G'day GTP chaps and chappettes. This is nothing more or less than a tribute and minor showcase for a car that I have recently become most enamored of in my little fantasy GT world - the 1969 Toyota 2000GT.
The fact that this is a Standard car notwithstanding, I can honestly say its my current favourite car to just take for a spin as well as use in as many seasonal events as I can tune it for. What a gem of a drive - with a full tune (Stage 3 and all extras) and Sports Hard tyres, the drive is sublime, making any track a joy of testing the balance on the edge of traction... and with only the Sports Exhaust fitted, the 6 cylinder burble is one of the better engine sounds that GT5 can boast.
Its a shame this car never made it to full production, given its thoroughbred Grand Tourer styling... a design that even in Standard mode in GT, still looks quite dashing (to my somewhat middle-aged eyes anyway ).
Here's a little video tribute I made for it. Unfortunately, given my choice of soundtrack, the video may not be available in some countries or on mobile devices (copyright YouTube thingy)
Best in 720p. I'll put a Mediafire link for the vid later on if anyone wants to download it in better quality...
I will also send out a few (gifted) 2000GTs in DLC chrome paint and my setup over this next week as well if anyone is interested. The setup I use is at the end of the video as well though if you want to try it. I'll shut up now... enjoy... if you want.
