Having reached 25% made Prof S.C.R.Oghes feel good about himself. A few months ago he didn't even have a license. He was a different man, even considered updating his wardrobe. "80's stonewashed jeans are still cheap enough" he said to the man in the mirror. Although he didn't have to worry about his clothes matching his choice of vehicle as he would soon enough have classics in his storage unit, he was surprised to catch himself talking about updating his clothes. "Strange feeling that one." he mused as he climbed on the LARAMIE truck he'd just won.

He looked in the brochures for the next thing to do. There wasn't many options so he decided to go back to the Test Gear Track and do the advanced challenge.
TOP GEAR TEST TRACK ADVANCED
The WWII cars were slow and getting hit on the side by one of them was an eye bulging experience. He quickly discovered that planting your foot firmly on the accelerator would cause the engine to overheat and shut off for a couple of seconds. He used this to his advantage when overtaking the last two cars. It took four attempts (DQ 3 times) though.
The prize was an XFR '10.
He thought he'd use a similar tactic on the beginner course and get a better result.

He checked his progress report: Level 20, 28% and 2,051.689 credits. He smiled.
"We need to talk" said the voice on the phone. He recognized her voice, cheerful and gentle. He could almost see her smile. "Bad news always start like that" he replied. "Well, it kind of is bad news. Let's meet for lunch.". They worked out a time and place. He was left wondering what was going on.
"I couldn't shoot THIS messenger!" he said with a smile as he sat down. She got there first which gave him a chance to look at her from the distance. It was a very nice looking messenger indeed. He could not help notice her dress had a bit of a throwback style. "I lost a bet at work and now I have to wear 70's clothes for two days" came a reply.
"You need to go back to school" she said with a cheeky smile. "But I am a pro..." "Driving school you silly" she interrupted him. "How's that?" he asked. "I had a look at the rules and I found something you may like" she said as she sipped some wine. "You can do quite a bit of the program without spending a dime." she added. He had thought about that a long time ago but it was nice to see her taking an interest. "Go on" he replied. "There are some prize cars that will let you participate in some events. But you have already done those licenses with only a bronze finish. So you didn't get those cars".
She was right. He knew that already but he was running out of races to do without having to spend money. Back to school it was. He thought about what to say next "Could I ask for your ongoing advice on this?" "Sure, here is my number. You can call me anytime"... It was a productive lunch, very productive...
He liked the Top Gear Test track so he went back there to redo one event.

S.C.R could not see what other races he could do with prize cars. There were the Vitz and the NA roadster races that he had cars for but he felt they were too underpowered to win. In the mean time he worked out that by getting all golds in the AMG Intermediate event he would win the CLK-LM race car that would hopefully allow him to win a few more races. So he set out to get it.

He had enough and needed a rest. He went back to the hotel and collapsed on the bed.
The next morning S.C.R was ready before the sun came up. He had not slept much going over and over the circuit in his head. He felt he knew where he was loosing time and could not wait to get back to the track.

He looked in the brochures for the next thing to do. There wasn't many options so he decided to go back to the Test Gear Track and do the advanced challenge.

The WWII cars were slow and getting hit on the side by one of them was an eye bulging experience. He quickly discovered that planting your foot firmly on the accelerator would cause the engine to overheat and shut off for a couple of seconds. He used this to his advantage when overtaking the last two cars. It took four attempts (DQ 3 times) though.
The prize was an XFR '10.
He thought he'd use a similar tactic on the beginner course and get a better result.

"We need to talk" said the voice on the phone. He recognized her voice, cheerful and gentle. He could almost see her smile. "Bad news always start like that" he replied. "Well, it kind of is bad news. Let's meet for lunch.". They worked out a time and place. He was left wondering what was going on.
"I couldn't shoot THIS messenger!" he said with a smile as he sat down. She got there first which gave him a chance to look at her from the distance. It was a very nice looking messenger indeed. He could not help notice her dress had a bit of a throwback style. "I lost a bet at work and now I have to wear 70's clothes for two days" came a reply.
"You need to go back to school" she said with a cheeky smile. "But I am a pro..." "Driving school you silly" she interrupted him. "How's that?" he asked. "I had a look at the rules and I found something you may like" she said as she sipped some wine. "You can do quite a bit of the program without spending a dime." she added. He had thought about that a long time ago but it was nice to see her taking an interest. "Go on" he replied. "There are some prize cars that will let you participate in some events. But you have already done those licenses with only a bronze finish. So you didn't get those cars".
She was right. He knew that already but he was running out of races to do without having to spend money. Back to school it was. He thought about what to say next "Could I ask for your ongoing advice on this?" "Sure, here is my number. You can call me anytime"... It was a productive lunch, very productive...
He liked the Top Gear Test track so he went back there to redo one event.

S.C.R could not see what other races he could do with prize cars. There were the Vitz and the NA roadster races that he had cars for but he felt they were too underpowered to win. In the mean time he worked out that by getting all golds in the AMG Intermediate event he would win the CLK-LM race car that would hopefully allow him to win a few more races. So he set out to get it.
