What's this?
A Secret Santa is usually the secret exchange of gifts from an anonymous person. Obviously there is no way for you to secretly send a car to someone on Gran Turismo 5, so we do the next best thing! By signing up, you are entering your self into a car exchange on Gran Turismo 5. You will be matched with two people, receiving a car from one, and gifting to the other. You won't find out who your partner is, until 5 days before Christmas (December 20th).
What should I send?
It may be hard to send a car that your partner has yet to acquire, so sending a "rare" may not be the best thing to do, although still a great idea! Sending a car, in Christmas Colours (Red+Green) or an obscene automobile. You can ask your partner for a few ideas if you wish! You can also send other things such as tickets and paint etc. keep in mind there are value limits in effect, set by Polyphony Digital. Cars with a value greater then 1,000,000cr are prohibited to be sent. (950,000cr)
How do I sign up?
This was the biggest problem with last years Secret Santa.. Please, when signing up, look for the latest post. From there, copy the most recent list, paste it in the "make post" section, and add your name to the bottom of the list. Be sure to include your number on the list, alongside your GTPlanet Username and PSN username. These are musts. Please do not sign up if you are going to forget, or abandon the idea. Remember, this is a Christmas event and if you forget to follow through with your sign up, some one is left without a gift come Christmas morning. That's no good.
This year will be even better than the first, as we will have more features as well as special Secret Santa events.
Last year 150 people signed up to send/receive a gift car on Gran Turismo 5, and I would love to see that number increase for this years rendition.
I've been genuinely excited to get this up and going since last January, and the time has finally come for me to bring this Epic - once a year event back to the forums. Hope to see you on the list.
