You guys suck at this ... here's another cool one.

The Titan rollercoaster at Six Flags Over Texas ... UNDER CONSTRUCTION!! How cool is that? This is from Feb 2001.

Yeah, that's an issue. Not all of them are in color. Depends on which satallite was taking the pictures, I presume. Generally if it's 2002 or newer they will be in color, but that's not garounteed. I haven't figured out a pattern to what gets updated either. Except that places that don't change much are really old. Check out DC ... it's got some cool stuff. And any huge ass city. The buildings are awesome.

Nevermind, I figured it out. Only Urban Area maps are in color.

Not true. Houston hasn't been updated in a while and is all in black and white. As is Chicago. And New York City. The cool thing about NYC is that it hasn't been updated since before the towers came down (someone might want to do that one).

Epcot! Which appears to be under construction because I don't remember a giant crain thing when I was there.

Isn't that just the giant glimmering *Epcot* sign? btw thats one of the best parks ever.

Not that I am aware of. Different national governments have different rules about taking pictures from the sky. There are also section of the USA satalite imagery that are blocked out.

The roofs of many government buildings in Washington DC are actually colored over, and the roof of the capitol buildling is "fuzzed" out. But that whole area is cool to look at. The layout of the buildings is really neat, and the detail is amazing.

Liberty Island and Statue of Liberty (scroll up and to the right for WTC Towers) I couldn't find the Empire State Building. Anyone have better knowledge of NYC?

This is Nuclear One southwest of Russellville, Arkansas. It's hard to tell what's going on because of all the steam coming out of the cooling tower, but you can see the shadow cast by it.

You guys need to zoom out on this one and look around a bit. The Space Needle in Seattle. You can see the monorail and the museaums all from the World's Fair era. If you go south a bunch you'll find the stadiums which are in the middle of the GT3 Seattle course. Above them you'll find the Smith Tower and the Columbia Building (Bank of America) which are both famous buildings - Columbia Building being the 40th tallest building in the world.

In San Francisco the [url="http://www.terraserver-usa.com/image.aspx?t=1&s=13&x=347&y=2615&z=10&w=2"]Bay Bridge, Alcatraz[/url], and of course the Golden Gate Bridge. Not to mention Lombard Street ... which is dang hard to find. It's the curvy section of road in amongst the grid of streets. If you put your mouse in the middle of the picture you will be inbetween two tall white buildings. Go right one block, down one block and look to the right of that intersection. Here's another shot.
