]So after a close poll and lots of invitations to slug it out between the two car in this thread I've decided to make this race between these two arch rivals.

3 course made in the lobby. Trying to make it 15 minutes approximate with each one depending on length , surface etc.

These are the cars we will be using:
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR Premium Package '07

VS.

Subaru IMPREZA WRX STI (18inch BBS Wheel Option) '07

Cars will be completely stock and sport hard will be the tire limit​

Don't worry it's a premium. I picked 2005 and 2007 because they were able to be bought next time anyone plays for definite.
 
I suggested the ring and t.o. suggested Monaco. I'll let the current poll run it's course for a day or two and then have a poll of all suggested tracks. I'm thinking about a 45 minute long race

Points scrapped. Best of 3 format on all 3 surfaces


Cars will be stock with sport soft tires. If the poll says the 2005 model year, we will not be race modifying them.

Wahay! That insaneneivaines(whatever his name is) didn't realize that it was a public poll. Should have just added an option for 'potato'. That keeps people happy.
 
I know EVERYONE loves the ring. I like it too don't get me wrong, but personally I feel we'll get more fun out of these cars and the race with a track that keeps the action tighter. With the ring some cars can get out ahead and some so far back that a bunch of us could be driving by ourselves for the majority of the race. There is NO fun in that really. A track like Monaco, Nurn GP/F and even the Le Sarthe Buggatti circuit makes for great racing guys.

I think we could have this race and a few more if it works out and maybe save the Ring as the finale.

You are right, maybe we should do Daytona with boost on high to keep the action "tight". :)
 
Also the ring with boost on high can keep the action tight. Everyone also knows the ring thanks to the AMG challenges. Also tight racing on the Ring is extremely tight :P

But I'm off to bed now, and tomorrow I'll see what the race format will be. It's 3:45AM.. Good night :)
 
I know people are hesitant about my suggestion. I was too when I first started racing with the group I race with. They showed the season and track line up and I wanted all the big long tracks. I thought the shorter tracks would suck. Guess what, I couldn't have been more wrong. Some of the absolute best racing I ever had came on the shortest tracks. Just try it once guys. Believe me you will enjoy the hell outta of it. Especially with so many human racers on too. Put damage on real and it can get wild. Just give it a try people.
 
Laguna Seca would be a nice track with its long straights and tight corners Scooby and Evo territory if ever I saw it for close racing

p.s I may not be able to take part in a racing series but can make up numbers in random races with either car, I also move over for faster drivers within reason (if your not blasting past me like im stood still i'll defend though :D) and relinquish in corners if turning in will cause an accident so racing cleans not a problem
