Ghost car causing crashes in GT Academy

So i decided to download the fastest lap into my ghost replay to get up to speed, did 1 lap following the car and as the ghost car hit the finish line my game froze... i thought this was a bit random so i turned off the PS3, then back on and reloaded the game. Again i loaded the ghost car, did a lap and at the end of the lap my game froze.


Is anybody else having this problem? i guess i'm going to have to do things the old fashioned way, with the ghostcar being broken.

It happened with me a while ago in offline practice.
And if i wathced the replay of that lap it would crash too.

Doesn't seem to matter if I'm watching a ghost.. I still crash!

It happened to me as well, always happens on the home straight for me. I used the fastest replay as ghost and followed the car round the track seeing how close I can get to it and it crashes towards the last part of the lap, so annoying. I wonder how long it will take to fix this.

I came on here to see if anyone else was having this problem. I initially thought it was my PS3 is going to die but once it happened a second time, I thought it is either game data or a problem with the challenge.

I got bad ghost syndrome before so I just load a different ghost and it fixed the problem or make one of my own fast ghost in the practice are and bring it in to the competition. Since this track probibly isn't in the practice area yet you might have to wait until a good ghost is stored on the server to DL that won't crash your game.

You could just turn off the ghost with arrow up..

this is just happening to me on the final corner, i loaded the latest time ghost the one 17'282 one but it crashed anyway gonna try different ghost now

Same here with a downloaded ghost. Very annoying...

And if I try to use a ghost that is already in my HDD from a former session, the game can't find it.

This. It only seems to be with certain ghosts for some bizzare reason. Mines just crashed with a specific ghost. I've restarted to see if it will crash again with the same one.

EDIT: After restarting and loading the same ghost car, it crashed again.

Thought I'd download a ghost to follow for a while got out of the last corner and ps3 just crashed. I downloaded the 2nd place ghost from the uk region.

I saved my fastest lap ghost from one day. Then the next day when I was playing I loaded in my ghost and I also get GT5 crashing - it seems to be when the ghost finishes that is crashes.
