Don't worry about me not making the poll, I know why I didn't make it. Great looking poll. There are a few that feel quite dark but hey, it's the judges choice, not mine.

I wasn't so keen on your shot. It was a great shot, but would you look at the competition? I'm having a bit of a problem with your signature, it does kinda take up a bit too much place. :indiff:

Your shot was good, it ticked all the boxes, but there were other photos that did that too. In the end I got the photos down to about 30 and the final 10 photos I cut were purely subjective.

Amazing poll this week

Again one of the final photos to be cut, my only criticism is the 'patchy/texturised effect' on the road (looks a bit like camera noise). I'm not too sure how to describe it, but it didn't really add anything for me.

... this time i didn´t bothered too much because all the others did an amazing job , usually the competetion goes up on monday i try to post my first try on wednesday latest , and then i wait 2-3 days and see what the others have done so faar, if i believe i can keep up with the skill level i post another shot but if its way out of my league like this week i just dont bother anymore , thats why iam really suprised .

For the person who criticized my signature. It doesn't really take up too much. As for composition and lighting it's a better choice than at least two of the entries picked in the poll above. I know this because I'm a photographer I do this IRL not just on GT5. I only decided to do it because it looked so much fun and there is so much talent here on the boards. But clearly a couple of photos in the poll were picked without any regard to exposure or composition basics.

So you'd forgive me if I seemed a bit surprised at this poll. Many great shots up there, but not all of them. Good luck to everyone this week.

Well as I said before, from a technical view point I can't really fault your photo, however subjectively I can. There's a bit of red tinge around braking markers, and the tunnel in GT5 isn't particularly well rendered. And also I think you'd forgive me for not being an expert; I do these comps as a hobby and photography certainly isn't my forte in life.

Erm... good to know you think your own entry is great and at least better than 2 or 3 other pics. But, fact is that someone else can have another opinion about that. Sometimes you make it to the poll, sometimes you don't make it. That depends on the quality of your shot and the way it is perceived by the judge. So ofcourse these competitions are down to personal taste and preference. That statement is like concluding the Pope's a catholic. I checked your website and I think you make some very nice car-shots, so there's no doubt you'll make the poll another time.
