Great job to the fast ones in Div I

Good stuff from Div II, especially the first few

And great job to TS020, almost clipping my bumper and 👍 to the rest

530HP Skyline r34 GT-R V-Spec II
weight modification #3 running with Turbo2 instead of the first stage with no intercooler and muffler

edit: hehe

Second podium in as many races, just call me Jenson. I even beat some Div1's this week, w00t. Hats off to TS020, stunning.

TS020
Wow!! GoKents! 1:20.556!!!! how did you do that??That's really awesome! 👍

Well I put a replay up so there may be a few here that could tell you.

Of course, cinjun should be able to tell you also.

Also, I might be able to find out how to make an mpeg out of that thing.

So I will look into that...

However, I'm gonna need you to do me a favor and go check your Pm box, then get back to me asap.

Thanks again, and I am sure you can understand. ;)

btw, I never got to mention it, but I also got in enough time to run a ctr2 down to 1'22.9. Not a perfect run, but it still felt like a good one. :D

Till I get back to this specific thread with more news on any issue at hand,
later. :D

The gaps are a bit surprising, there's 1'20.556 and then daylight, it's like GoKents and cinjun were driving Ferraris.

I didn't PM my car but it was a Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II (R34, J) as I said a few times in the 73 thread.

Thanks for that Road_Dog. I worked pretty hard on this one, and I didn't lose much in the 1st sector where I thought I was slow, so GoKents and cinjun, you guys were very quick, congrats. 👍

Hmm..

Omero bailed on the 22B STi did he? Very funny.

Atleast I was on the podium. And who wasn't.

BTW, GoKents, Omero is in Divison 3, not 2. It says that itself in the Drivers classes thread. ;)

I can't view these replay's.It need a driver wich a don't have :grumpy:

Well on the list of drivers "Omero" is in division 3 between "gt4" and "boone_501"

So I think that Omero is div 3.

And thanks for the compliments on my lap everyone. 👍

Im still gonna look into getting it made into an mpeg, so hopefully I will be back with news on that soon.

TS020, I will get back to you via pm.

I am so dumb, I totally forgot to include my division (D3) with my lap time :yuck:, I wouldve won too. It's alright though , I am very happy with my time. I must have spent 5 hours or more over the week. I have to get one of those x-port things so I am able to post my replays. Great driving kent and cinjun those are some unbelievable times 👍. I never thought someone would get into that range but I was surprised to see sub 1:21 times.

Nice laps everyone! Definitely looks like the Nismo R-Tune was the way forward for the fastest possible laps! Cinjun8 & GoKents, I'm seriously impressed at what can be wrung out of that car, any chance of you posting your modification levels and setups? I might have a go at it when I have a free moment one of these days!

Glad to see I wasn't the only one running an EVO, good job HareTurtle for hanging in with one too, even if its not the fastest car!

Respect to Famine for the fastest non-Skyline lap, Capn'Geech for sticking at it with the Beetle, Darin for his S4 and the Div 2 guys in the CTR2!

See you all again in the Cobra!

Edited to remove TS020 from the "seriously impressed" list and added him to the seriously disappointed list!

Hey! I'm not last again! I maybe last in my division, but not overall! ;)

Hi All,
Thank you.Congrats to Hotrod 269 and Darin** for their Div wins.
Something just seemed to click with the
R Tune.Trial Mtn isn't one of my better tracks,either.
I had been stuck @ T3=1:01.792,until I decided to give
it one more go with about two hours left.
Here is my replay.I wish I had the ability to mpeg it,but I dont.
Maybe Daan,or someone, can do something with it. I will post the settings I used
in a bit.

Later,
cinjun8
I just noticed you cant upload .sps files anymore. If you have trouble with it,pm me with your email and I will send you the .sps file.

***EDIT***Changed for obvious reason

Farewell guys,GoKents thinks I'm not to be trusted so I Won't return to this site before I get trouble with you.Farewell! :guilty:

I am indeed sorry regarding this situation.
Initially for the fact that this has even happend, and finally because it has gone public.

Calling me out in such a public way demands a response, and so...

