Both of these cars were in the OCD a few weeks back.
So I'm fairly sure that you can be fixed up with the cars in short order if need be! :D

Put me down as a maybe for the 9:00PM event. I usually can't get on that early but I'll try.

You have permission to arrive late for qualifying. (which should take til quarter past - in other words, Race #1 will likely not start before quarter past the hour)
In your case I think everyone (especially who has raced with you) would agree to make an exception and allow you squarely into division 1 even with missing qualifying.
Those of us who will be in division 2 don't want you with us!!! :sly:
(Speaking only for myself of course. :guilty: hee hee)

I'm still hunting for the RX-7, but I have a reasonably high-mileage Skyline.

Probably do both, but subject to usual inability to commit. Yes, I have commitment issues.

In this "day & age", we all have commitment issues.
It's gt5 racing, nobody's counting on you to help them move a piano. ha ha ha
Will erasable-pen you in. ;)

Does anyone have a spare RX-7? I need to "wait" over 800 game days before one will turn up in my game....

I can send one as long as watermelon doesn't mind me falling behind in my vintage mix sending schedule!

No need to send it to me today Jack. I have checked my other account and it would seem I only need to wait 30 or so days, so I shall go do some cycling later on once the Bobs on that account have accumulated some cash :D

Edit: I have both cars now! Colours TBD.

Okay, Race procedures below (and in OP)

If you have any questions or need any clarification, please let me know!

Race Procedure:

Participants expected to arrive at or before scheduled arrival time.

Qualifying:
  • @ Nürburgring GP/D
  • ALL racers in Mazda SAVANNA RX-7 GT-Limited (FC) '85
  • Race director enters track first (to allow for monitor afterward)

Race Start Rule:
Upon race start, cars will line up in single file & stay in grid order
through Turn #1 (right) and Turn #2 (left).
Full speed coming out of turn #2 (left) onto the straight between Turn #2 & #3

Race #1
3 laps @ Nürburgring 24hrs
Division 1: SKYLINE HT 2000 Turbo RS (R30) '83
Division 2: SAVANNA RX-7 GT-Limited (FC) '85

5 minute break
For switching cars & personal pit stop

Race #2
3 laps @ Nürburgring 24hrs
Division 1: SAVANNA RX-7 GT-Limited (FC) '85
Division 2: SKYLINE HT 2000 Turbo RS (R30) '83

Race Results will be based upon divisions! 👍

Rules:
GTP OLR Rules

please familiarize yourself with these rules prior to event

This is to prevent any mixed model standing start discrepancies, and so there's no incidents in the bottleneck that generally happens between Turn #1 & #2.
And so there won't be any bumper boats there so nobody will be saying later, "he started it". :sly:

These races are 45 miles each, so I don't think this will adversely effect anyone's performance.

Sorry Melon and other listed drivers, I need to back out for Monday. Just too much other stuff needs to get done. Thanks.

I'm sure all the good people of the VCRC will follow the rules as they always do:scared:, to the letter of course, but just in case someone didn't get the memo, what's the penalty for jumping the start order before turn 2? :grumpy:

Was there a memo? :scared:
You & cc570 are the lead stewards for these events... I think you should make the memos.  :sly:

I think Miata_1 got a 30 second penalty in a WSCC race at Monte Carlo last year for :dopey: accidentally & unwittingly jumping line on Cobrius in a warm up lap in RM Golfs. :ouch: He still mentions the incident with regret whenever he sees Cobrius in a race. :guilty:
That 30 second penalty put him down 2 positions. :scared:
And he still blames me, as the spectator, for not mentioning that Cobrius was along side him and qualified ahead of him. :guilty:

So 30 seconds was long enough so he remembers it months later.
But it apparently wasn't long enough of a penalty to get him to be sure to really pay attention to his position in the grid order & the leaderboard!

So I say 60 seconds should do the trick. 💡

Can I sign up for the Tuesday event Melon:tup:

Have to go and look to see if I have the cars:)

Can someone help me with the cars, I haven't got them:guilty:

Thanks at least I know this track:tup:

@ John Wells - I will check to see if I have spares of either of them.
Please send FR a.s.a.p. to PSN: amoreenabooboo (since that's likely where I have one if I do).

Does anyone else have a spare for John?

(Other than jackargent who unfortunately is booked up on car gifting for the next few days for the Vintage Mixer car acquisitions.)
