Watching the N24 live stream, you can barely watch 10 seconds of racing without seeing a Gran Turismo billboard or windscreen sticker. I know they have sponsored N24 numerous times in the past, but as usual I'm hoping that their sponsorship will extend to getting hold of the full SP9 class (which are homolgated FIA GT3 spec) for Gran Turismo 6 :)

^ What he said! But don't hold back, PD, get every league you can, and make a couple dozen cars for each! Most of those would be team liveries anyway. And beef up what you can't get with some fantasy stuff like Formula GT. I'm fine with that. Just vary the liveries to be more real to life.

In terms of cars, it's possible (excluding Porsche), PD is only missing Aston, McLaren and the BMW Z4.

To get all the teams/liveries, that would need a big effort. IMO, I'd rather have a livery editor and have PD focus on getting official skins from other series.

The game needs more European race cars (premium level that is). Super GT cars are awesome but having only them, makes things a bit limited. A Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 like the Hankook Farnbacher one that raced on the Nürburgring 24 Hours would be great. A BMW M3 GT2, an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 or a DBR9 would also be a very welcome addition, as would be a Lamborghini Gallardo LP-560 GT3.

You get the idea. More race-car variety from Europe and also a bit more from the US. Something from other countries to challenge those JGTC GT-Rs, HSVs and SC430s.

Great to see the R8 LMS in style and, as other poster have said: great looking physics.

Just wait for the Toyota TS030 for le mans! Or an Audi R18 E-Tron, doesn't really matter.

Or both...

I believe AMR are a seperate license from Aston Martin though?
License is no problem in case of Aston Martin. GT does already have Aston Martins, they'll even bring more of them for GT6.

I've heard this as well, but it's about time PD took their finger out and get AMR into the game (DBR9, Aston DBR1-2, Vantage GTE, Vantage GT3, etc.).

There's only 1 car/1 livery from the last 5 seasons of Super GT. Super GT content in GT5 was very limited.

ALMS GTE perhaps? The thought of those things going head to head with Nurb 24/Gt3 cars seems very exciting indeed. Otherwise, how about the Camaro GT3 or GT.R? We already have the Corvette GT3. (Z06 RM if anyone's interested).
Nice vid otherwise!

I'm a doofus and didn't read all the thread before posting like a smart-ass. My apologies.

Great find op! Please Kaz, give us a full, lifelike VLN racing field so we can race the 24 Hours of Nürburgring like they're meant to be and not in a weird mix of STANDARD LMP cars.

Point out we had the P4/5 modelled a while back...

Someone also point out the VLN Falken Skyline GTR there as well ;)

Yes. The GTE class (former GT2 class) cars were the ones I was referring to. I would like to see more of those and, if possible, a few GT1 class cars. ALMS, LMS, FIA WEC, they should bring some of the cars from those series, if they can.

lool das video geht ja rum wie ein laubfeuer (-:

Hello i upload this video and i want to upload tomorrow more videos from the bilstein r8

ps: sorry for my bad english

Thing is though, PD got the DB9 and V12 Vantage licensed from Aston Martin, whereas the Vantage GT3 is under the Aston Martin Racing License (as was seen with Shift 2). Aston Martin and AMR are two separate licenses.

I don't think AMR gave exclusive rights to any publishers yet.

I know they haven't (at far as I'm aware anyway), I bought up Shift 2 as an example of the Road cars and Race Cars being under different licenses with Aston Martin.

oh thank you for the information. but when I uploaded the trailer on Wednesday it has hardly 5 minutes until it has been cleared

oh danke für die information. aber als ich am mittwoch den trailer hochgeladen habe hat es kaum 5 minuten bis es gelöscht wurde

Indeed, but sticking your finger in many pies won't make anything great. I'd rather have full grids from few classes/series than partial grids from many classes/series. I don't want racing that looks like this:

A livery editor helps fix some of the problem, but the 2010 Weider HSV is the only car in GT5 that is built to 2010 GT500 specs, so it would be spec racing. It has nothing to race against. IMO, I want to see a full/near-full recent GT500 grid more than having a few GT cars from various classes.

Thank you for the upload! 👍

Actually, the HSV-010 is from 2011, while the majority of the GT500 cars are from 2008. When I ran my online Super GT championship, we didn't have a problem with partial grid of a class with as there were plenty of cars to choose from.

I stand corrected. But the point stands, the 2008 GTRs and Sc430s are terribly balanced among themselves, nevermind being balanced with a car from 3 years later. Super GT is terribly done in GT5.

You made do with what you had to work with, that's fine. But, strictly speaking, it isn't realistic, it's not a simulation. 2006 GT500 cars don't race with 2008 GT500 cars in reality (in Super GT) for obvious reasons. Additionally, GT500 regulations change (sometimes only slightly) every year. Though the speed of Gt500 machines has remained roughly the same over the last half dozen years, they get slightly faster or slightly slower year-to-year. But during a single season, the three makes (Nissan, Lexus, Honda) are roughly equal, varying slightly from track to track. It makes so much more sense to have cars from the same year, and it shouldn't be that hard to do.

Take 2013 for example. There's 3 cars and 15 skins that would need to be modeled. Ignore the tire differences and the lack of aero updates for certain teams (which PD should do), and you've got a grid of 15 cars naturally balanced cars to race with one another AND it's realistic, so you can simulate races.

As far as I now people weren't allowed to upload anything till 5pm or even friday.

Several gameplay videos from silverstone got uploaded and they didn't get deleted. And since the 24h gameplay was shown in TV it wouldn't make sense, thousands of people saw it anyway. It's meant to be seen by the public.

If that is your preference, I respect that. However, for me, the Gran Turismo games should not be about a specific racing series, but rather about mixing just the best of all series together on the same track with grids full of variety. Having cars which normally don't race each other jostling for position as they try to make the most of their strengths while minimizing their weaknesses. Super GT vs DTM vs GT1 vs GTE vs GT3 all racing together in awesome multi-class competition. That's an even more exciting grid than just Super GT on it's own, in my opinion.

DTM and Super GT cars would go toe-to-toe because of their similarities in design philosophy. GT1 cars would challenge Super GTs with their superior horsepower and top speed, while having to defend on the corners due to the Super GTs' better downforce. GT3 and GT300 cars would race closely, with the GTE cars being slower than the GT500s but faster than the GT300s.

I apologize. I extended myself too much. I just wanted to say that in Gran Turismo, there should just be a universal GT category with lots of variety in it.

I understand. It's a different philosophy, and I respect that. 👍

Oh no no no! As an avid single player offline racer, I want PD to come up with enough cars and liveries to flesh out series and championships from as many racing leagues and teams as SONY can afford. And I'm fine with fantasy stuff to fill in blanks, like PD created teams and Formula GT for instance. I want a huge single player game.

We definitely need the Livery Editor too, because all those online leagues and clubs will suffer if all they get are... team colors. :P

P.S.
Ditto to the guy below.
