Lost All Cars? Look here

Hello, my friend lost his data during a save when the power went out. Needless to say he was pissed.

He asked me what do I do and I simply replied I don't know and then remembered....

game data can make stuff not function!

Some of you may know how to do this ala borrow glitching.

Warning, if you deleted your save when the incident happened, your screwed and have to start all over.

Step 1: Go to "BD GAME DATA" at the top of the game column on the XMB®

Step 2: Locate your Gran Turismo 5 Game Data and delete it.

Step 3: After that's done, Load GT5 and Download and install the patches and Installation data for faster loading again.

Step 4: When That's done, play GT5 and your game will be where it was before it messed up.

Warning #2: Your Videos (if not exported) and pictures (also if not exported) and Course Maker tracks and Racing Gear Being worn will disappear though.

Hopefully, this has helped you and will be Stickied

wow.. incredible find.. could have used this when my gt5 game and ps3 were stolen out of my house in early february... i had to start from scratch after buying a new ps3 and gt5 a couple weeks later... I wondered at the time if i could get my save info back after i logged back in on a different PSN ID and i could STILL see all my in game progress... I guess there WAS a way!... Wish i would have done that then to get my 98% game completetion back.

You deserve GTPremium! Great find for unfortunate souls who get deletions/curruptions/stolen games/game data.

So if you have a corrupt game save all you have to do is delete the game data and re download the patches, and your game save goes back to how it was?

This will not fix corrupt save games, but it will sort any corrupt game data problems out.

Its almost the same thing because you delete the game data and reinstall it.

Dude, he never said it had something to do with the borrowing glitch. Post that question in any other thread and it has the same reverence. If he posted in the borrowing glitch thread, then you have the right to question him. :dunce:

Your correct about this, but think about what you said.

When I tried the borrow glitch I wore a wrap helmet and foehn suit. When I finished, my suit was not there, just a horizon and double stripe suit. Now, where was my wrap/foehn outfit? NOWHERE. ITS GONE. HAVE TO EARN IT AGAIN. But if it helps, thanks for trying.

Jacnob's trying this. He hasn't replied back on what happened though.

However, if you friend wants to try it then tell him to backup the corrupted save (safety first) and then follow the directions.

Yeah, I know the risks of bumping. But the number of people losing their saves because of corruption has REALLY increased lately.
