Remember about the pay per download I mentioned before??? I think that it will be implemented on GT4. :indiff:

It will be a sad day when the good name of KY (and the GT series) is tarnished by blatant capitalism... but how many people on this forum would pay (or have already paid) multiple $$$ for a gameshark/Xport just to own the Nomad Diablo or various other cars/extras that are otherwise unavailable???

There is obviously an ample market for this sort of thing, but let's just be thankful that KY and PD see fit to furnish us with loads of game for our money from the outset, regardless of future add-ons that come at a price later on... :D

Well atleast if they are going to charge for 'good' downloads, I hope they accept debit cards aswell as credit cards, unlike Xbox live.

Can't say I can be bothered with a credit card :grumpy:

I think they twisted KY's words... He wasn't talking about paying for downloadable content when he said that. They probably got it from the E3 '04 presentation when they were talking about the 3D crowds...

I dont have a credit card and dont plan on getting one. I dont want a hdd. I think PD is making a mistake with this downable crap, just give us all of it!!!

..just give us all of it!!!

I agree, but although I have faith in PD, they've never had the (potential) functionality of the HDD of the PS2 to consider before... let's just hope that they give us what we expect...i.e. the full shebang! :) But if there is to be some add-ons, let's hope they are reasonable about it, and give us our money's worth.. still, I'm sure we won't be disappointed come GT4 time!

Yea. If they are going to give us extras, let them be small extras. Like colors for your pitcrew, or new colors you can use to paint your car. Not major things like new tracks or cars.

This could well be PD's way of getting Ferrari, Porsche and possibly even Lamborghini into GT4. However if they are released shortly after the release date, it's a blatant money making scheme from Sony. I would only expect future cars to appear for download not anything current. Let's hope Sony don't only see $$$ in their eyes for this and provide a service that people will actually want to use rather than have to.

Well, given the future potential of the computer gaming market, could you blame them? The important point to remember is that with or without add-ons, GT4 will be the best racing game/sim ever made... :D

I don't think so... I think you can forget that idea, otherwise they'd have to credit them from the start.

I think we missed something. I dont believe we will have to pay for new things. The mag says we will have to pay someone to pimp our ride. We all missed that :D

Can this "downlodable content" be contained? if so people might use it to their advantage to sell to the local GT crowd... which in turn will be throwing it all to hell.

I for one think its a nice idea.. I mean, it might be a way to keep the game constantly updated with new cars that come out and such. The only way it'll suck is if a car costs more than 50 cents. Anything above that and I say SHAWDY GOT DAMN NO WAY!

He was saying that each one of us could buy one car and then share it here with everybody.

That article is only speculation, but if it turns out that way, I can tell you that I won't spend a single Euro on a download.

From what I understand people could sell their cars or their saved game to other people who dont have the time to play the game that often. I dont think they have said anything about down loading cars.

I guess that could be a good idea for a Flee Market...Someone could spend a whole month just perfecting a file and sell it for a good 10 mil. But then again, whats the point of getting money when you've basicaly finished the game...

I thought that sony only made 40 GB HDD for the ps2.. Imeant home made as you took an ordinary HDD and made it ps2 compatible.
