yeah pretty much a perfect space... Below is a quick diagram of what the room looks like..

The plasma is mounted around 2 mtres from floor and this setup is less than 1 meter high..

so far looks great man... I built mine with alot of inspiration from chilicoke as well... you can check it out in my sig. I can't wait to see how yours turns out, looks great so far

So its nearly done.

Painted and awaiting carpet. I have also got some red suede and considering on wrapping the gearbox platform with it..

Also - What do people think of sticker bombing?? Just like the cars do, but on parts of the simulator... hmmmm :)

no trouble, im 6'4.. the top can be adjusted aswell ..
the wheel isnt too heavy, however, i havnt played the game with it as yet, could be a little too much for simulator use.. well have to wait and see

I only mentioned the wheel weight because of maybe over loading the G27 motor.

I know the original wheel rim is quite light.

Good work anyway.

Looks great so far, subscribed so I'll get to see the final product.

Did you get a new seat, or is that a red seat cover?

Doh! I was hoping it was a cover, as the faux leather of one of my seats is getting a bit old... And I'd like a red and black seat, not (off)white and black as I have today.

Some further updates... Made the table, then covered it in red suede.. Looks like ill be waiting a while for the carpet. I ordered it from Japan :( Left to do:

- Carpet
- Sticker Bombing
- Surround Sound and HDMI Splitter
- Handbrake Mod
- 32 or 37" LCD TV

Are you having problems locating reverse while using the clutch pedal?
If so you need to depress the clutch fully, then change gears, engage clutch again.
If you are a bit sloppy on the clutch you might have trouble getting it into gear.
While using the paddles the triangle button is the reverse.

Hopefully PD will include the posibility of mapping buttons for the G27 on the next patch.

Would be awsome to have the reverse, horn, rear view, high beam, handbrake, wipers on the 6 buttons on the G27 wheel.

PS: Awsome rig you built by the way!!

I think my problem is when i pulled it apart to solder the e brake mod, i didnt seat the gear stick in properly.. I will have to pull it apart and have a look..

Ive tried everything, dead stop, clutch in then down and right on the stick, just doesnt do nothing, goes into 6th lol

Parents are gone this Friday - Im taxing the 37" to see if i like it! :)

Carpet has been recieved - Just deciding on the handbrake mod and the surround sound

Thanks mate!

I have installed the surround sound, just debating on the tv at the moment, finding that the 22" monitor does a pretty good job atm.. But bigger is always better :)

Well, you put the shifter on the wrong side. There's your problem. :)

Nice looking build.
