Can you get super-soft tires because I saw all the bspec drivers using it.

What the?!!?

What race was this in, I've never seen "super softs" before and unless it was in 2.0 then I've never bought them.

It's a one of those hidden secret!!! You sir, may have just discovered something coming in the near future. Possible future DLC? If I may speculate.

Looks like they may be bringing back Super tires from GT2. :D

An answer to the title, no. You can't

I thought you could get them in GT4 but a quick peek in the GT5 tuning shop just now says no...Nice find though.

Why would LMP cars be on sports tires? :P

Hope this becomes available in a future update though :D

You mean DLC? Spec 2 probably just put them in, they're just not unlocked yet. ;) We're looking at 'em aren't we? So possible tires pack... wow that sounds like a waste of money. Maybe they'll bring other interesting features from the older games.

They probably won't make us buy tires with real money in a DLC it'll probably be in an update

DLC stands for downloadeable content. Its not always nesceserry to pay for it. Spec 2.0 is free DLC from my point of view. So if we get extra tires for free I wouldnt care.

But if it were paid DLC it would put a lot of serious racers on a disadvantage. That is something i dont like.

I see your point. Also, I've always seen DLC as content available by the store, price or free. The updates... I classify as updates and not free DLC or DLC at all.

I just want Racing: Super Hard

Wouldn't that be practically the same as Super Soft though? If they were to introduce a Super Hard and Super Soft to Comforts, Sports, and Racing. They would have to re-make the tire grip and texture, and endurance all over again. I would imagine.

Nope, like people have already said, I reckon it'll be an update as I don't think PD would makes us pay for tires.

Then again we did have to pay for paints...

Just kidding, it looks legit. Why sports though? I remember super softs and super hards in previous GTs, but they were racing tires, weren't they?

true that and it also says in the regulations 'min. Racing Hards'

To be quite honest I'd like a selection of rain tires rather than more standard tire compounds. Exiting stuff though. 👍

A few questions?
What Car are you using (I'm using Audi R10 and a McLaren F1 GTR as a test)
What lap/time was it when you saw this?
What tires are you using?
What level and how much EXP do your B-spec drivers have?
How many B-spec drivers are you using?
What is the weather like at the track when you saw the super-softs?
I've run:

100% dry conditions in a premium LMP car (Audi R10) B-spec 24 hr LeMans lap 1 w/1bob
Racing Softs,, all other cars are using Racing med..
Racing Medium,, all other cars are using Racing med..
Racing Hard,, all other cars are using Racing med..
Racing Rain,, all other cars are using Racing med..
Racing Intm.,, all other cars are using Racing med..
Racing hard/Racing rain,, all others using Racing med..

100% dry conditions in a standard LMP car (BMW McLaren F1 GTR) B-spec 24 hr LeMans lap 1 w/1bob
Same results as above

So far I haven't seen a single sports tire, or even a super-soft for that matter....

100% wet conditions in a standard LMP car (BMW McLaren F1 GTR) B-spec 24 hr LeMans lap 1 w/1bob
Same results as above except using rain tires.

See a pattern?

Still no sports tires. It may be that the other cars need to pit, or that I haven't driven enough laps, wrong type of car, wrong BOBs or not enough BOBs, or its just BS.
It may also be a non GT5 screen shot, F1 series looks similar

100% dry conditions in a fantasy premium LMP car (Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car) B-spec 24 hr LeMans lap 1 w/3 bobs
Same results as above

So do you think that the pic was photoshopped? Btw your tests doesn't really prove anything, it may just be a very rare event.

My tests are a base line. A control in an experiment. I asked the OP a few questions to see how this appeared for him. I'll be completely honest, I think NO.
