Important notices:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all required replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Provisional" and will become "Official" once all posted replays have been verified. After 7 days, all drivers who fail to provide a requested replay will have their lap disqualified. (Beware: disqualification isn't taken lightly within the WRS.)
Drivers who do not have a submitted lap posted in the results are not to post any information related to a laptime they might have achieved in the results thread. Any such posts will have the times removed.

Replay Verification Requests:
This week we would like to see replays for all indicated results. All replays are to be posted here.

Congrats on the overall win Supersic (close call)

Unlucky Yanaran so close, you deserved it this week with all you're effort but it wasn't to be, but still an impressive 2nd overall:tup:

Congrats to all other division winners and podium placers:tup:

Thanks Plato, but I think the faster driver deserves it more. It took me days to beat his first 10 laps :)

Congrats SuperSic! 👍 I had one lap where I was one car length ahead coming in to the final turn but I went too tight and touched the inside curb. I really wanted to get a 1'53 but I couldn't do it again.

Congrats to Carlos on the D2 win, am I psychic or what? ;) Big D3 week also, good job everyone. And Nine_Hundred? More than a division above your handicap!

edit: Forgot to say I used the BMW. The Audi was much easier to get around cleanly but I could never get closer than 2-3 tenths behind.

My replay: (I'll ask Vagabond if he'll do a video of my old T1)

Well done everybody 👍

Hopefully I didn't cheat :nervous: I'm quite surprised with my time now... *goes to watch the replay again* I chose the BMW too, one of my favourite cars at the moment.

So yeah, it looked to good to be true. Had a turbo installed from whenever I first bought it. Should of probably checked when I was half way up the splits board :ouch:

Pretty annoyed, spent more time on this event than I usually do.

PAL replay to get flagged.

I'm very happy getting a win in my first ''official'' WRS week. I feel i deserve it very much, it was a very bad week for me,i was having pedal problems and only managed to ''almost'' fix it 2 hours before deadline. If you see my replay, you will notice my gas pedal wasn't always 100% :ouch:. So it's very satisfiying to end this week with a win.:)

I used the Audi, i only had that and didnt want to waste my 2 hours searching setups for the other 2 so i focused on it.

Congrats to all the podium winners and SuperSic for the overall gold in his first week. Yanaran definitely gave him a run for his money down the stretch... awesome drives and anxious to view the replays.

I guess I got murdered as much in T4 as I did in T2. @Lynx_Can if those splits on the board are right you must have run one heck of a T4... and with the stock tune??? Congratz on D3 Gold.

I'm very happy with bronze this week. 👍 I'm starting to feel like the "Mark Webber" of D3. The other drivers take turns beating me every week, but I usually squeak out a podium. Hey, I'm in it for the team title . (A big fan of Mark Webber so hopefully both of us can sit atop the podium before the year is out.)

Now how do we find out who ran what car? Is there going to be a ranking by car choice? I ran the Opel and didn't give the other cars quite enough time I'm thinking.

Replay attached. Warning: Dunlop and the final turn are ugly to watch, but somehow this still ended up being my best lap???

Thanks to Vaxen and Kevin for another great event this week. I really enjoy driving this track, but the three different cars that can all be tuned certainly added some desparation to proceedings.

Some truly amazing times at the top - well done to the D1 guys for showing their class.
Lynx-can and Marc (Hydro) really excelled this week in D3 but it was tight for the remaining places in D3 and that division continues to deliver great entertainment week after week - well done guys 👍

And D2 - WAHHHOOOOOO - my first ever division win in 20 attempts. Had a couple of seconds and a couple of thirds but it's certainly nice to take the top step at last. Thanks to Joao and Ash for not going too fast :sly:

After running 350km in the Opel, which I thought would be quicker as it had the best power to weight ratio, I switched to the BMW (a favourite of mine from GT4) and went quicker instantly, covering a further 297km. I went back to the Opel once but it wasn't working for me - felt like the Opel and Audi were under-tyred compared to the BMW. Will be interesting to see what everyone else used.

bmwm3gtr.jpg

Very happy with my lap. Sector one was scruffy between turns 2 and 3 as I was on cold tyres and got too much wheelspin. Tried not to correct the car too much and just let it go where it wanted and the line wasn't too bad into 3. Too much wheelspin in turn 4 exit as well, so probably dropped 0.05 to 0.1 in that sector. Sector 2 was good. Sector 3 was my best for the week although I could have carried a couple of kms more through the Kumho-kurve and I was probably a shade hesitant into the chicane at the end, but otherwise I have no idea how to go any faster

1000px-N%C3%BCrburgring_-_Grand-Prix_Stecke.svg.png

And here's my PAL region replay. Thanks in advance to whomever checks it - should be easy for you 👍

My splits were:
T1 - 35.822
T2 - 26.035
T3 - 27.218
T4 - 26.243

Got my fastest for each sector for the whole week in this lap, apart from T2 where I dropped 0.004  Happy to post my set-up if anyone is interested.

Faulty gas pedal, that makes you're lap sound even more impressive, congrats again on the overall win in you're first official WRS event 👍

The podium places seem to have been very closely fought. Congratulations to all well deserved division winners :).

I'm still amazed how fast everyone was in T1, I await replays/youtube videos to see where I was going wrong.

So is it the consensus that the Opel was the slowest despite it being the best on paper? (With the power/weight ratio)

I felt the Audi to be slowest, but I don't think that there was much between the two. The BMW was clearly quicker of the three for me.

