Yes, this car is far from green with "Very Fast". However a one stop is possible for fuel as you can do 10 laps on a single tank (9 laps + 1 formation). The consumption rate is about 9.5L per lap on Very Fast. This fact was vital in the admins deciding on "Very Fast" in the regs as it still allows a variation in strategy (1 or 2 stops are both feasible strategies -- not sure which is "faster" yet). It's not easy to pass at GP/F so without some variation in strategy the race wouldn't be as engaging as some.
It also still allows for some variation with a pit strategy... 2 stoppers have a few lap window for each of their stops plus variation in the amount of fuel to add in each of those stops. One stoppers have less flexibility, but do have a 2 lap window to pit for fuel since the car will go 10 laps. 9+1 | 9 or 8+1 | 10. If you try to pit on 7+1 you won't be able to put in enough fuel to make it until the end... unless you manage to save gobs of fuel somehow!
Lower BB settings and ABS 10 can help save tires a bit... but more important is how you approach each corner and throttle control on exit. I saw the rears wearing faster during testing which means throttle control on exit could likely be the most important thing to focus on if you are trying to extend tire life -- and avoiding too many crazy slides. The car is very drive-able after 9 race laps, but pace naturally slows... it's not one of those combos where the car falls off a cliff and gets crazy. However, if you completely abuse the tires and beat them to a pulp a 1 stop strategy could be a disaster.
Should be a fun race.