As all of you may recall, TS020 made a post Here regarding his week 73 best lap.

Such a fast split (as pointed out by others) was very good. In fact, one member mentioned that TS020 was able to break the 27.0 split between t2 & t3.

This made me wonder where I could be going wrong, so I did "the math."

With the posted T times, his lap had a split between T2 & T3 of 26.0 seconds.
My split between t2 & t3 came out to 26.9 seconds (t2: 34.9 -> t3: 1'01.8).

I had already seen this reply as well as this reply.
This continued here.

All of these were suggesting that he was just having a good week and was fully aware of just how fast the posted times were.

This brought my attention to him closely enough that when he submitted a pm to me, I replied asking,
GoKents
I actually did want to privately ask you about your lap.

Are you sure there was no mistake in your time keeping.

For your t times specifically.

If there was no mistake, I would like to ask you for you analyzer data.
Specifically, that should include

Final Time
T Times
All Sector Times
All Sector Average Speeds
Your speed at crossing starting line
Your speed at crossing the finish line
Your top speed on the longest straight

Now, of course, that is only necessary if you reported the correct T times & Final Times throughout your week of posting.

Please get back to me on this as soon as you can,
Till then,
Thanks for working with me,

Respectfully,
-Kent

To which TS020 responded,
TS020
Yes!!! thanks for asking that,my T3 wasn't 1;02.7 but 1.03.7.So my lap time isn't 1:22.396 but 1;23.396.

Sorry for that mistake, just noticed very late :scared:
I knew there was something wrong when they tell me that I was so fast so then I realised it.Thanks for reminding my of it pal!! :) I almost cheated!! :scared: :ouch:

At this point I let it go since he dropped his time by a full second.
I thought that if he made a mistake it was caught and no big deal.
I also thought that if he wasn't familiar with serious OLR racing and thought he could run down the wall after the back straight without getting caught, he got the "rude-awakening" needed to mold him into great racer who played by the rules.

So in either case, I had let it go and decided that his slower time would be acceptable.

However, at the end of the weekly race's deadline I got this...
TS020
Run another 40 laps and this is how my final lap time looks like.

TS020 Div.3 1:22.406.

Thinks its a pretty good lap,I even try pushing harder but it ended against the wall. So I expect very close time's tomorrow.

See you. 👍 :)

A final, last minute submission with a time that is only .010 behind his blazing fast "error" time.

Mind you all that no T times were posted & no public announcment of his previous error was made in the week 73 thread.

After recieving this new time that rivaled his previous time, I was concerned again.
I responded with this PM.
GoKents
Looks like you improved quite a bit since our last talk.

With that in mind, I am going to need all the things requested in our original discussion (From when you made the mistake in your time and reported a 1'22.??? instead of the 1'23.??? )

So please, get back to me with the following...

Analyzer data that includes-
All sector times
All sector average times
All T Times
Top Speed
Speed at the crossing of both start and finish
Final Lap time

Please get back to me with these times asap!

Thanks for the cooperation.

I requested a "read reciept" as usual.

At 1:10am I posted week 74's race.

Waiting for him to read it , I checked the message... And at 1:18am my time zone he read it but did not respond.

Finally at 4:20am my time zone he responded with this...
TS020
Ok,I will send these requests together with my time for this week 74.But It will take a wile, yesterday my controller said it was enough and now its broken so i'll have to buy a new one.

See you later dude. 👍 :D

Then at 9:42am my time zone he replied to week 74 with this (clearly having run laps).

So he responded to me explaining that he could not provide the data because of his controller, but then 8 hours later he responded to week 74, with a clear ability to use his controller.

I repeated my request, and then after no answer sent one final request with a stern and authoritative tone.

Citing his post in week 74...
My PM to TS020
This was posted well after you read my initial private message asking for the data.

If you don't get back to me by the end of the day with that data I am going to assume the worst.

This is just a playstation game, but many people take it very seriously and many people take great pride in the work they put in to get a good lap.

Please, don't turn this into a bad situation.

Get that data to me, all of it, and quickly.

Please.

