A Solution to Scammers!

Okay, so heres how it goes:

1. People agree on trading cars and/or paint items.

2. One person selects a new trading room ( a new feature where both traders HAVE to put 1 car each in their slot).

3. They both hit either ready, or nevermind and there you go. No more scams.

Now if only Polyphony would implement such a feature so people wouldn't scam, or duplicate. 💡

Why anyone trades with a new member, or a member who doesn't contribute anything else and only posts in the marketplace, is beyond me.

It's still possible to get scammed. Think about it, you two are ready to trade, you send the cars, the car you want isn't the car you were wanting.

It's still possible to get scammed.

Well no because you'll be able to see the car you put up and the car the other person has put up before you agree to trade. Once you click trade, your car and the other car is frozen and both cars are only sent when the other person clicks trade, thus meaning no-one can switch cars at the last minute or anything like that.

Similar system to what's used in most MMOs, I believe. Both users have to input their items at the same time, and both have to agree to it before it's completed.

The problem is that GT doesn't actually have a "trade" feature. It's just a "gift" feature. So it's up to the users to be honest about it.

Pretty much the way it was in pokemon ( the old days) that will also prevent duping because if you load the back up with the car you sent you'll lose the one you received.

Is there really that much scamming going on?

I've done over 40 trades and I haven't got ripped off yet. The only time a car didn't go through was MY fault but it was a freebie so no harm/no foul.

The problem is that PD only included "gifting" instead of trading. Why they did this is beyond me.

Your solution is insanely simple (a compliment) and should've been in day 1. Or some sort of auction house ala forza. ..or both.

thank you for clarifying :D

good idea, only downside is it would require both people to be on at the same time and what with different time zones, work, sleep, etc, it could be hard for both to get online together.
