Is it still considered a Porsche is it officially one of those tuner cars? I suppose that's the question that'll determine whether or not it can be in a GT game.
But I think Viper Green looks much better on oh, say... a Viper!
I think Orange, yellow, red, or black would suit this car quite well!

I honestly don't think they would pick a car knowing they couldn't get it into the game. Got to be a way around it, maybe because it's an older model.

It's only won one catergory, not the best in show GT award which will decide the car that goes into the game.
Even if it does win the best in show they don't have to put it in the game, it all depends on licenses.

Found another Category winner! Apparently a member over at the Playstation blog ran into Jordan and they both agreed that this Mustang is pretty damn nice.
Here it is.
I love the idea of finally having a non-Shelby early model Mustang in the game... and this car certainly doesn't disappoint! But I have to say that the wing is kind of tacky... :s
Also, do we really want to have a three-year pony car resto-mod sweep?

I'm still trying to dig up more information from the web, but everyone's either talking about that Mustang or talking about the Porsche.
I found this post that is extremely frustrating since the author specifically mentions seeing all of the finalists... but only talks about the Porsche and the 'Stang. *Sigh*

a) That Porsche looks great, its just a pity the modders didn't flush fit the body kit to the original body. Kind of lets it down. Get Chip Foose in there, he'll show them how to do it properly!
b) That Mustang is revolting with that rear wing. It's completely out of character with the rest of the car.

We've been wondering this for years - what happens if a Porsche wins the GT Award at SEMA. I guess we'll find out soon.
It is, however, worth noting how GT treats the SEMA winners in game...

That doesn't mean that they haven't had to acquire licenses from the base manufacturer though.

So far they've already had licenses to all the names of the base cars which won the Award, or at least other cars from the base manufacturer were in included, and except in the case of the Buick, even the base car was featured.
Can't remember the last time the Porsche name was used, though. They don't have to per se, but then RUF cars don't have the Porsche badge on them like the Rauh Welt does. A RUF is a RUF - a Rauh Welt Porsche is still a Porsche.

Indeed not - though two of the manufacturers don't have the appropriate base car in the game.
The 1970 Mustang Fastback isn't in the game either - just the Mach 1.
They've used the Porsche name repeatedly in GT3, GT4 and GT5 - in the descriptions for Ruf
As I mentioned, some of us have been wondering what would happen if this occurred for a number of years. We get to find out now - though I'd quite like the 1969 Camaro from last year added first.