Remember, by the end of the day...
If you had the controller to run seattle after I asked for your time, you had the controller to get that data.

So go get it and get back to me.

Should you not adhear to my request, I will remove your name from the registered drivers list, and I will remove your name from the results of every week you have been in.

This is important since I do not want to do any of that.

I would preffer you stay with us and continue running.

So please, please please get back to me soon!

In response to this I recieved this PM.
TS020
Yeah so what!! Go on remove it then,I just don't understand why you need it?!

And I who was thinking that the people here on GTplanet
were to be thrusted.Another site I will log out as a member. 👎 :guilty:

Then this PM...
TS020
Oh and that controller ,it's not mine because mine whas broken down and I just borrowed the controller for Seattle.I think this is the last message that I'm gonna send here so FAREWELL!!!

So I ask all of you, were those responses necessary?

Could TS020 have just taken the time of 2 laps on seattle to completely and permanantly ended this problem?

Yes, he could have taken that time and yes he could have ended this.
Instead, you have his replies to this thread and the Private Messages sent to me.

I will let you all, his and my peers be the judge of this situation.

Remember, I may have implied a level so suspicion, but I never used such a vulgar term as cheat or liar.

Now please, respond to this as you will.

I think you handled that very well GoKents, and those responses did seem a bit unnecessary. I know I don't have an xport yet (first one got lost in mail) so if anyone queried a time I submitted I would be so eager to prove it any way I could, and would supply as much data as possible, thats what I don't understand about TS020's responses.

Well Handled Go Kents!!! 👍
:D I questioned a "Statement" he made in another thread two days ago while he was viewing the thread. And still NO Reply. :irked: Maybe he thinks no one here will "Call His Bluff" but oh how Wrong he'll be!!! ...UB57 :D

I would like to applaud GoKents for the way he has handled this very awkward situation and also the method/system that has been adopted when difficult questions need to be asked. Well done mate 👍 👍 👍

I don't think any one of us could have handled it any better than you did GoKents, you gave him the benefit of the doubt at every turn and just asked for proof - nothing more, nothing less. No accusations, nothing. Regardless of his responses or if he cheated or not, he's asked to be removed from the series, so be it. Let's move on to hearing me ***** about week 74.

Congrats to iceman, new div 3 winner I believe.

UB, Sphinx, Eagle

Thank you very much.

I am always worried about how I handle situations like this and your positive comments are more than enough to keep me on the right track. 👍

Thanks again,
-kent

Ditto from me!

You handled that just like any great leader would. 👍

I fell asleep before I sent my time in for this week. :dunce:
Wasn't very good anyways. Hopefully I can stay awake this week.

Think you're right, of course, GoKents.
First time round, a typing error, maybe, and you caught him out on that one. ;)
Trying it again and being foolish enough to stick to a lame story. Hmmmmm. :indiff:
5 minutes and he could proved us all wrong, or admitted his mistake, had a slap on the wrist and raced with us this week......oh well, he won't be too badly missed, we've got plenty of real & honest racers around here to keep us all on our toes!! :)
A shame, & I guess one that doesn't happen too often.

If anybody wants my X-Port replay, let me know.

Otherwise, I don't want to get my PS2 over here.

and :bowdown::bowdown:Go Kents:bowdown::bowdown:

Very well handled Kent. It's situations like these that prove you are the best person for the mod job at the WRS:tup:

I kinda suspected it when he posted T times that rivalled the Pros; seeing as how he's in division 3 I honestly think he must've been faking it. Still, if the replay exists, I would really like to see those times and how in God's Name he managed to get so fast around the track.

@Darin; I am, as Omero, registered in Division 3 (unless I got promoted somehow without an announcement or my knowledge). As Jpec07, I am registered in Division2. Omero, 👍

Replay as well as analyzer data.

You know, I went and looked at the lap in MKS.

Dude, I know it will seem odd, especially if you're already neck deep in week 74, but try down loading my replay, then take the settings down with MKS.

I promise you it will help
(well I hope).

Give it a try. ;)

Blake, ROADDOGG, smallhorses...
Thanks. :D
