of the CLK-GTR)

Well I now have both but only the CLK-LM with zero miles, so to compare the power stats would not be possible anyway as my CLK-GTR has over 1000 miles...
I have double checked and they look the same but do have different names!! IDK whats going on but I just duped the CLK-LM around 4 other accounts so I may have a busy day tomorrow on the trading side if I put it up for trade in the marketplace!!
I guess it could be an error with the new update, who knows..

Okay, so now you got both a CLK-GTR and a CLK-LM?
Just when I've thought the CLK-GTR was elusive, we have now a CLK-LM which is not in the GT5 official car list...

For how long depends on who's gonna trade it. I know I'm not, because I've almost collected all cars except for the CLK-GTR and EVO IV rally car and I want the CLK-LM to remain rare for as long as possible:tup:

Well I need someone with a Zero mile CLK-GTR to post the exact stats and I can then post the exact stats for the Zero mile CLK-LM, they both look the same which seems odd as the discription says the body was re designed for the CLK-LM..
Dimensions are the same,
Both have 5000cc engines,
Both look exactly the same,

No you don't get two different cars...in your garage your pre-purchased/obtained CLK-GTR is displayed as CLK-GTR but once you enter the showcase you'll see its name becomes CLK-LM.

So it just seems odd because obviousley the 2 cars are different, so why not just leave the name as it was??
Edit; Thinking about it I guess PD could have made a mistake buy calling it a CLK-GTR, when the car they put on the game from the start was in fact the CLK-LM, so they just corrected the mistake in this update..

But when they changed the name of the X1 into X2010, it also changed if it was already in your garage... This doesn't seem to have happened with the CLK, so it may in the end be 2 separate cars in your garage!
That's going to be a rare collector's item! Especially when it's no longer available from now on!

In the Garage it says its the CLK-GTR Race Car '98. BUT, when you go "show" the name up the top changes to CLK-LM Race Car '98. I took a video so

Okay its confirmed.
I just deleted my game data so that it will be v1.00 again and also because I wanted to get a CLK-GTR from the AMG intermediate events. After getting the CLK-GTR ticket( I did not use it), I updated the game to v1.06 and the ticket name changed from CLK-GTR to CLM-LM.

Btw its safe to do this just in case like me, you're yearning for a CLK-GTR in your Garage, it won't mess up your save file( at least it didn't mess mine up)
Edit: I got the CLK-GTR in my garage because i deleted the game data again to revert back to v1.00 and golded the AMG intermediate event again. I wonder if you gift the CLK-GTR to someone, will it appear as CLK-LM ticket? most probably YES.

If someone is up for an experiment PM me and we'll arrange a trade as i have a 0 mile GTR-CLK. We could post the results here. If it doesn't change the name when gifting then it's conceivable that it might be a valuable anomoly to some people.

Well not quite, it'll say CLK-GTR in garage overview but if you click on the car the name will have been changed to CLK-LM, it looks like PD only did half a job on the name change.