I found the Audi and BMW very close, but time and this event were not on my side at the right time for this one.
Great laps up top, looks like Yanaran has gone full-blown alien on us now. 👍

@Lynx_Can if those splits on the board are right you must have run one heck of a T4... and with the stock tune??? Congratz on D3 Gold.

Thank you. Congratulations too.

Yeah, the splits on the board are the splits from my final time. I guess I got lucky through the T4 chicane. :sly: I'd been loosing a lot of time there. I finally figured short shifting to 3rd after your bounce helps a lot.

I've checked the replay over and over again to make sure that I'm on the Rumble Strips and as far as I can tell, I am. :scared:

I used the Opel. I maxed out the Aero Adjustment and set the ride height to -8 front - 2 at the back. Everything else remained the same. Actually I might have played about with the ABS a little but i can't remember for that particular lap.

Fun combo. Looks like the BMW was the quickest car? I only ran about 15 laps in it. Got fed up of having to watch the back end around all those tight corners. My tuning skills are non existent! Suppose I had better start having a browse through the guides in the tuning forum. :ouch:

P.S My replay is PAL region.

I've updated the first post with the car used for those who sent me a PM or posted their car used in the thread. A really nice mixture, with the Audi taking the overall win, and the BMW and Opel being used by many more drivers. I'm very pleased with the mix of cars used, normally there's a clear favorite, but that doesn't seem to be the case this week.

Great week everyone 👍

Congratulations to SuperSic , first event, first win. Nice.
And to all podium winners. Great runs.

Jon... Congratulations on your D2 win! 👍 Good call on using the German one, I should have listened better :(

I started with the BMW, flipflopped back and forth with the Opel, then just ran the Audi for the most part.
The Audi won on logic before the first lap to be honest. It was the middle car for power and weight, and was always the middle car in my garage. I'm Div. 3 Silver...how's that for WRS logic? :)

Really wanted the BMW to work out, it sounds the best by far to me :D

And Lynx... congratulations you sneaky little .. well.. Lynx  You must have nailed that last chicane like nobody's business! I lost the tail a bit in the last corner, but I would never have caught you anyway. If you ran that stock, I'm throwing away my PS3
Great Win esp. for such a big D3 turnout

👍 Kev! This was a bigger blast than usual.

The handicaps seem a bit harsh this week. Yanaran runs almost a 1'54 flat and has a 1.5... I guess the math & distributions don't lie, but I sure would like to see a video of someone running a 1'53.2 (to get under a 1.0). Maybe supersic with a functional pedal... he'd definitely get arrested running that fast.

Prima corsa, prima vincita. First race, first win. Well done SuperSic and the other D1 guys, all in the low 1'54s!

Congrats to Carlos on his first D2 win and to Lynx_Can on topping a big field of D3ers with a D2 gold time! Good job Hydro and WRP001 on getting on the podium again this week :)

Congrats to all podium finishers 👍

I have a feeling we both said the exact same thing on the final corner. 🤬! To get that close, and lose the tail on the last turn.. I understand all too well, as you'll see in my replay
Dunlop was your undoing though, almost looks like you changed your mind at the last second before the turn in.
I think your Opel setup looked more stable than the Audi I ran with.

First week running in WRS and it was a blast. Definetly brought new life to GT5. I ran the BWM, I'm not great at tunning just yet but I will get there some day with the help of all the awesome people here 👍

Carlos you rocked this week. To say you deserve the D2 win is a huge understatement running that close to your ultimate best personally. Way to go.:)👍

So many drivers drove so awesome this TT. Congragulations to all of you as well. Carlos just shines like a beacon of awesomness to me right now so brightly I can hardly see the rest of you is all.:)

Still not sure how the handicapped results work but I'll gladly take the third place!! Prefere not to look at the handicapped results and look at the true times but still happy with 4th in D3, there was .4 to be had but I ran out of time.
Anyway here is my PAL replay:

Nice lap, a pleasure to watch and no close calls at all.

I have to say my scare on the final corner was better than yours  I did see you wiggle a little, but I practically needed the entire track to save it and I basically kept the hammer down too 👍

Having said that, it's the only thing on the lap where I had the advantage. Yours was the much prettier lap and much prettier car! Having quickly look at analyzer, you beat me heavily on just about every braking zone with a later brake and about the same exit speed. And also beat me anywhere that required fine throttle control.

I really got faster laps later in the week by focusing on hitting the apexes and making sure I got on the power as fast as possible, which is good, but I think I went to brake just a bit too early and consistently prolonged the braking zone. Due to that I think I had a speed advantage on a few of the long straights (including the initial straight, schumacher and final long straight before chicane), but the advantage was so slight it didn't make up for my extended slower entries. It's hard to say for sure as we used different cars. In any case you smashed my lap by almost 0.7 so it's clear who put on a better performance this week. Great job!

Oh, and approaching Dunlop I glanced in my mirror, saw the ghost way behind and missed my braking zone a bit and went into save mode (which I had quite a lot of practice in this week). All in all I think I had a pretty good save and managed to get out of the corner with good speed at least, but it felt like it took forever to come around. Wish I could have that section back and do it over.

Well Done to all the division winners especially Carlos.👍 I was fast enough to win this week but kept on making mistakes, it should be obvious to whoever views my replay exactly why I didn't deliver the lap time that I should have done.:ouch:

Congrats to all podiums.

Those D1 guys where in a league of there own this week. There is a huge gap of over a second between w-g-e (3rd in D1) and Carlos (winner of D2). I don’t think we’ve seen that before.

To be fair, I'm normally around a second off the D1 winner, but the gap is typically filled with other D1 drivers (and usually two or three D2 drivers as well)

 thanks Jack...I think?
