Missing Vehicles: GT3/GTC/GTP

The purpose of this thread is to provide a listing of GT3/GTC/GTP vehicles that have been omitted from GT4. As 100% of the game has been completed (NTSC/J, NTSC/A, PAL) this list serves as an obituary to the cars that we have lost. Be sure to let me know if you have any revisions via PM.

I never knew there was a 911 GT3 hidden in the game until you post this. That's crazy.

Anyways, for the cars, I think 328ci doesn't have to make a comeback because we got not just one M3, but several of them, and we also got an M coupe and 3er touring car which made even much better BMW selections IMO.

Cheers!

I loved the 911 GT3, I prefered the handling to the RGT. Damn I hope that the GT40 Road car is in though.

Edit: What we need is someone to make a program simmilar to MK's GT3 garage editor so we can find some hidden goodies in GT4 I hope.

Thats how many credits the player has, the 911 couldn't be sold, it had a value of 0.

Taneras
1 trillion credits for a 911? Is that car really in GT3???

The car has no value. Look more carefully, it says - - - - under Value.
That car was in GT3 but it was hidden means that you have to shark it out using Gameshark.
Same thing goes for the Lamborghini Diablo race car.

Gillet Vertigo race car ‘1997
Nissan Z Concept '2001
These cars are in the game just newer versions :) Oh ya BTW The Nissan Z is called the Nissan Fairlady Z 👍

The Aston Martin Vanquish of 2002 is the same as the 2004 model. The only change Aston Martin have made to the Vanquish is the new Vanquish S.

Cheers, Jamie

Hmm, I must have forgotten to re-lock this thread after an update.

Jessekatianda, I have to agree with your sentiment. Nonetheless, for those who own a 328Ci…

j8mie, the Vanquish from GT3/GTC was from 2000. In addition, the 2004 model sports the new inelegant nine spoke alloys that are a feature of the sports dynamic pack.

Ryosuke_Gumna, I have yet to come across the ‘03 EVO MR. Further, the car is not listed in the prize car list. I think that we can expect it however, as an image of it features in the Mitsubishi car dealer section. If anybody has sighted it…

BRENTON8907, the 2001 concept car was simply referred to as the Z concept. Also, the new Vertigo race car differs greatly from the ’97 model.

Samberto

the EVO MR is the first car i brought in GT4

I spoke with the359…he is unsure.

edit: nice GT-A in your avatar.
Thanks :), i see no one has this car, so i request and i got it. Lovely Evo VII GT-A.

The 2003 MR has BBS wheels, and the MR GSR 2004 has Enkei wheels. (all i know)

Hyde
there is no difference between the 2 cars
Hyde, whether you like it or not, they are two separate cars.

Firslty, the 2003 MR is heavier than the 2004 MR GSR. (10Kg difference)
Secondly, as Ryosuke has noted, the 2003 MR has BBS wheels, and the MR GSR 2004 has Enkei wheels.
Thirdly, both the 2003 MR and the 2004 MR GSR are listed by PD in the first preview booklet.

You can pretty much cross out the hidden Porsche and Lamborghini. PD wasn't allowed to have them but still managed it with NTSCJ GT3.

I dount Porsche and Lamborghini are gonna let them get them again.

I've only seen one pic. Just the front end of it.

It looks pretty much the same, just different sponsors and color.

icemanshooter23
The Vertigo isn't in? I seem to remember seeing some discussion about in the GT4 forum.

If you read the first post, you would know that the hidden cars have been listed in order to show what has been lost. Also, the Porsche 911 GT3 was hidden in the NTSC/J version of GT3.

As for the Vertigo being unchanged, look at the specs before you post...

Very interesting subject, Samberto. Some replies show that people are terribly unaware (or don't care much) about the content of the GT series. :nervous:

These are my personal impressions - I notice that they often differ from the average GT user :)

1. I personally regret the absence of the BMW 328ci. It might be dropped by BMW because it is heavy, and therefore not so fast as people would expect, but it was fun to drive and still turned times comparable to a group of hot cars of all set-ups (FWD, RWD and 4x4).

I chrono-ed the table below on Autumn Ring 2 :
1996 Nissan 180SX Type X 01:30,953
1991 Nissan Skyline GTS-t Type M (R32) 01:31,023
2004 Chrysler Crossfire 01:31,029
1999 Toyota Celica SS-II 01:31,034
2002 Renault Clio 2.0 16V 01:31,114
1990 Mazda RX-7 GT-X (FC) 01:31,191
2001 Hyundai Coupé 01:31,193
2001 Nissan Primera 2.0V 01:31,237
1996 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon GT-B (2nd) 01:31,306
2002 Mini Cooper S 01:31,330
1999 BMW 328ci 01:31,388
1997 Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R 01:31,412
1997 Toyota Celica SS-II (ST202) 01:31,462
1998 Toyota Altezza RS200 01:31,863
2000 Audi TT Coupe 1.8T Quattro 01:32,172
2002 Honda Accord Euro R 01:32,193
2001 Alfa Romeo Spider 3.0i V6 24V 01:32,294
2001 Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0 V6 24V 01:32,303
1998 Alfa Romeo 156 2.5 V6 24V 01:32,689
1999 Peugeot 206 S16 01:32,994

2. The Vertigo in GT4 will probably turn out to be an unreal phantasy car, as nobody seems to have ever heard about a Vertigo with these extreme specs.
The specs of the '97 Vertigo were correct in GT3, so I'd prefer that car over this new one.
Even more interesting would it have been to compare the '97 and '04 models, both with their real specs, as the minimum weight for their class in the Belcar series was raised by 100 kg or more somewhere in between '97 and '04.

3. The '66 Ford GT40 was 500 kg lighter as it's 2005 counterpart! Imo this might have been a reason to exclude it from GT4 (too fast?)

4. I'm surprised by the absence of the GT-One road car. On road tyres it would be a nice competitor for the other supercars. Also both Mazda RX-8 Concepts are in GT4, so why no Nissan Z concept, Kaz?

There are at least 4 different GT40's in GT4 that I've seen so far, in the 2 days I've been playing. The original race car, the new prototype, the new production car and the new race car! we will wait and see if a 5th GT40 appears. I've been thinking about starting to figure out some hybrids in GT4 but I've never gone about finding the engine/car/mod codes myself before. I'm guessing you just save out your game save with action replay, then change one thing in your game, save it to your pc again and compare the two files in a hex editor untill you finally figure what does what. I'll put that on my list of things to do. My brother can code good enough to whip up a nice program once I had the codes and knew what's going on

There are two race versions of the contemporary Ford GT in the game. One is Gulf sponsored; the other is the white car with the rear wing that features in the opening sequence. It is also of note that you can win special versions of the 2005 production car without the stripes. Here is a photomode pic I made of the said car.

Probably not many of you will care.

But is there a 1999 Ford Cougar or Mercury Cougar in the game?
There was one in GT2.
And they (both the Ford Cougar and Mercury Cougar '99 and '00) were on all the GT4 car lists posted on the web before....

I need to know.... :nervous:
